This was our very first experience with hipcamp and it was a fantastic one. Cristhian and Christy had everything perfectly set up and provided all you need for a great peaceful camping trip.... Well as peaceful as you can get with 3 boys and 3 good lol😜. Would definitely recommend and will definitely come back if ever in the area. Thank you again for a great experience.

Savvy's Retreat was a fantastic campsite! It's well thought-out by campers for campers. The half bath was super handy when cooking outside and would be great if you had people visiting. There were plenty of outlets and lights in the shelter. Both the shelter and trees provided plenty of summer shade. The dog run was great to have, and they even had 3 tie-outs available! We travel with 3 larger dogs that like to bark at people, so crowded campgrounds are stressful for all of us. This setup allowed us all to relax outside together. Christian and Christy were on top of communication. This was truly a pleasant and well-thought-out space

We loved the set up! Had water, electric, sewer and bathroom. Plus many extras, large fire pit and swing, card and board games plus in a very quiet rural area. It was close to Berea, Kentucky to hike The Pinnacles, Indian Fort Trail to Eagles Nest and Buzzard Landing with breath taking views when you get to the top. Grab a pizza at Apollo Pizza in Berea. Very tasty. Flat Lick Falls near McKee was constantly flowing. Pretty water hole that’s clear with some swimmers. Easy site to pull out and leave. The owners are attentive with any questions and maintain their cool with care. We will definitely be back

We had an incredible one-week stay here and could not have picked a better place. This site has everything you need and more, and the hosts were always available and quick to respond to any messages. We rarely saw anyone but did get a chance to meet a few neighbors who were so very nice to chat with! We hope to return here soon!

We pulled our A-liner tailer in just before dusk, after a long day of driving. We had no trouble getting hooked up to the power. We slowly but surely got oriented to the switches, lights, and bathroom comforts. We would have come back again on our way back to Minnesota from NC but you were booked.

This site was such a treat! The covered spot was very spacious and the bathroom was very clean. They trully though of everything. There was two hammocks, a swing, a line with two dog chains attatched, and even some board games to play. We will certainly stat at thos area again in the future!

We selected Cozy Camp as our first trip of the season - to get some much needed rest with all the comforts of home. The covered structure was a plus, having sewer is always an added bonus along with the extra bathroom! But the best thing about it all was the quiet, beautiful scenery! The trip was relaxing and out dogs loved the dog run!! We will definitely be back!!

Never saw a car or person the entire stay but felt very safe in the area. Access to the clean bathroom was wonderful as well. The hammocks were a great touch!

Very unique spot. Every possible comfort you could ask for while having a large space all to yourself. Hosts were helpful and recommended a great local restaurant (Mammo D's). Very quiet single-lane road with few houses along the way. Good dog walking road. Definitely recommend Savvy's Retreat.

Beautiful property! My husband and I brought our two dogs for a peaceful weekend in our travel trailer. The location had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed several hiking trails in the area, grilled delicious meals under the large shelter, and relaxed by the fire with a perfect view of the stars. This location exceeded our expectations and the onsite bathroom was a bonus! We highly recommend this spot and will be back next fall!

My 5 nights here were awesome! It's out in the woods on a curvy mountain road on the side of a hill with a level packed gravel site under a cover. The dead end road to it is 1 lane with few neighbors and is very peaceful. The covered site and the half bath were great. Absolutely the best Hipcamp out of the 7 I have stayed at for sure. Squirrels barking in the trees, and hoot owls at night, and a great firepit with wood......a great place to chill out and unwind! I will definitely be back next Spring with my Harley to ride the awesome twisty, curvy mountain roads in the area! I hiked Turkey Foot, West and East Pinnacle trails and Flat Rock trail. It's 20 minutes to Berea with many places to shop and eat.

