A small but unique piece of land that was given to a family in the 1920s by the Florida Railroad Company. It stayed in the family until we purchased it. It is unique because the surrounding area does not have much tree coverage. This is
due to the ground underneath, which is a vein of grey marl. This is why the area is called the Allapattah (an Indian word for Alligator) Flats.
We are hoping that our county stays the way it is so people will know what Old Florida really looks like.
Minutes from I-95, but surrounded by the Allapattah Flats Wildlife Management Preserve. Located on Martin Hwy, which was recently designated as a Florida Scenic Hwy. Fifteen minutes to Stuart and thirty minutes to West Palm Beach, a world away from the hustle and bustle.
We realize that people also love Florida for Disney and tropical paradises but if that is what you want then this may not be your kind of place.
Depending on the season and availability we may have local honey and/or firewood available for purchase.

But please know the camp sites are far from music stage, pavilion, and festival area, and the music is usually ONLY during the afternoons and over by 4pm, so the evenings are quiet.
Since we are a working farm property, there may be farm activity early some mornings, usually weekdays. We want you to know all this when deciding if we are a good fit for you to visit

This is not a place for glampers, people afraid of nature, or people that cannot deal with bugs or extreme temperatures!!! During certain times of the year and certain times of the day, there are a million bugs! We stay inside during these times.
We are 25 minutes from Okeechobee City, the bass fishing capital of the world, 45 minutes to Fort Pierce, & 35 miles from Sebring International Raceway. The Kissimmee Prairie State Park is very close by. The prairie is the darkest part of Florida. Astronomers, bring your telescopes and cameras to capture the night.
You will possibly see cows, bobcats, wild turkeys, wild pigs, armadillos, birds, or the neighbors dogs might show up. Don’t worry, they are quite friendly.
We have a 50 amp RV Hookup with NO septic and plenty of space for primitive camping.
Bring your horse, but there is no paddock or barn.
The storage building on the premises is not part of the rental, please leave it alone.
There is electricity and non-potable water. The water is safe for teeth brushing, washing dishes, and showering, but it does have a very strong smell of sulfur. There is an outhouse. Please use it sparingly & only flush toilet paper provided. There is an outside sink, an outside shower with no privacy, a picnic table and a fire pit. If you come with your RV, please use your RV toilet. There will be a major fine for any septic dumping.
1/3 of the land is cleared and 2/3 is full of mature oak trees and trails. It is fenced with barbed wire fencing.
Please keep your food trash in your cars & take it with you. You do not want to attract predators. You can recycle, or throw away any trash that is not related to food in the garbage can. Keep an eye on your small dogs. There are also snakes and predatory birds.

If you’re looking for places to visit for the day or services nearby, you can head to Okeechobee, which is only 20 min away. Lake Placid is only 40 min, Vero Beach is only 1 hr, and Melbourne is 1 hr 30 min.
All of the listed locations offer great opportunities for fishing, hunting, swimming, and beach hangouts. Each of the sites allows for watching the livestock, hanging out at the watering hole, and sitting around the communal campfire.
Our favorite things about our property are privacy, amenities, and all of the roaming mini livestock throughout the property!
Your hosts do not live onsite however, will be available to you during your visit. We are friendly and as non-invasive as we can be. We do love meeting our guests and are available for any questions that come up. Our primary purpose when developing this property was to create a safe space for children with special needs and their families. We are a no judgment zone and adhere to Hipcamp's inclusion policy.

Bring your RV away from the hustle and bustle of the city to the wide open spaces of the country. The only sounds you'll hear are cows mooing, goats baaing, and horses neighing. Sunsets and the stars are a site to see out here.
THE PROPERTY:
The owners live on the property with their 2 children and are willing to be helpful in anyway. Children are more than welcome to tag along. Being kid friendly is a plus for us as our kids might be running around enjoying their property. Can't forget dog friendly either. Our dogs love to greet our guests.
NEARBY ATTRACTIONS:
If beaches are on your agenda, South Causeway and Fort Pierce Inlet State Park are only 25 minutes from the beach! Our favorite place to grab breakfast, lunch, or dinner is Carter's Grocery, which is only 4 minutes from our property.
ACTIVITIES:
We have chickens that lay eggs and are great for eating so if you'd like some fresh eggs, feel free to go over to their house and grab some. We have a Pavillion with a fire pit that is welcomed to be used. Our dock provides a look out on our pond. Please feed the fish some food if you'd like. Also, take time to fish in our pond and catch some tilapia or blue gill. The kids have a blast fishing as the fish are easy to catch.
THE SPACE:
The site you'll be staying at is close to the owners house. There are 2 parking spots on asphalt that are available for the campers vehicles or park directly at your site. The ground will be grass that the camper will park on.
Please note: we have 2 gates with gate codes that shut automatically. Please be sure each gate closes behind you! We have free roaming cattle and other farm animals outside the camping area.
We are always open to recommendations on how we can make your stay even better! We cant wait to share our property with you and hopefully you'll find our place as somewhere you'd love to return!

