The Kilns 4
First time HipCamper and we loved staying at the Kilns! Kimberly was so nice and met us when we arrived. Beautiful place to camp and if/when we come back to the Gorge will certainly want to stay here again. I think my dog would rate it a 11 out of 10! She had the time of her life. The frogs serenaded us to sleep each night next to the pond.

Frogs!
My 4 boys and I spent a magical night here. The boys discovered the pond was filled with frogs, newts, salamanders, and giant water bugs! Once the sun set, the frogs started singing.
It was deafening. Not much sleeping that night, but we still had a great experience.
Kim is a great host. We definitely hope to come back!

One of my best hipcamp experiences yet! The property was beautiful and everyone was so hospitable. I can't wait to go back.

The Kilns
Camping with Kim!!! Incredible
This camping spot is awesome for a number of reasons. If you’re looking to visit Red River Gorge, this site is great as it only took us 10 minutes to get to the lodge. You have all the space you can need for camping. Chairs, fire pit, toilet access, water, wood, and Wi-Fi all at the campsite for your use. The RRG campsites were packed so close together, so we quickly appreciated the privacy that the Kilns offered where we could set up camp in a beautiful site, but also a SAFE site. Lastly, Kim is fantastic and so responsive. She had our fire going when we arrived, gave us tons of local restaurant info, but also would do anything for us if something was needed. Not only that, but she was kind enough to let us go hike the Natural Bridge and keep our camping gear on her property until we got done hiking. Not having to pack up a wet tent and load the car at 8:00AM is a blessing when you’re trying to beat the breakfast and hiking crowds.
Check their Facebook page too! They offer live music performances throughout the year on a large stage. We hope to come back for one of those nights and camp afterwards! Thank you Kim for letting us stay!
