Camp Saguaro is nestled in a unique and rural area on the west side of Tucson, Arizona. With the Saguaro National Park Visitor Center, Tucson Mountain Park, and Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum all within four miles, there is plenty of opportunity to explore the outdoors. Tucson Mountain Park and Saguaro National Park boast hundreds of miles of hiking trails, and non-motorized mountain bikes are permitted on the trails in Tucson Mountain Park. Let us be your base camp for desert exploration whether it's hiking, riding, birdwatching, and learning. Come to Camp Saguaro and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the desert. What to expect: We are in a rural neighborhood where most parcels are 1-3 acres, we have seven acres. It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote. Camp Saguaro is tobacco-free. This hipcamp was absolutely stunning. The owners have put an incredible amount of thought into the layout of the property, how it has been constructed, and the general aesthetic. The camping spot we stayed in felt nestled away and private. The flushing toilets and HOT showers were a treat after months of boondocking. The drove into Saguaro West took all of 5 minutes. And because it was slow we were able to get a tour of their magical mushroom building and Adobe home they also rent out for campers. 10/10 would recommend. We booked for one night and stayed for three, and would absolutely come back.

Just what we needed!😃
This is an excellent place to park our off-grid Suburban “camper”. It has all the amenities one needs- toilet, shower (with unlimited hot water), a kitchen wash station with an amazing community patio. It is very clean and cozy! We got a tour of the Magical Mushroom and The Adobe, they would be fun lodging experiences. This place was close to the trails we wanted to ride in the Tucson Mountain Park. Thankfully it was rural enough we could see the starry night sky. These ladies have done an exceptional job creating an amazing HipCamp facility! Thank you!! We will stay again when we visit Tucson!!

Artistic camp
Our family had two spots and stayed five nights. We loved the creative artwork around Camp Saguaro . This camp would be perfect for a family reunion because they also have places to stay if you do not camp. We will come again! The location was perfect for visiting the west entrance of saguaro national park.

Beautiful sunsets
Camp Suguaro had wonderful showers, an outdoor kitchen sink and toilets that were super clean and beautifully built. Each site has some privacy among the desert flora and each night our hosts lit a campfire at sunset for their guests. We will definitely be back!
