Escape to Mesquite Haven, a peaceful off-grid campground nestled on five scenic acres on Tucson’s west side. Surrounded by mesquite trees, stunning desert sunsets, and incredible stargazing skies (we’re part of the Dark Sky program), this is the perfect place to unwind, explore, or simply breathe. You can see Picture Rocks from the property! We’re just 15 minutes from Saguaro National Park, the Desert Museum, and Old Tucson Theme Park, with endless opportunities for hiking, biking, caving, and even skiing on Mt. Lemmon. Whether you’re seeking adventure or a quiet retreat, we’re happy to help plan your perfect stay. What You’ll Find: Our campground sits on half of our property—designed for comfort while staying close to nature. Choose from spacious pull-through sites with raised pads for tents, van camping, pop-ups, or Class B trailers up to 16 feet. Prefer something cozier? Book one of our two bunkhouses (full/twin or twin/twin beds) or enjoy our unique glamping tent furnished with late-1800s pieces. Nature All Around: Listen to horses, ducks, peacocks, owls, and coyotes as you relax under the stars. Spot rabbits, hawks, eagles, lizards, and more. This is true desert living—beautiful, wild, and serene. Good to Know: The final ¼ mile to the property is a dirt road that can be bumpy or muddy after rain. Some areas have uneven ground, so bring sturdy shoes. Pets are welcome—just keep them leashed and off the furniture. Nearby Essentials: • Gas: Speedway – 11 miles • Dollar General: 4.3 miles • Safeway (Silverbell): 16.5 miles We’re also working on adding a small on-site shop for forgotten items. This is the Tombstone Rose. Named after worlds largest rose tree in Tombstone Arizona., at the Rose Tree Museum. The furnishings are from the same era as the Tombstone rose was first brought to Arizona. Included in your stay is: propane, propane heater, propane firepit, BBQ, and up to 3 vehicles! We also include a Jackery so you can charge all of your devices. The tent looks deceivingly small from the outside. But once you enter, you will be amazed at the space before you. A 16 foot octagon with side wall heights at 5 foot, and the center pole at 10 foot. Fully carpeted vintage luxury. We hope that you enjoy the plush queen size bed complete with pillows and comforters hand made to fit the era. Looking for a romantic night for two or just a get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The Tombstone Rose sleeps up to 3 people.

This is the Cannonball. A great space to share. Sleeps up to 3 people. With a twin bed on the top bunk and the lower couch folds out to a full size bed. You can have your table and chairs inside if the weather is inclement or take them out on your porch to enjoy the morning sunrise or the evening sunset. This is the Eastwood. A sweet cabin built for two. A rustic day bed with the comfort of a memory foam mattress. Lounge inside on the bed or sit at the wooden table and chairs. The Gecko
Jennifer & Dave are awesome hosts at a great secluded spot not far from Tucson! My roommate and I spent a night visiting from the Phoenix area and upgraded to a bunkhouse upon arrival - Jennifer was quick to have it set up, and man, the beds and bedding were great. We ended up chatting around their fire until nearly 1am. The couple is very familiar with their locale, too- They recommended some fun places around their area and around the city that made our exploration all that much better. I would absolutely recommend spending a night at Mesquite Haven!

The Tombstone Rose
Comfortable spot and a nice little getaway. Stayed warm in the yurt despite 30 degree night time temps. Great sunset as well

A Desert Delight!
The Tombstone Rose
had the most AMAZING time! Jennifer & her husband were so attentive and hospitable & I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I booked this trip on a whim last minute and wasn’t sure to expect but they didn’t disappoint. Everything was nicely put together, clean and organized, and clear cut. We only spent one night here but I would definitely return!!! One of the best glamping experiences i’ve partaken in since downloading this app!

Fun & chill
The Tombstone Rose
Me and my boyfriend had an amazing time visiting Mesquite Haven. We’re not even 2 hours away so we decided to give it a go and it wasn’t a disappointment. We stayed in the Tombstone Rose, it was cozy, spacious, clean & already had a heater inside, which they’ll show you how to use. They also will provide a Jackery for charging & to plug in the lights that are in there. Jennifer a Dave are very nice, chill & welcoming if you need anything all you gotta do is ask and they’ll come see what’s up. Right when you arrive Jennifer will be outside to show you everything, where to park, the restroom area, where to go look and explore literally everything. Then like I said earlier they are very nice people you can talk to them, it was nice getting to know them. Lastly they are pet friendly. Our dog did cause a little problem but we just contacted them right away and they came over to see what the situation was, they didn’t make us feel bad or anything because accidents do happen. Just be straight up with them and they will be with you too. So yeah I highly recommend coming here for a visit. Can’t wait to come again.

The Cannonball
We stayed in one of their two bunkhouses.. Super cozy, kind of car culture themed.. The other one was more Western.. Close by, they have The Barn.. A simple kitchen and bathroom, available for everyone on the property to use.. ALL utensils, supplies, and grille tools. Super thoughtful! We opted for a couple of the Add-Ons.. Jen took very good attention to our requests! Next time, we're TOTALLY staying in the Tombstone Rose. We were really impressed with the property.. Did some local spots, ajen suggested.. They really have thought about almost everything! Thanks for the experience! We'll be back!

A magical stay under the stars in a secluded getaway beyond the light of the city. Friendly folks, chatted with them a bit before heading off to my site. So peaceful and quiet out there. Would highly recommend for anyone passing through or just looking for a stay away from the city life if youre in the area.
