The Appalachian Overland Triangle - 199 acres of pure Appalachian ridge and holler, with room to spread out and actually feel it. Over 100 primitive sites mean you're not stacked on top of the next tent. Pick your spot on the ridgeline, down by the water, or tucked into the trees, and settle in. No hookups, no Wi-Fi, just fire, sky, and a view from the overlook that makes the climb worth it every time. One barn, one pond, and everything you need to make a night of it. The property's lone building sits adjacent to an expansive pond with generator power keeping the lights on, and for campers power needs. Throw something on the BBQ, post up at the pond, watch the sun drop over the property from a spot that actually has a view. Portajohns are on site so the basics are covered. The rest is yours to build. Part of the Backroads of Appalachia, this ground doubles as a motorsports hub. It's the finish line for the Boone Forest Rally, hosts regular rallycross events, and draws ADV/ATV/UTV riders who climb the overlook for the view. Expect engine noise on event weekends and quiet, empty acreage the rest of the time.Space, access, and how the day actually unfolds: You've got 199 acres to work with, and the rule is simple: it's yours to choose. Pick a primitive site in total solitude on the far ridge, or pull in next to your buddy's rig and make a little village out of it. Anywhere in the fenceline is fine. The pond is fishable and sits right by the barn if you want water access without wandering far, and a network of roads through the property and runs alongside some genuinely beautiful creek country if you're looking to explore on foot, bike, or four wheels. Amenities (generator, the barn, the BBQ, the portajohns) are centrally located near the pond, so wherever you camp, you're never more than a short walk or short drive from the basics. Activities, the overlook trail, branch out from there. Set up where it feels right, then go find your day.