I just got back from a 3 night stay at Savys Retreat and I’m already planning my next trip. It’s in a beautiful part of Kentucky, especially in the fall. The property sits down a dead end road, single lane but well maintained, and it’s one of the last places out there so it’s quiet, private, and peaceful.
Everything about the site is well thought out and taken care of. You can tell the owners take pride in it. The setup felt more like an RV resort than a campsite, plenty of space, clean, and everything you could need. I spent my evenings sitting by the fire watching the sunset, then stayed out until the stars came out. Hard to beat that.
The hosts were quick to respond, friendly, and made sure everything was just right.
If you’re looking for a relaxing, private spot to unwind, this is it.

We just took our little renovated camper out for the very first time, and this spot could not have been more perfect. What a magical place! It was private, spacious, and such a wonderful fit for myself, my husband, and our two-year-old. The bathroom with a toilet and sink was such a welcome addition—such a convenience that made things so much easier.
We loved having a fire, slowing down, and just enjoying the quiet. It was incredibly peaceful—you couldn’t hear cars or any outside noise, just the stillness of nature. Exactly what we were hoping for. Truly the perfect getaway.

This camp site is well laid out, so private, and peaceful. We hadn't camped in a long time and wanted to be some place we could take our dog and just be away from the noise. This was it. Clean, well taken care of, and even though it's a bit off the beaten path, it's still not too far from Berea if you want to shop or go hiking. There's so much space you don't feel closed in. Rare thing at a campsite. The last few miles of the drive are narrow and winding so be prepared for that.

Savvy's retreat was the absolute best thing about our Summer! Beautiful getaway with my hubby, dog and RV loving cat. Cristhian and Christy have thought of everything! Electric and water hookup, hammocks to chill in, amazing fire pit. Savvy's has it all for a relaxing, fun time! Definitely on the "go back there" list! :)

We stayed in our travel trailer and loved this peaceful, private spot! The pavilion was perfect for parking and relaxing, with great extras like a fire pit, hammocks, and a clean bathroom. Super pet-friendly and close to great trails and waterfalls. A perfect place to unwind.

Savvy Retreat is absolutely awesome. Especially if you are searching for peace and solitude. It’s a single campsite in the middle of nowhere designed for maximizing “getting away from everything”. If that is what you’re searching for then Savvy Retreat is a must. If you’re looking for activities close by, search elsewhere. If you’re looking for socialization, search elsewhere. This is a retreat for you away from all things crazy in your life.
There are lights under the shelter for nighttime “whatever”. There are games. There is a fabulous bathroom (no shower) so that you don’t have to use the tiny bathroom in your rv. Horseshoes…check. Pet lines for 3 pets…check. Fire pit and fire wood…check. Picnic table…check. Places to hang lights…check. Flat drive thru….check. Easy pull around driveway…check. Swings and hammock…check.
Savvy Retreat is for solitude. Peace away from mayhem. Full hookups for ease.
Need space? Need no one around you? Need no family activities (all about 1.5 hours away) then schedule Savvy Retreat now. You’ll love it. We did. It recharged our life batteries perfectly. T & K

This is, by far, the nicest campsite (Hipcamp or otherwise) I have ever been to, and I've been camping since childhood. The host's attention to detail in the beauty and amenties of the site are obvious. One word of caution, do not use Waze for GPS to the site, or you will get very, very heckin lost down dead-end dirt roads (not fun). Use the host's directions to supplement Google for GPS. Google will at least get you on the correct roads where you can then follow both the host's directions and signs to this beautiful site.

Our second stay at this wonderful spot! We will definitely be back. Full hook up, available firewood, excellent WI-FI, a toilet so you don't have to in the camper. Secluded to the point you almost feel like you're the only one around. An excellent pull though site.

We stayed an entire week at Savvy’s and it was absolutely perfect. The entire property was SO clean and well kept. Cristhian and Christy thought of everything! From the spotless bathroom, to the board games and lawn games, the picnic table, beautiful firepit and most of all the porch swing! We spent hours swinging! The biggest bonus was the shelter that we were able to park our camper and truck under. It’s very large, and it is elevated, so it allowed us to be outside during every rainstorm! We would absolutely recommend Savvy’s, and we plan to come back.
Also, we found two amazing waterfalls less than half an hour away. Both are worth the hike!
