Located 1 mile from the Red River Gorge in Pine Ridge KY between Mt. Parkway Exit 40 East and Exit 40 West and 8 miles to Natural Bridge State Park. The Kilns provides an area for rest and relaxation for those wanting to camp. while enjoying the outdoors. The KILNS got its name from large charcoal kilns that was a thriving family business in the late 50's early 60's. Although they are no longer in functioning, they are part of our history. The camping area is nestled on a small family farm with 5 acres designated for PRIMATIVE Tent or Van Camping. The property is surrounded by beautiful woodlands and a lush green field, freshly manicured. It is easy access to Red River Gorge, Local Restaurants, General Stores all while secluded from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Come relax and enjoy, we look forward to seeing you! Our stay at the Kilns was perfect. Great, quiet property proved perfect for us while passing through Kentucky. Although it made us want to stay at least one more day. Our host Kim was terrific and extremely accommodating. Free wood for our camp fire and pet friendly for our service dog. Highly recommended and would stay again!

We had a great time camping on Kim's land. She was very accommodating, and the site was very spacious. Plenty of firewood too!

I loved tent camping on Kim's land. Her and her husband were very good hosts and we really enjoyed our stay! Having our dog off leash and able to enjoy sniffing around our campground was a major plus! We will definitely be back and I totally recommend The Kilns for a very homey experience!

Unending Hospitality
Incredibly gracious hosts, a tidy campsite, and a convenient location. With Kim’s help getting connected to the local area and Scott’s assistance settling in, the Kilns have everything I was hoping for. I can guaranteed I’ll be back again for another visit.

Quick stay at The Kilns
We had a great stay at The Kilns! The location was great for going rock climbing and getting to restaurants. It was easy to find and the owners were very kind and helpful. Lots of firewood and easy access to water and port-o-potty.

A great getaway at RRG.
We absolutely enjoyed staying here. There was a storm coming in but there was a large deck/stage my wife and I watched it from. We usean RTT on our jeep and most if the land is a hill. We did find flat land near the deck. You can hear some road noise from mountain parkway, but it isn't that loud. Kimberly was a great host, meeting us and giving us the lay out with local eatery information. Our dog ran off leash most of the time, there was another camper we saw with a dog but we had very little interaction. We will definitely look here before booking anywhere else for our next hiking trip.
