The property is wonderful! We caught blue gill and bass in the pond and got to enjoy a campfire at night. The beds are very comfortable. There is no microwave just so you know, but there is a coffee pot in the cabinet just bring your own coffee. Otherwise the kitchen is nice and also the outdoor grill. We thoroughly enjoyed our little stay!

This was our second time staying at the exquisite Harrican Lakehouse and it was just as magical as the first! The setting is picture-perfect, private, serene, and tranquil.
What makes this place truly special is how incredible it is for the entire family—our group ranged from 2 years old to 75 years old, and everyone (including our pup!!) had the absolute best time. Our days were filled with fishing, kayaking, and swimming, starting with peaceful morning coffee on the porch and ending around the glow of the firepit telling stories.
Bridgett and Aaron have an amazing eye for detail and comfort. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, and there is just so much more that makes this place feel like home. Bridgett and Aaron are welcoming, highly communicative, and incredibly helpful. We will most certainly be back for a third time!!!

Beautiful ( my dream) property and peaceful setting!
Bridgett is very kind and attentive to guests needs and there are little touches added to the space that prove this as well. Loved the night songs from the various wildlife species that call it home!!!
would definitely stay here again! I will be booking the lake house next sometime in the near future for me and the family :)

I can't say enough about this wonderful experience! Upon arrival, the host, Brigitte, greeted us with her sweet dogs! She was so pleasant and welcoming!
The house itself sits on its own little pond/lake which has kayaks/canoes for use. At night the bullfogs were the most peaceful sound!
We enjoyed exploring the grounds and the tranquility of the setting.
The beds were comfortable and the house nice and tidy.
I would highly recommend this spot!

Absolutely amazing little lake house! It was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The home was cozy, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The host was incredibly helpful, kind, and responsive throughout our visit. We truly enjoyed our time here and would definitely return in the future!
A helpful tip for future guests: the lake house is about 30 minutes away from the nearest stores, so it’s a good idea to plan ahead and bring any essentials you may need. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a great getaway!

If you are looking for seclusion and off the grid without interruptions. This is your place. I would say they have dogs that greet you at the entrance and chase your car. So if you have a very reactive dog like we do it wasn't a good experience. Once you get past that it's awesome. I would say it comfortably sleeps five people.

We loved our stay at the Harrican lakehouse. It is so secluded and quiet making it a great place to unplug and unwind. It rained most of the weekend but we didn’t care, the large covered porch kept us dry and was the perfect spot to relax and watch our dog play in the lake.
My advice about the property: it is remote so pack in all the food you need. A trip to town will be take a while. The house does have steep stairs that lead to the bedrooms and the only bathroom in the house. We didn’t have any issues with it, but it could be an issue for those with limited mobility. Overall, this is a great, unique place to spend a weekend (or longer) if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet place to relax and unwind. I would highly recommend.

Bridgett was a very helpful and superb host. The land and pond were beautiful. Had fun catching several bluegills and a few bass and releasing. This is the most peaceful cabin we've been to.

We loved this place! Enjoyed watching and listening to all the wildlife - birds, dragonflies, newts, and bullfrogs. We also enjoyed walking down to the river. We’re already thinking about when we can visit again!

Such a charming, magical place . If you desire to get away from it all this is the ticket. Sweet spring feed lake , bird song , bull frogs and bright stars by a campfire. Heaven

We had an absolutely wonderful time here! This place far exceeded our expectations, and the photos simply can't capture its true charm. You really need to see it for yourself. It’s a true love nest. If you're seeking a space that combines simplicity with elegance—where you and your loved one can feel secure and secluded—this is it. The only thing I’d suggest is adding Wi-Fi, as there's no cell service here.

The Harrican Lake House was the perfect weekend getaway for our family. It was a very peaceful and beautiful setting. We fished and hiked during the day and hung out at the fire pit at night. The house was clean and had everything we needed.

Here are are the plus : if you are a normal Hipcamper you will know that some glamping options are better than others. This is one of the good ones! There were little items that helped smooth our trip over Expecally with 4 kids! Pots, pans, seasonings, etc.
Multiple cooking options from griddle, stove & fire pit!
Now here are the things to look for, gps cuts off halfway down the road but Bridget was able to help us navigate to the property. Few outlets to bring a surge protector (we did)
If you have kids, entertainment lol.
And if you’re worried about temp, the heat was KICKING. lol but we had a great time and loved the area. Will be back!

We loved our trip here! It was private, peaceful, beautiful.. the perfect chance to unwind. The property was well taken care of, our kids loved it, me and my husband had a wonderful time just sitting on the porch at the end of night.. you won't regret staying here! If you have very little ones, a baby gate for the steep stairs and a pac n play or pop up pen for the porch would be ideal. But all in all, a perfect family trip

I loved staying at the lake house. It absolutely exceeded our expectations. The cabin was clean and cozy. We enjoyed fishing all day, exploring the woods, and grilling dinner right on the deck! I was sad to leave. We will definitely be back.

Peaceful slice of heaven in the bluegrass! Bridgett is very welcoming. Once you are checked in, you will feel like you are in your own world. It’s so relaxing and tranquil being right on the water. The wrap around porch gives the perfect place to sit and enjoy sunrises and sunsets!
Perfect place for a couple or family to get away and make memories.

We spent a women’s weekend at this lovely lake home in January, and it was such a restorative experience—even with the rain! The house is beautiful, with a thoughtful and welcoming use of space that made it easy for all of us to spread out. Brittney truly has the art of hospitality, and it shows in every detail of the home.
Although it rained most of the weekend, we still spent time outdoors under the porch, mesmerized by the raindrops falling on the lake—a simple but magical experience. The beds were comfortable, making for cozy nights in.
A few suggestions for future guests: bring paper towels, dish soap, a pillow and snuggle blanket for winter, a sponge for the sink, extra toilet paper (especially for three women!), and an open mind for time away. Two of our three phones worked but not consistently, so plan accordingly.
Overall, this is a serene and welcoming home perfect for a getaway with friends. We will be back.

We absolutely loved our stay at Bridgett’s Harrican Lakehouse! The property is exactly as described and the photos are completely accurate. Our family stayed from late December to early January and the cooler weather didn’t stop us from enjoying kayaking, canoeing, hiking, relaxing on the porch, and so much more. We can’t wait to return when the weather is warmer, so we can add swimming and fishing to our list of activities :-)
Bridgett was incredibly kind and communicated regularly before and throughout our stay. I HIGHLY recommend The Harrican Lakehouse and we will definitely be coming back!
