The well stocked kitchen has all the cookware and utensils you'll need for cooking, a propane range, as well as a cooler for your use (bring ice). A gas barbecue is on site as well. The wood stove kicks out a ton of heat to keep you toasty while you sip on steamy hot chocolate that is provided for your enjoyment. Gather around the propane operated firepit in the backyard for some R&R. Bring a hammock 'cuz there are unlimited opportunities for stringing one up! Tons of activities will keep you occupied, including hiking and biking on the nearby Arizona Trail (just 1/2 mile away), or even sledding on your very own private 2 acre piece of paradise! What's even better is the property backs onto the National Forest, for unlimited enjoyment of nature. In the evening crack open a book, or start playing a game with your besties to close out a long day. The property is completely off the grid, making it very appealing to those travelers and adventurers who want to create a minimal carbon footprint on their vacation. The kitchen sink has a hand pump that draws water from under the sink from a 10 gallon water jug. You can refill the jug as needed from a hand pump located in the back yard. There is solar powered lighting and a USB phone charger station. There is no electrical power available. Cell service is available in the area depending on your carrier. The outdoor composting toilet is super clean with little or no odor. The cabin is located at 8200' in the San Francisco Peaks in the pines and aspens. Snowshoe or cross country ski, go sledding or snowmobiling, or just good old fashioned relaxation will make the time fly by. If that's not enough check this out:(a) it's just 5 miles to the Arizona Nordic Center for incredible cross country ski trails(b) it's just 18 miles to Snowbowl for chairlift rides or world class skiing(c) it's just 20 miles to the hip town of Flagstaff for fantastic restaurants, golfing, shopping, coffee shops and museums(d) it's just 60 miles to historic Williams with the Bearizona wildlife park and the popular Grand Canyon Railway(e) it's just 55 miles to the world famous Grand Canyon. Our weekend was exactly what we were hoping it would be, restful, quiet and so relaxing. Jason was/is an amazing host and always there to help answer questions to ensure the stay was what we hoped for. The area was beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed! Thank you, Jason!

Absolutely beautiful piece of country!! We loved our stay, especially Fred, the feline mayor of Shiloh Ranch. The place has the vibe of grandma's house, with a well-appointed kitchen and plenty of the basics along with lightning fast internet.

Sandee is an amazing host! She stopped by when I arrived to show me around the cabin. She was so warm and welcoming. The place had everything I could need, and then some! This would be a perfect place to bring my family. In the morning I took Sandee’s recommendation and drove through Petrified Forest and Painted Desert National Parks, which was an amazing experience after a very restful night at Shiloh Ranch.

7 nights at Verde River Vortex

We absolutely loved our stay at Red River Vortex! Everything about it was perfect. It was close to everything we wanted to do yet the cabin itself is somewhat remote so it's perfect for a relaxing experience. Jason was an amazing host. He suggested many incredible places to explore and was very knowledgeable about the area. We took up several of his suggestions and we were very happy that we did. I would highly recommend Jason's spot and we plan to return when we can.

4 nights at Camp Land Beyond Zion

We had an amazing time staying in Shanti's glamping tent. This is a very well thought out camp and I hope the new owners keep the vibe. The location is perfect, about 20 minutes from coral pink sand dunes. We appreciated the "super secret" back way to Zion. When you go, make sure you check out the ghost town of Grafton if you like history. We spent most of the day time out and about. Our evenings were quiet with just the right amount of other folks camping to make it interesting. The kitchens are very well stocked with pretty much everything you need. We didn't even need to break out our mess kits. There's pretty much no cell service, but the wifi is quick so you can research things to do the next day. Sliding down the sand dunes was the highlight of the trip for our 14 year old. The hot tub was perfect after a full day of adventuring. The only problem the entire trip was the wind. It's a bit unrelenting. Keep this in mind if you're planning on tent camping. In the glamp tent, it was no problem. My husband was even too hot under the warm blankets. I can't say enough about the view. The mountains in the area are spectacular. 10/10 for sure.

Gary and Daren have done a fabulous job converting their property into an oasis for travelers. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Sacred Springs and all the finishing touches they've added. They've really gone the extra mile to make it a special place. The hiking trails, paddleboards/beach, community room, outdoor shower, night light ambiance, private fire pit and all the sitting areas to be found around the property really add to the experience. Every area has been developed with thought and love. I highly recommend staying here. It's more than a place to crash. It's an experience, and a good one! :)

Weekend Trip to Verde River Vortex

We loved our stay Verde River Vortex! We stayed in for 3 nights and had a blast. Jason the owner is very accommodating and just an overall good guy! He let us borrow a stand up paddle board and shuttled our family up river so we could float down (absolutely no charge). It was such a cool experience, my husband and I floated the Verde River each with a kid on the front of our board! He also recommended a variety of secluded swimming holes for the next day. There is a hot tub on the property he let us use as well, our kids absolutely loved it! If you want to enjoy the stars, be off the beaten path yet close to town, this is your spot! I highly recommend these cabins!

We had a blast in this cabin. We grilled dinners and ate outside. Our children enjoyed the amenities center after long days of hiking in Sedona.

Full size wood bed for your air mattress, camp pad, etc. Bring you own and bring your sleeping bags or other bedding.

Weekend Trip to Camp Saguaro

We stayed in the adobe house, was perfect for 4 of us. Clean and very cute home. The staff were so friendly, and the Easter bunny even showed up to camp to hide eggs all over. Great price for the value. Awesome common area with lots of games, clean bathrooms, and hot showers. Beautifully decorated/landscaped camp with friendly and fun vibe. Great location, 5 min drive to West Saguaro National Park.

4 nights at Glamper Cabin in the Aspens & Pines

Our family of six had an amazing four night stay at this perfect cabin. Our four kids loved splitting wood, pumping water, and all things about off-the-grid living. The wood burning stove kept us toasty and entertained. We read and played games including a very serious tournament of capture the flag! It was also amazing to fall asleep hearing a bit of rain but waking to a covering of snow! This was also a good base for a day trip to the Grand Canyon. I loved being out of range of WiFi and cell service; a helpful reset for the first half of a family adventure.

The Casita was just right for our two couples to spend two nights as a jumping off spot for exploring the Painted Desert / Petrified Forest National Park. The two separated areas were nice for privacy, with shared kitchen downstairs and shared lounging space upstairs. Bonus: The night sky here is amazing! And Sandee is such a friendly host.

1 night at Beaver Creek Oasis

Beautiful space right near a river. Very quiet and calm. Enjoyed all of the different bird species in the area. Laura is a wonderful host and our stay was super comfortable. With multiple sites, we'll definitely be visiting again.
