Judy was born in a little cabin just down the road. Judy & Don along with many family members have made cherished memories here over the years. We want to share its beauty with you and your family. Please consider, Clayton Geneva is a primitive campground, gravel drives and left as natural as possible. This is not a sculpted campsite or a concrete campground. The primitive area is as such, gravel, grass, sand terrain accessible by a one lane gravel drive that leads over the hill and around the cliff to the riverbank. This drive is absolutely passable however is left bumpy to keep traffic at a safe speed as pedestrians also walk the drive. It is passable by any vehicle as long as the vehicle is not overloaded beyond its ability and/or has an extremely low profile. Any area that is not an actual campsite is left to nature, not manicured, trimmed or sculpted. As you’ll find all the sites are clear please don’t expect micromanaging of wild growth of our native plants in areas around the sites as we reserve those areas for the wildlife to enjoy. Please consider all the above mentioned details, primitive campsites are not for everyone and that’s ok.

Due to the sharp entrance from the road to the driveway, we CANNOT accept rigs over 34' long. We cannot accept 5th wheels (due to height) because of some lower hanging tree branches along the driveway. WE DO NOT ACCEPT LONG TERM STAYS! This land has previously been a tobacco farm, a hay farm, and is now home to a few beef cattle. We have blazed trails through the woods for hiking, created campsites with fire rings, farmed hay, and grown various vegetables for self-consumption. We love the proximity of the farm to town, yet the seclusion we feel when we are on the farm. RULES DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BRING A MOTOTHOME OR PULL A TRAILER LONGER THAN 34' YOU WILL NOT MAKE THE TURN INTO THE ENTRANCE!! Use CAUTION when leaving property. There is a blind hill (dip in the road) on your left. Count to 5 to ensure there is not car in the dip. You may need to pull out a bit to see past a tree, so be ready to back up if you see a car coming. Place trash in the cans at your site or around the property or located by the house inside the metal bin. Leave your campsite clean. Clean up pet waste (including kitty litter) and put it in the trashcan. If you fly a drone, be respectful of others privacy. No Visitors No firearms No fires outside fire rings; Ensure your fire is fully extinguished before leaving Do not bring in firewood - we have some for sale.. Do not go in the barns or in rooms of the house- (only the bathroom if you purchased a bathroom access.) Do not move or remove rocks, artifacts or anything other than trash. Do not change the landscape in any way. Keep dogs on a leash especially if other campers are on the property. Keep an eye on your pets and children at all times.

Our remote 375 acres part farm and part natural woodland nestled up to Daniel Boone Forest is ideal for hikers and nature lovers. There are several hiking trails onsite and plenty of woods to explore. ATVs or side by sides are welcome to be used on the main gravel roads and some designated areas of our property. There is plenty of wildlife but NO hunting is allowed. Some of our designated tent sites do have firepits and/or picnic tables. Our trek in sites do not have those options. Pets are welcome for $10 per pet/per booking and they do need to be leashed/under control at all times. This is an extra so please be sure to add that if you plan to bring your pet. Please pick up after them. We are a short driving distance from West Liberty, Cave Run Lake, Grayson Lake, Carter Caves, Morehead, Natural Bridge and Red River Gorge. We are approximately 20 minutes from the nearest store so you'll want to come prepared. We are located in West Liberty (Morgan County). There are 2 centrally located bathhouses with toilet, shower and sink and a hose for potable water. We have firewood for sale for $20 per stay and is an extra option when booking(use what you need during your stay and it is centrally located near bath houses) you can bring your own and you are welcome to gather from the surrounding area but please do not cut down any living trees/limbs. There is a centrally located community building with a Wifi hotspot, streaming TV, Keurig, microwave, fridge/freezer, toaster/air fryer, swing set, foosball table and darts.

What a wonderful experience! My wife and I stayed in Eastern Kentucky for a whole week for the Fourth of July weekend. Beautiful area, tons of things to do in nature, and the campground was very private and quaint. Jamie and his family are wonderful people and I would definitely recommend staying here.

