Always working on improvements! My second glamping site "The Medieval Encampment", is available for booking starting April 1st of 2025. I will have more pictures soon. In April of 2024, my long awaited 1st Glamping site was available for booking. It's been very popular! Please read the description carefully of the "Gypsy Rose Vardo", to see if it's the right fit for you. I also have 10 large camping sites available on our 33 acre property located in Northwest NJ. Sites 1 through 4 are on mowed, fairly level fields and are large enough for campers or RV's up to 30ft, or a couple of tents, and sites 5 and 6 are further back in the woods, available only for a few small tents, sites 7 through 10 are much further into the property and are only accessible with a high clearance AWD or 4WD SUV or you can park and hike your gear in. There are 3 compost toilet outhouses spread out through the property, so it's an easy walking distance from any site. Although we are only 2 1/2 miles from a main highway, the last 2 miles are on a dirt road with no houses. We are surrounded by protected land, so no neighbors and lots of wildlife, including the occasional bear, coyote or raccoon. Keep all food items secured. Because we are surrounded by protected land we are not sprayed for insects, so be safe and do tick checks often and bring the bug spray. We are 45 minutes from NYC or the Delaware Water Gap and an hour away from the NJ shore. There are horse farms nearby that offer trail rides. We are also close to the Highland and Appalachian Hiking trails. There are two reservoirs within a 20-minute drive for canoeing or kayaking. There are walking trails through our property, including a ten-minute hike on a marked trail to a small waterfall in a ravine.

Bridgeport Reservoir is a lake at the lower end of Bridgeport Valley in Mono County, California. Its earth-filled dam was constructed in 1923 by the Walker River Irrigation District, along the East Walker River. The campground and marina was built I-don't-know-how-long ago, but it sure is nice! About Us: Welcome to Bridgeport Reservoir Marina and Campground. Join us for the classic camping and fishing experience with unique views of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. Within the Toiyabe National Forest, Bridgeport Reservoir Marina and Campground is conveniently located near two distinct hot spring areas. A true angler's paradise, the Reservoir has excellent trout fishing from spring through fall and is close by to multiple rivers for incredible fly fishing. A 35 minute drive on highway 120 will take you to the Tioga Pass Gate of Yosemite National Park. This gate is a great start to several different areas inside of the park that you may want to visit beyond that gate. Off-road enthusiasts would not have enough time in one visit to explore all of the 4x4 trails, abandoned mines, and sites in the area as well as the famous trail that brings you right to the Bodie Ghost Town. Climate and Ecosystem: At 6,400 feet (1,950 meters), this high desert climate has little to moderate tree coverage and gets hot during the days and cool at night. The conditions are much like Joshua Tree National Park or Alabama Hills camping area. During your visit, you will notice many flying insects that resemble mosquitos. These Chironomid are harmless and do not bite. On the contrary, the mosquito presence is very minimal. Swimming in the lake is possible usually between April to July.

IMPORTANT: We are up 1.3 miles of dirt road (with 5-7+% grade in a few short stretches) and are not near public transportation so you will need your own vehicle! Be aware that the roads can be snowy, icy or muddy and rutted ( 4-wheel or All-trak recommended in certain times of year). We don’t guarantee the road will be plowed. We generally close for the season due to cold weather around Halloween and reopen just before Memorial Day. This is a non-smoking, no candle facility.

We are a small privately owned campground ( on the outskirts of Placerville. The property features 86.5 secluded Tahoe like acres with beautiful year-round Weber Creek. The camp sites are placed along the creek or the bluff overlooking the creek. We have traditional dirt camping, canvas tents on platforms, teepees and glamping tents for those that want the comforts of home. We are tent camping only with only one site that allows a small travel trailer or van. (#14) . We are dog friendly and allow dogs in all but 5 glamping sites. We do enforce camp rules especially our quiet time between 10 PM and 7 AM We’ve been told that we have a “family camp” vibe. We are a great place for families wanting a safe environment for their kids but also several group sites for those that want to hang out together with multiple families. We are also a great base site for those wilderness enthusiasts with access to all the El Dorado National Forest including Desolation but want a hot shower at the end of the day. We have a lodge that is stocked with games and a ping pong table. The lodge has a microwave, Keurig machine and a hot water kettle for those hot drinks (BYO Cups).We have several tables set up for those that want to eat inside as well as multiple picnic tables along the side of the lodge with overhead protection. We have electricity at the at the lodge for small appliances and charging phones. We have a compressor on site to blow up your air mattresses or float toys. We’ve been told that our bathrooms are the “cleanest” ever and have changing tables and diaper pails. We offer nice flushing toilets and hot showers! We have many extra amenities including a compressor to use for your air mattresses, For outdoor activities we have basketball, volleyball, pickleball and cornhole not to mention the playground with swing set . We have hiking trails throughout the property. Our highlight is a camp fire bowl with bench seating with a stage to display camper talent which is perfect for the evening fire and roasting s’mores (bring the fixings). The creek starts out in spring looking like a rushing river featuring many fishing and swimming holes. As the summer progresses the water level falls but is still great for water play and fishing. We have propane BBQs (we provide the propane for BBQs) located throughout the property. We also have a propane grill and charcoal BBQ located in the common area for all to use. There is a dutch oven pit also in the fire bowl area. We do not allow wood fires at the individual sites but each site has a propane firepit for ambiance (not cooking) that requires you to purchase a 20 lb. propane cannister on site (add in extras) or pay cash on site. No internet service. There is limited internet only available for purchases at the setore. We require a 3 night minimum for the major holidays - Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. We do exclusive events so you may need to explore multiple weekends to find the right reservation. We are located in the foothills so we are a short hop to many local attractions that include river rafting, gold mines, wineries and historical towns with great eating establishments. Tahoe is less than an hour away and there a many hiking trails within 20-30 minutes. We have a limited number of items to rent i.e, tents, cots, camp stoves, etc. We rent a battery pack for those that use a cpap. We also have a small store on site for those items you forgot and a good selection of ice cream and ice. We take venmo or cash.

