Camp Saguaro is nestled in a unique and rural area on the west side of Tucson, Arizona. With the Saguaro National Park Visitor Center, Tucson Mountain Park, and Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum all within four miles, there is plenty of opportunity to explore the outdoors. Tucson Mountain Park and Saguaro National Park boast hundreds of miles of hiking trails, and non-motorized mountain bikes are permitted on the trails in Tucson Mountain Park. Let us be your base camp for desert exploration whether it's hiking, riding, birdwatching, and learning. Come to Camp Saguaro and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the desert. What to expect: We are in a rural neighborhood where most parcels are 1-3 acres, we have seven acres. It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote. Camp Saguaro is tobacco-free. Lovey Dovey
We enjoyed camping in our camper van in this site. There was a nice area for our kids to explore and we were super close to Saguaro National Park with great hikes as well as the Sonoran Desert Museum. The campground is in a neighborhood, but the area was quiet, and we felt we had privacy. Our kids enjoyed the lawn game and fire in the evening. Showers and bathrooms were fantastic.

Amazing campsite
An amazing campsite, I can really recommend it to everyone. They keep the grounds very tidy. The toilets & showers are super clean. It’s just outside the park, but in the middle of the nature, very quiet. You can reach the visitor center from the campsite within 7 minutes. There are a lot of nice hikes close-by. So definitely a place to go to!

Great sites. Ours was close to the bathrooms/showers yet still felt very private. Had some issues with the shower the first night but the owner responded quickly and resolved it. Would recommend! Only thing I would mention is that we had a hard time finding firewood for sale at the gas stations in the area so be sure to bring some.

Personal touches all over!
Every little detail is attended to. For example, there is a motion detector which will turn on the light for the dish washing station, and for the toilets. There’s a lovely community patio area with a great fire pit (made by Michelle who is quite the welder!) It was nice to have a common place to chat with other travelers around the fire. It’s obviously a labor of love! Lots of labor! Right now there are 8 spots and plans for a few more. So it’s intimate, friendly and each spot is well designed (and named!) Would highly recommend camping here!!

Highly recommend!
We loved staying on Michelle's property. It was a perfect 3 minute drive from Saguaro National Park. Directions were clear, sites were clean and had privacy from other sites. There's a cute area in the middle of the lot with a picnic table and fire. It was nice and peaceful. I would highly recommend staying here of you're planning on visiting Saguaro!