The campground was quiet. There were a lot of chickens and roosters running around. You could hear them crowing in the mornings. There were a lot of birds because they have well used bird houses everywhere. You can watch goldfinches and barn swallows of plenty that you could watch fly in and out. There were owls that you could hear at night. An eagle flies up and down the river occasionally. There are also quite a few deer that wonder in. There is a waterfall in walking distance if you don’t mind a slight hike. Rabbits were rather plentiful too. There is plenty of room to walk around. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately we didn’t get to go canoeing due to all the flooding around Kentucky right now. It was nice to watch the river moving though. The down side, in a way, was the lights. They have security lights that are pretty bright but as long as you block all the windows at night (close all curtains) it is nice. It sounds amazing at night! The light, as I said is very bright. It was very quiet too and we were there from Sunday to the following Sunday. No loud parties and whatnot. There is some junk and whatnot sitting around but it isn’t distracting. It’s also not where you would trip over it so to speak and not near the water. The hosts were incredibly nice and helpful. We were able to sit and talk with them in the shelter. There is plenty of room to explore and for any kids to play. There is some things for kids to play on and disc golf baskets.

We had a great camping trip at Patrick’s. Staff were fun to talk too and get ideas about local attractions. Bathrooms and showers were always clean and had warm water. Our family chose a primitive camping site near the river and enjoyed privacy and quiet. Two of the days we were there had rain and we were able to hang out and dry out a bit under the main barn. Would definitely recommend the location as long as no doubt exists about ability to attend. Grandparents weren’t able to attend as per medical reasons and received no refund as per the policy.

My family loved the campground, everything is well laid out and a lot of care has been taken with the structures and campsites. All sites are well spaced apart. The playground is really neat and bathroom facilities were very clean. There have been campers that haven't been respectful to the property so be careful of broken glass around some rv sites. Bring bug spray!

I loved camping at Patrick’s Point. It was very secluded and right on the river. The WiFi and restrooms were such a nice addition. Be very careful if you have dogs though, they do have free range chickens that go everywhere on the campground.

You will be pleasantly surprised if you stay at Patrick's River point. The site on the Cumberland River is beautiful in itself and very well maintained. All the amenities are great, water, electric, bathrooms with showers, fire rings...with luck you may get some fresh eggs one morning compliments of the free range chickens . I plan on return trips for R&R with these gracious hosts!

This was our first time using hipcamp and it went so well that we can’t wait for our next trip. Patrick met us as we arrived and showed us to our spot for the night. It was so peaceful and gorgeous. The bath house, with private showers, was clean and it had nice, hot water. We loved all the sounds and sights of nature as we relaxed. We would highly recommend this location to any of our friends and family and hope to revisit again one day!

3 nights at Farm and Forest

Hubby and I camped with our pull behind in the full hookup pull through. This place is peaceful, felt like being away from the crowds, but only 2 miles from town. There are only 6 campsites, and We were the only ones here our 3 night stay, and had this place all to ourselves. Jennifer, our host was always responsive, gave excellent directions into their location. Highly recommended if you are camping in the Lexington, Kentucky area.

Weekend Trip to Serenity Camp

Overall, we had a great stay at Cedar Springs at Serenity Camp. The surrounding farmland was beautiful and made for a really scenic setting. I was a bit surprised by how close the site was to the highway, so it wasn’t quite as peaceful and private as I personally prefer. We had a few minor setup issues, but the owner was helpful, came out to assist us, and got everything worked out. Despite that, I would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Farm and Forest

It was very peaceful on Jennifer’s land and having the full hookups was fantastic!!! We were visiting family, it was a perfect location for us. Jennifer was great with all information for us. Because of the rain, we never got to meet her. Maybe next time 😉

4 nights at Patrick's Point River Camp

This place is my new favorite campground! Both Patrick and Angelica are very hospitable and even let us set up camp closer to the river than the site we'd originally booked! The campground is well maintained, but still gives the 'untouched natural beauty' vibe we were looking for. The night skies are just GORGEOUS and I truly cannot say enough nice things about our hosts. We opted for a costa rican breakfast the morning of our departure and I've got a new favorite snack(cinnamon sugar fried plantains!) This campground is close to national parks and plenty of outdoor activities- we're going to have to come back and explore more, because 4 days was not nearly long enough!