Three entrances are for two sites each, the house entrance is for any questions. Please stop in if you have questions. The fields have been maintained to some degree until 2019 when Lee came up with the idea of primitive camping. The land turns out to be ideal because each site makes you feel like the only campers there. New this year you will find a picnic table for 6 and a 3 Ft. dia. fire pit with adjustable grill that flips out for open fire @ each site. Another new item is open to the sky "Hot Shower"

The campground was scenic and well kept. Our site felt the most private with the exception of the OA trail that goes thought the side of it. Though no one came through while we were there. It was not too close to the creek. We had never stayed in cots and my teen said the padded cots were very comfortable. I would recommend bringing more padding or renting it for the bunk beds. In early July the weather was supposed to be in the 90’s, however due to all of the tree covering it felt in the 70’s which was a bit of a bummer because it did not feel hot enough to jump in the beautiful water holes. Our family enjoyed the pickle ball, volley ball courts and ping pong. They had a variety of games, we borrowed Uno and Spot it.

Weekend Trip to Hobson Meadows

Thank you Beth for the lovely stay and warm welcome at Hobson farm. We traveled to Bellingham for a bike&music festival and decided to try hipcamp as so many hotels in town booked out or just crazy money for a motel-type stay. There's no comparison to how much more fun our small kids (ages5&6) had at the yurt - petting dogs and feeding trout and being beside a fire at night. Another unexpected highlight was the beautiful towns of Bow & Edison which we'd never discover otherwise. My husband and kids berated me for not booking two nights. Usually not as good a 'camper' as me, my husband was the one who had the best night sleep, and didn't want to leave. LOVED IT!

We loved staying here!! It was great to meet the pigs, see chickens and Guido was a very generous host. We especially liked the cat house in the central area of the property, the wood burning sauna, and getting out to the sweet pond area. It was also proximal to one of our favorite beaches and the sweet little town of Tomales.

Our family had a great time at this site. Beth and her husband were such a great hosts. Our toddler was so happy feeding the fishes in the spring/pond and played with the dogs at the site. Additionally, Beth accommodated our big group of 8 and allowed us to pitch tents close to the Yurts where our family were staying at. My family was so happy with this trip. Thank you for hosting us! 3 nights at Camp Nauvoo

Camp Nauvoo is a really great easy spot to camp with lots of options for comfort. We made plans last minute and it was lovely to just pack food and sleeping bags and be able to hit the road with ease. The tent cabin was spacious and very comfortable, the cots were lovely. And the bbq and add-on propane fire made life super easy. It's a bit of a hill to get to site 11 but they helped us load in with the golf cart. It was a bit of a hike to get to the bathroom, but it was good and quiet and pretty private. If I go again I plan to try the sites near the lower Creek. Would recommend for those looking for excellent trees and creek hikes. Just come prepared to protect your food from mice. The critter boxes are NOT mouse proof.

The Secret Gardens is a beautifully planned, coordinated, and unexpected deep dive into the passion, creativity, and imagination of another all shared without words. Every turn reveals something unexpected, with a whimsical Alice in Wonderland meets modern surrealism tone. . The landscaping is incredible, and as an ecologist, one of my favorite parts was seeing how many creative, sustainable building practices were incorporated into the site. Everywhere you look, there’s evidence of Yeyen and Forbod’s wildly creative dreams, attention to detail, and impressive craftsmanship. The photos LITERALLY don’t do it justice.. I highly recommend taking this side quest, will be back for sure.

Weekend Trip to Clayton Geneva Memorial Camp Ground

Was an amazing place to just be with your loved one. Quiet and secluded from all the hussle and bussle of life. Highly recommend it if you ever just want to get away with your plus one or just some needed you time. But please don't be fooled thinking it's just for singles or couples. With a small air mattress placed under the raised Queen bed the youngsters now have their very own fort and resting place. It sits roughly 20 yards from the Cumberland River where we fished and swam then spent the evening relaxing under the trees by our small fire.. the host(s) Myke and Amber were amazing as well, they checked on us throughout our stay and offer a wide variety of services to make your stay even more comfortable. When the wife and i broke camp and slowly headed back to our busy lives simultaneously we said as we hit the black top.... Let's book this place again on our anniversary.......
