Thank you for considering Clayton Geneva memorial campground for your camping trip. Please read the entire description including our rules and regulations. Also be sure to view the site map. The gravel driveway to the sites is passable with any vehicle. We offer camping ranging from primitive tent sites, to an actual cabin. We have some construction going on currently on at the main cabin on the property. Construction takes place 9am-5pm daily. A deck & siding is being added. 10/1-11/15 Hikers, Horses and riders welcome, located a couple miles from Daniel Boone National Forrest, seemingly endless trails through some of the most beautiful country. Bring your canoe and kayaks. Located 16 miles from Cumberland Falls State Park. Located 11 miles from Sheltowee Trade Adventure Park. Located 11 miles from Kentucky Splash Water Park. Clayton Geneva Camp Ground began as a retreat for our family since the 70's. My grandparents, Donald Clayton Russell & Jewel Geneva (Davis) Russell, purchased this little piece of heaven to get away from the hustle and bustle of Cincinnati life. Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family. Guests love staying here "We stayed in Birdsong cabin for the Halloween campout weekend. The cabin was ready for us upon arrival and very clean. We enjoyed the privacy of our covered porch and fire ring. The bird feeders hanging all around the cabin are wonderful to watch all the birds during the day. The community fire ring is close enough to enjoy with other campers, but not to close that we could hear anyone in our cabin. Amber and Michael checked on our needs many times during our stay. They hosted a chili cook-off that we greatly enjoyed and passed out candy to all the kids. Overall a great time and experience. We will stay here again."

We loved this place. It was probably the best campsite we've ever camped at in Kentucky. We reserved Sycamore cove and it was amazing. We played in the nearby river by floating on inner tubes. The staff was amazing and told us how to get to a nearby waterfall, which was the highlight of our trip. I would definitely recommend this place.

Horseman’s Camp @ Clayton Geneva
This was an amazing camp site! The pwners of the campsite are very family oriented leading to awesome service. They made sure we had everything we needed and made were taken care of. The campsite offers many fun activities! The river is easily accessible and perfect for tubing. Mini horses and donkeys were so cute and well loved by Amber. Loved to know that our stay at the camp site contributed back to the farm and the animals. Beautiful nearby hiking trail leading to a cute waterfall. Will be back!!!

Large spot and great view of the la
We had the opportunity to camp on the property where a couple of generations have lived on the land and enjoyed the nature. Great large space with an amazing view of the land and horses, along with a great shaded site with a picnic table, bench, and fire pit. Overall very quiet and great hospitality by the host and their family. We will return. Thank you!

A Wonderful Surprise.
This is the first time I have ever used Hipcamp, and my skepticism was pretty high. However, I was blown away. The campground is remote, but still within reasonable driving distance of so many things. The hostess (Amber!) was so incredibly kind and patient. They babysat our dog for a very reasonable price while we drove around for the afternoon. They said she was good, but I don't believe them...lol. We cannot wait to come back and try the river side sites. The other campers were courteous also. Everyone seemed to understand the getaway vibe. The portapotty at the primitives sites was spotless. Literally the cleanest of the kind I have ever seen...it even had a welcome mat. A short drive up the hill gets you access to flush toilets and hot showers. This will be our goto weekend getaway spot from now on. I can't recommend it enough. I only have a couple of minor suggestions. I would have loved a better camp map. Would have helped me understand the positioning of the campsites. You cuold also maybe add some kind of signal system to announce when a car is heading up the one way path...That's it actually it....I can't think of anything else I would change. Congratulations on this lovely little campground. We'll be back, and soon. Also the kids wanted to pet the donkeys and animals across the street....lol

Camping and outdoors at its best
Can't say enough positives about Michael and Amber. Spectacular host that went out of their way to make our 4 night stay warm and welcoming. The campsite was excellent and being right on the river was an added bonus. Mornings started with delightful sounds of song birds and Turkeys. Evening Owl hoots and surprisingly no mosquitoes made for awesome time sitting around campfire. Amber shared some local places to visit such as a waterfall we had to ourselves. Highly recommend staying at this campground and we will surely return. Tent camping, kayaking and fishing was great in this area as were our hosts!

Sycamore Cove
Perfect primitive spot
Check in and out super easy. Directions were easy to go by. The spot was exactly what we pictured. The host was very friendly checked in on us once but left us alone the rest of the time. We had the whole area to ourselves which was just lovely. So quiet and peaceful by the river. Couldn’t have asked for anything more

Sycamore Cove
We loved camping on Michael’s land! We were right beside the river. It was a beautiful location and we plan on coming back. It was quiet and secluded, and they have a very nice shower/toilet that is within walking distance with hot water. Cumberland Falls is about a 25 minute drive, not bad at all. One of our favorite things about this place was their cat, Camp. He is a very sweet boy and makes you feel very welcome. I highly recommend camping here!

Had a wonderful campsite next to the river. We drove our Sprinter van down without a hitch and spent a lovely night along the water's edge waking up to beautiful mist on the water. Very clean facilities and campground. We did not use the shower faculties at the top of the property but it was a nice setup. Fantastic communication from start to finish and bonus ... we had wifi which was such a treat :)

Judy’s Overlook
I loved how close the water was, although it was a touch challenging to lower a kayak in as it is steep. We were lucky to be the only ones tent camping it we would have had neighbors relatively close. But the host was great and took us back to our cars after kayaking back to the property on the river. Also the shower house was a great touch. We will be coming back again!

Sycamore Cove
Sycamore Cove Site
The campsites are very nice and on the river. We stayed at the Sycamore Cove site which is a little more secluded. Sound travels a little bit from the other sites but that’s normal. The bathroom is a single that you share with the other campers but I’d gladly trade quantity for quality. You’re not going to find a cleaner bathroom at any other campsite. a clean shower free of bugs is the perfect end to a day of hiking. The host Amber was very helpful and friendly. Best part is you can preorder firewood which is waiting for you at the campsite. It is dog friendly too! You can even get your dog groomed which is perfect after a weekend of hiking.

A Gem Near Cumberland Falls
This cabin was absolutely perfect! It has everything you need for relaxing time away. Amber is an amazing host! Quick to respond to all inquiries and quickly getting you anything you may need. Having a full bathroom out back is just the perfect touch. Especially if you plan on staying a few days. Definitely needed that shower after heading over to Cumberland Falls (only about 15 minutes away!) and doing some hiking. It is a place I highly recommend and look forward to returning to soon!

I was lucky to have the riverbank sites to myself because I was there New Year's Eve. These sites are right on the riverbank and it was so peaceful. All you hear are the birds and the sound of the river flowing. I wen up to use the bath house which is brand new and has a nice shower, toilet, and sink. They even had a heater installed to make it nice and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. I had ordered firewood and he brought it as soon as I got there. Amber helped me with directions and getting set up once I got there. My site also had wifi and electric set up. If you are looking for a nice quiet place to get away from it all I would suggest this location. Thumbs up!!

Camping in the cold
Gorgeous views while driving out! We happened to visit in the bitter cold, but we have this on our list to go back to in the future!! The host was very friendly & welcoming. Walked down to the river with our dog & it seemed like a really cool spot, wish we could've stayed longer.