What a fabulous camp site! Nestled in a quiet corner of this busy area of Florida, we enjoyed camping here and spending our days visiting Palm Beach, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, and Miami . Having our dogs welcomed and amazingly, access to the pool makes this a Top Campsite! Highly recommend this for an overnight camp or extended stay!

We were excited to learn of the app first and foremost and was able to book an immediate campsite wven at such a late hour . Dany was very welcoming , made sure we found it easily . We had a 4x4 Jeep Cherokee ( big tires and lifted ) so the sand he mentions was bot bad at all . Very nice and private set up . Loved that it had little marked trails , firepit and off grid restroom room . I always enjoy those added perks . Very quiet area and the sky watcher views were awesome . Highly recommended ,

The place is peaceful. The sites are spread out and picturesque.
To reach the unlabeled farm gate you will pass through a crowded manufactured home and trailer park. Don't worry! The directions are clear. The gate is mock-locked, which wasn't noted in the directions, so it took us a few minutes to realize. We'll retuun next time we take a trip!

We rented from Jeffrey for several weeks while house hunting in the area. The canopy over the site is great for helping the rv stay cool, and the large yard & swing set was awesome for our dogs & one year old to run & play! We also got the pleasure of watching their chickens grow up from just a few weeks old & had fun gecko hunting too. Highly recommend!

Another great afternoon at the pavilion. Good food, good music, big fans that moved plenty of air, just good all the way around. It's amazing how they can turn muscadine grapes into a fantastic beverage.
Camping was perfect. Spots were wide, long, level and well mowed. Very easy to back into, even for a poor backer-upper like me. Plenty of pull-throughs for easy access, and hookups available. This is an EXTREMELY quiet place to camp, no busy roads nearby, heard nothing but a few frogs.
A beautiful camper's patio extends over the canal, perfect for fishing. I forgot to bring any fishing gear; next time . . .
I can see why this is listed as a #1 place to camp in so many places. Fantastic pavilion for bands or events, well-stocked and friendly winery, plenty of room for car shows and gatherings. A great weekend retreat . As Arnold Schwarzenegger said: "I'll be back!" But next time, with a fishing pole.

It was very quiet, and there was a lovely pond with seating by it. The property was mowed and well kept. It felt safe. We saw a bunny and what I think was a short tailed weasel. No alligators though! The small Flying Frog sign confirmed that the address was correct.

We loved this campsite! Very private with lots of trees and a nice outdoor picnic table. The pool and hot tub were very nice and clean. The hosts were very friendly and attentive. Will definitely stay here again when we are in the area!

You will love Vicky and her amazing property! She provided an absolutely lovely massage as well as a delicious smoothie. The converted bus was clean, comfortable, and filled with great energy. You will love Rocco and all the animals. A great place to recharge!

Weekend Trip to Blue Fox Ranch: Lake & Farm Camp
We loved our stay at the Sunset View Camper at Blue Fox Ranch and are already looking forward to returning!
Luiz was friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The ranch is a beautiful property with animals including Bruno the dog, horses, bulls, chickens, and plenty of cows. We even spotted a “swamp puppy” and caught a fish during our stay.
The camper was small but comfortable, with a queen bed, two bunk beds, a fold-out futon, a compact refrigerator, a three-burner stove, dishes, and other essentials. The bathroom was small but functional, and the hot shower was a welcome treat after a day outdoors.
One of our favorite activities was taking the paddle boat out on the water. We spent about an hour exploring, got several bites, and caught a nice small bass. The location is also convenient, with Brighton Bay Casino nearby and plenty of fishing opportunities in the area.
Be sure to bring firewood and supplies for s’mores. The night sky was breathtaking, with countless stars visible in the clear, dark skies. Although there were other campers and tent sites on the property, the ranch still felt peaceful and spacious.
We also recommend bringing apples and carrots for the horses and stopping for supplies before arriving. The nearest Walmart is in Clewiston, about 28 minutes away, though there is a Dollar General just a few minutes down the road.
If you’re looking for glamping, this isn’t it. But if you want a true camping experience surrounded by nature, Blue Fox Ranch

20 ft pop-up camper
This was our first time booking through HiCamp. Vito has a beautiful camp area set up for his guests, he was also very informative and helpful. The pond was our absolute favorite, turtle Okee was sweet enough to come up close to land and say hello. We would definitely stay again.
