The experience was not what I expected walking into it. The camping was a bit of a free for all feel with non dedicated sites in a very small field. Watch out for the bathrooms! They are in need of some major repairs but functional.

Outside of the trash in many of the firepits and the bathrooms that are in building that looks a little rickety, this is a nice, quiet campground that is very close to the popular climbing in the area. If your looking for a place away from the crowds this is a good spot

We loved the tree covered camp site. Wonderful shade, with good air flow for a primitive site. Benjamin was friendly was friendly and helpful.
Benjamin was very very kind and we felt comfortable and safe here!
Beautiful place to stay, with plenty of room and privacy.

Very welcoming and feel like you are home!
Very comfortable and felt cared for.
I’m a traveling wife with my husband working and I felt very comfortable here.
Located in a remote and tranquil setting, the property offers a peaceful and secluded environment. Benjamin demonstrated exceptional friendliness and hospitality throughout the experience.

My family loved the campground, everything is well laid out and a lot of care has been taken with the structures and campsites. All sites are well spaced apart. The playground is really neat and bathroom facilities were very clean. There have been campers that haven't been respectful to the property so be careful of broken glass around some rv sites. Bring bug spray!

I absolutely enjoyed my stay here! Ben was a wonderful host and definitely exceeded my expectations. He was extremely kind and socialized with my mom and I quite a bit. The cabin was also super cute and comfy. The property in its entirety was incredible. So much hard work and ALL built by Ben himself. I would highly recommend this Boone Valley Campground to anyone passing through!

For one night it was quick and easy. In and out no fuss. We chose our own campsite in the primitive section of the campground. Travis was very helpful and kind.

Benjamin is the most welcoming host I have met also full of good information This is my 7th host All my hosts had high ratings
Has separated areas for RV trailers with hook ups group camping and tents. Flush clean toilets for all with hot showers It is a quiet campground
Lots of activities in area but must drive about 15 miles or less from campground in all directions Breakfast lunch 2 miles eat outside or take to go Lunch dinner lots of options 4-15 miles May. No water in the Gorge

Host super friendly and informative. He has something for everyone.Trailer and RV spots level with hook ups Very clean shower and flush toilets building open area tenting and playground plus a cabin you can rent. And No facilities tenting. I tented with my dog and we were both very happy

the location was great, and the bathrooms did indeed have hot water. the main host, Ben, seems like a generally good guy. However, his brother(?) allegedly displayed predatory behaviors towards a woman camping alone. Also, the "bathhouse" is quite poorly constructed, and seems like it's actively falling apart. it has exposed drywall right next to the showers and is definitely going to rot within the next 5 years. also, one of the toilets was clogged for the majority of a week-long visit so I had to buy a plunger and fix it myself. overall, I think it was a survivable experience, but I definitely would consider looking elsewhere in the future
Pictures made this place look cozy and fun. Description makes it sound like there is a decent bath house there. Map provided was inaccurate, could find help when we arrived to show us where we reserved. Place looks like it was great several years ago and has been let down. Several broken down RVs in RV park area. Only one bathroom and shower for entire place and it’s attached to some guys tiny house like place. Wasn’t very clean either, we found another place for the next night and didn’t go back
Our group included a set of grandparents and a family of 4 with two toddlers. This was a private campground in a quiet area. Some campsites had electrical outlets that were not compatible with our setup, but we located ones that were. There was a play area for the kids with a bit of play equipment suitable for different age groups, and a horseshoe pit. The resident dogs were friendly and visited our sites each morning. The owner was friendly and helpful and made sure we were settled in and had what we needed. If you are looking for a quiet out-of-the-way campsite, not too many frills but all you need for a fun camping experience, as opposed to more modern, bustling camping experience, then this quaint campground is for you!

Great experience camping here for the first time . We arrived and greated upon arrival the man showed us the spots available and let us choose whichever we liked . The sites are nice and spacious with a fire pit set up . Had a great experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a camping location. Gas stations and food spots are also near by .

Very quite and convenient to the local town. Bathroom could use a mirror, chair or bench for changing clothes and a hook for your towel

We needed a place to stay while in transit to Chattanooga. We enjoyed hiking around to see some arches and decided to stay at the Boone valley primitive campsite. We had a great time the bathrooms were nice would reccomened a bench and place to put cloths. But other than that it was great.

Everything overall was perfect, got there super early set are tent up then the next morning moved to one of the more private spots with a table and chairs, my gfs car got stuck in mud and the man came and towed her out and then just went about his day, overall was very nice good area, the small town and tourist areas around the site was a very nice change of scenery 10/10 would recommend for anyone especially for the price
Benjamin was extremely accommodating and helpful. Would absolutely stay again when we visit the Red River Gorge!
Me and my friends had such a great time! We found some local trails during the day to hike and slept peacefully in our campsite. Wood can be picked up or delivered right to your site. Land is beautiful and they have some brand new restrooms with showers that made the whole trip so comfortable. One thing I will definitely bring next time is some toilet paper, as that went fast.
Great place to stay and very peaceful and would definitely come back. Not very bust felt like it was just us vs the world out there.
