Park your rig by cliffs, canyons, and waterfalls in the Red River Gorge.
Stretching along the Wild and Scenic Red River, the Red River Gorge is a natural wilderness made for rock climbers and outdoor adventurers. Jagged cliffs tower over sweeping canyons, natural sandstone arches and bridges provide spectacular lookouts, and rocky ravines serve as a dramatic backdrop for hiking, canoeing, and zip-lining adventures. RV campers have a choice of campgrounds in and around the gorge, whether you want to hike past geological wonders in Natural Bridge State Park, swim at Creation Falls, or take in the views along the Red River Gorge Scenic Byway. Camping is possible year-round in the Red River Gorge and the surrounding Daniel Boone National Forest, but spring and fall provide the best weather for outdoor activities. Expect crowds in October, which is peak season for rock climbers and leaf-peepers, or cool off in summer by parking your rig at Cave Run Lake.
