Because we are conveniently located in the greater Louisville metropolitan area, please know there is a nearby train track that comes by a few times a day, but you get use to it, and we are only 8 miles from the Louisville International airport, but there is no freeway noise which can be very loud. We do not have bath or shower houses, or a pool, but we do have laundry facilities on site. There are showers within 2 miles at the Pilot gas station on I-65. We strive to offer excellent customer service, so please feel free to call if you have any issues! We have an on-site Assistant Manager. We are a BOATERS delight as every site comes with an "optional" private slip for your boat for your entire vacation!!! We also offer 30/50 amp hookup with full water and sewer hookups. Starlink WiFi also provided. The resort also has a additional showers in the pool house. Campers are allowed to use our communal unground swimming pool, arcade, tennis/pickleball court, fire-it, picnic shelter, on-site laundry facility as well. Motorized tram to take you and your belongings up and down the hill to the dock. We also offer pontoon rentals on site as well as kayak rentals.

1 night at Red River Gorge Glamping & Cabins

This was my first glamping experience and I simply loved it! The yurts looked more magical on site and we had a cozy bonfire and toasted marshmallows by the fire. Me and my friends are glad we chickened out of camping and did glamping instead because it provided us more comfort and coziness than camping. We woke up to horses running around near the area and had another fire. Totally worth the trip!

We only used the site for 1 night, whilst on a roadtrip and we did very much enjoyed our stay. Showers and toilet are very clean and luxurious. Would very much recommend.

1 night at Overlook Farm Camping

What a great place! Doesn’t show its glory until you go around the barn to park/hook up, then wow! Rolling hills. Horses. Pounds with ducks. Beautiful. Best sunrise in a long time. AND: Driving up -go slow and take the third gate just like she says. Do NOT go too far -it is a long, winding, hilly, narrow road to get back (took an hour in the dark, dark, dark night). So glad we found this place!

I had a great experience. I stayed at Holmes Hideaway site and it was beautiful - on the river with seclusion, fire pits, and plenty of tree cover. I went in mid-november and it was not crowded. Everything done through the app and I was left alone. It was a fun weekend.

Clean quiet and family friendly. Open areas and the river await adventure by all ages. Roving herd of sheep goats, donkey and mini horse add to the whimsy. Steve and his son Bradley are excellent hosts and I will return.

Super nice quiet spot! It was my wife, dogs, and I. It was very nice to not have neighbors like at a normal campground. If our in-laws had a rv it would be nice to use both of the sites together. Owner is also very friendly. We’ve stayed here twice visiting Lake Cumberland

Weekend Trip to Savvy Retreat

Beautiful property! My husband and I brought our two dogs for a peaceful weekend in our travel trailer. The location had everything we needed and more. We enjoyed several hiking trails in the area, grilled delicious meals under the large shelter, and relaxed by the fire with a perfect view of the stars. This location exceeded our expectations and the onsite bathroom was a bonus! We highly recommend this spot and will be back next fall!

3 nights at Savvy Retreat

I just got back from a 3 night stay at Savys Retreat and I’m already planning my next trip. It’s in a beautiful part of Kentucky, especially in the fall. The property sits down a dead end road, single lane but well maintained, and it’s one of the last places out there so it’s quiet, private, and peaceful. Everything about the site is well thought out and taken care of. You can tell the owners take pride in it. The setup felt more like an RV resort than a campsite, plenty of space, clean, and everything you could need. I spent my evenings sitting by the fire watching the sunset, then stayed out until the stars came out. Hard to beat that. The hosts were quick to respond, friendly, and made sure everything was just right. If you’re looking for a relaxing, private spot to unwind, this is it.

We loved staying at Dave’s land. The RV site had everything we needed for our stay. We arrived in our class A Winnebago 25’. Campers should be aware the roads leading to the campground are narrow, winding, steep and not well marked. The stone drive way into the camp is narrow, steep (downhill) and bumpy. Other than these few shortfalls, we had a good experience for your days. Thanks go to the owners for keeping the campgrounds clean, well laid out, and private.

Weekend Trip to Red River Gorge Glamping & Cabins

I absolutely adored our yurt stay in the Gorge. The property is perfect, the yurt is spacious, has electricity, a small fridge, space heater if needed, a very comfy bed, and cute outdoor lights. The bathhouse is wonderful with a hot shower and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. There are toilets on the end of each side of the bath house. There is one campfire for the whole yurt village which I loved! It gave us a real community feel and we got to know 6 other friends around the fire one night. There is cornhole, dart board and horseshoes as well. It would be helpful to know that the parking lot that you are supposed to use can only be accessed by the "road" to the right that doesn't look like a road after you turn off the main one. The other road takes you to the property as well and some of us parked there as well since all of our cars wouldn't have fit in the other lot. You will love this sweet place! I am inspired to buy some property and make my own yurt village now.
