First day of my campsite I start with 2 campsites then I built 1 more campsite. I then made fire pit an after that I built an outhouse its a restroom so of the guest don't know what an outhouse is we tell them it doesn't take no water to flush. After that I built a wooden fence around the whole campsite from horses a cows get into our property. So that how I started a campsite. Now our guests love our campsite a some of them came back an we have a short hiking trail to the rims to overlook the whole valleys its beautiful to take pictures from there.

The Campsite is 10-15 mins to the Valley View of the Famous Monuments and close to Navajo Tribal Park. Access to Restroom (Outhouse) within the site. Guest can request Navajo Taco Dinner with Navajo Tea for extra cost to enlighten their stay here in Beautiful Monument Valley. Guest can bring pets as well. We are pet friendly and have one well behaved dogs name spike and diamond. Also we rv size will be 25 ft long .. 30 ft. Long is going to button out on the cattle guard. We don't have hookup.

We are a family-owned RV park and tiny home village located 50 minutes from the east entrance to Grand Canyon National Park and only 20 minutes north of Flagstaff, Arizona. Our family -- Adam, Shelley, Zoe, Ava, and Cairo -- purchased the RV park in 2021. The property was a trading post for decades but had fallen into disrepair. We have been busy painting, cleaning and improving the grounds to become a comfortable oasis for your family. Our location on US Hwy 89 on the east side of the highway is only a few miles from the breathtaking aspens of Lockett Meadow, the ruins of Wupatki National Monument and the lava flows at Sunset Crater. The park is a short drive to downtown Flagstaff, and on the way to the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Lake Powell, Moab and Durango. Stay the night or as long as you like! Drink in the hibiscus sunrises above the Painted Desert and relax into the long shadows of the San Francisco Peaks. We have a cool shaded retreat for your picnic in the Park. It’s a wooded area in a narrow, steep-walled riparian canyon that was originally developed in 1935 by the Civilian Conservation Corps as part of their larger Park building initiative. Located below Colossal Cave, there are spots to accommodate large or small groups alike. The El Bosquecito and La Selvilla areas can entertain up to 72 and 96 people, respectively. The Cowboy Campground and Cowboy Ramada can also entertain up to 80 and 100 people. All have picnic tables, firepits and grills. Restrooms and water are also available at the group sites.
Didn’t bring your lunch? No problem. The Terrace Café has delicious grab-n-go Tucson specialties and other favorites, so pick your spot, relax, and listen for the birds to serenade your lunch.
If you’d like to spend more than just the day, why not camp here under the magnificent Sonoran skies? Campsites are tucked among the magnificent saguaro cacti and mesquite trees in Posta Quemada canyon, an area developed in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. These grounds consist of 4 large areas, El Bosquecito, La Selvilla, Cowboy Campground and Cowboy Ramada plus a number of smaller areas totaling 15 individual sites.
Camping Rates:
• Tent Camping: $15 per tent/night
• Group Site reservations: $150 per night (if you have more than 10 guests you are saving money compared to the individual rate!)
• RV, Car, and Horse Trailer Camping: $15 per vehicle/night
*Please note that Park entrance and exit gates LOCK at 4pm and reopen at 8am. For large groups, special accommodations may be available in regards to the opening/closing times.
*All sites need to be booked in person or over the phone. You can visit us at our Gift Shop at the top of the hill or call (520) 647-7275. Individual spots are first come first serve.
*All group sites can also accommodate individual campers at the base rate ($15) so long as there are no current reservations. Please check with the Cave first.

Hawks Hideaway offers 8 campsites suitable for tents of all sizes, many of which can accommodate two or more tents (additional fees may apply). We also have a large, unfurnished teepee, and are working on a cozy, furnished country cottage. (ETA Sept 25). Large trailers and RVs are NOT allowed.
Nearby activities include: bird watching, hiking, river rafting or tubing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, stargazing, and rockhounding. This area conforms to the Arizona Dark Sky initiative, and while we are not dark-sky certified, we've had several guests compliment us on our beautiful skys. When it comes to rockhounding, or amateur geology, this is a fantastic area for exploration and study.
We gladly welcome pets, as long as you take care of all their needs, including cleaning up any mess and filling in any holes. Well mannered, friendly dogs may be unleashed from time to time. Please, PLEASE watch your small pets carefully. If you're traveling with cats, please keep them on a lead.
There is a riding academy and boarding facility adjacent to our property, and a long pleasant trail allows horseback riders, hikers and cyclists to travel along the Verde Greenway into Old Town Cottonwood, a pleasant 30 minute walk through lush riparian area.
Hawks Hideaway is a family owned property, occupied by a 3rd and 4th generation, mother-son team. Two generations have lived and died here before us and we are proud to be the custodians of this majestic property, full of old growth, gigantic cottonwood trees. A birdwatcher, or naturalists dream.
Hawks Hideaway is a natural and secluded spot located directly adjacent to the state-maintained Verde River Greenway. This means you may encounter wildlife and pests associated with being in such close connection to nature.
Hawks Hideaway is next to many miles of wilderness. You may see or encounter wildlife of all kinds, most are harmless, some are dangerous. It is your responsibility to know the difference. Be prepared to tuck your food away and bring ample protection from the insects.
You are responsible for your own safety and are camping here at you own risk. Please do not interact with any wild animals. If you encounter something and need help, please reach out to us. We live on the property and are readily available.

At 6000ft elevation the air is much cleaner and the weather is much cooler, especially in the summer time! We have plenty of space. A well house to fill up your water. There are also outdoor bathrooms, no shower yet, but working on that! We're just a short seven minute drive to the dump station at a local gas station down the road on the Deuce of Clubs and Penrod. We are 14 minutes from a large hospital, 10 minutes from major grocery stores, shopping and restaurants, and many other fun activities. Our location is in a perfect spot to enjoy the blue sky and great weather. Sunrise Ski area is a quick drive too! Pinetop Lakeside are within 10 minutes, Taylor and Snowflake are within 15 to 25 minutes. We hope you visit and continue to keep our environment clean and a chill spot to visit. Disclaimer: I live in the northeast US, so Arizona generally looks like Mars to me. But Painted Desert was absolutely gorgeous! I had site 5, which had a great tucked away feeling with awesome views of the sunset and the San Francisco Peaks. 100% highly recommend. Just be prepared - the only resources provided are a pit toilet and a bundle of kindling.

Just finished three nights at Hawks Hideaway with a big group of six adults and four kids, toddler included, and it was a really great trip. Site #7 Riverwalk lived up to its name, the path down to the river was lovely and the kids spent a ton of time there. We even spotted some wild deer wandering around the property, which was a nice surprise.
Beautiful spot overall. Would definitely come back.

This place is outstanding, amazing facilities. Beautifully maintained park, great views at the south end of the park. 10/10 would stay here again! Bummed we only booked for one night
