Humming Bird Campsite

3 sites · RVs, Tents5 acres · Oljato Monument Valley, UT
First day of my campsite I start with 2 campsites then I built 1 more campsite. I then made fire pit an after that I built an outhouse its a restroom so of the guest don't know what an outhouse is we tell them it doesn't take no water to flush. After that I built a wooden fence around the whole campsite from horses a cows get into our property. So that how I started a campsite. Now our guests love our campsite a some of them came back an we have a short hiking trail to the rims to overlook the whole valleys its beautiful to take pictures from there. Learn more about this land: Guest can pitch a tent or park RV within the campsite having access to own picnic table and fire pit. The Campsite is 10-15 mins to the Valley View of the Famous Monuments and close to Navajo Tribal Park. Access to Restroom (Outhouse) within the site. Guest can request Navajo Taco Dinner with Navajo Tea for extra cost to enlighten their stay here in Beautiful Monument Valley. Guest can bring pets as well. Sacred Springs

5 sites · Lodging, Tents8 acres · Lake Montezuma, AZ
Sacred Springs A phenomenal, sacred riparian corridor. Sacred Springs offers a retreat for seekers of serenity and spiritual renewal. Just up the creek from the iconic Montezuma Castle National Monument and down from the enchanting Montezuma Well. Your journey will begin long before you arrive, as you enter into the sacred river valley and embark on the primitive road that leads to our desert oasis. From our campsites, you'll have the remarkable opportunity to witness the echoes of the past and the pulse of the present, as the nearby I-17 highway traces the path of this ancient route. As travelers journey along this prehistoric corridor, their footsteps echo those of countless generations who traversed these lands long before us. —Driving atop the mesa, you'll feel the powerful frequency of the desert enveloping you and by the time you reach Sacred Springs you’ll sense, the immense potential for transformation and connection that awaits you.— Our campsites have breathtaking, panoramic sunrise and sunset views overlooking a powerful confluence of Wet Beaver Creek and Dry Beaver Creek. While Sacred Springs offers a breathtaking retreat amidst the beauty of nature, it's important to note the inherent dangers of our unique landscape. Perched on a cliff 60 feet above the creek, our property boasts stunning views and serene surroundings—but it also requires vigilance and care. The terrain here is steep and unforgiving, reminding us to slow down and savor each moment mindfully. (Please, remain on trails at all times.) With every step, it's crucial to remain fully present, ensuring proper footing and safe navigation at all times. —As you explore the wonders of Sacred Springs, let this be an opportunity to hone your senses and cultivate a deeper connection with the earth beneath your feet. Embrace the challenge of traversing the rugged terrain, knowing that every cautious step brings you closer to the heart of this sacred sanctuary.— This land holds the echoes of a prehistoric ancient community that thrived right here, utilizing irrigation for farming and dwelling in cliffside abodes. Picture yourself immersed in the rich history of the Hisat'sinom, sitting in a cave dwelling pondering about the daily lives of the ancients. You'll have the opportunity to reconnect with yourself, and to heal. Relax fully immersed in a natural riparian corridor as you hike along the creek, find your peace in one of our hammock swings next to the creek, or witness the breathtaking sunrise and sunset, from the best seat in Arizona. —With mindfulness and respect for the land, may your visit be one of discovery, growth, and profound reverence for the natural world. Sun & Moon Geo Dome Retreat

2 sites · Lodging2 acres · Dewey, AZ
It seems like nearly everyone who comes here says this is a peaceful place!  It's like being out in the country whilst still being close enough to so many things, halfway between Sedona and Prescott, in a neighborhood with dirt roads and farm animals in which horses have the right away. The mountains are hypnotic. The air is clean. The stars are breathtaking. You can see the Milky Way on a clear night. The sunsets and sunrises are gorgeous and we see a lot of double rainbows here. The dome is fully furnished for 4 people. Inside there's a queen bed, futon, clean linens, table w/chairs, portable a/c, electric heater; propane heater, lamps, microwave (for indoor cooking), ice maker, Keurig coffee maker, mini-fridge, USB & outlets for small devices (light electrical usage only), and WIFI is available. Plus a yoga mat, books, & a binder with food and sightseeing recommendations for the area. Outside there's a picnic table, propane grill with side burner, propane firepit with comfortable seating surrounding. The clear dome windows are showing signs of aging, so the best star and sunset/sunrise viewing is outside. The outhouse building is equipped with a camping toilet, pump sink, and a camping shower (now heated!). One towel per guest, grill utensils, cups, and plate ware provided. Bring disposables if you do not want to wash your own dishes. Most of the time guests are able to park next to the dome but sometimes, weather depending, it will be necessary to park and walk in about a hundred feet away from the dome. Also on the property you'll find a walking path carved out through the trees behind the dome with a medicine wheel and labyrinth. The property is located in a rural neighborhood so there are other houses around, but at a far distance, with still plenty of privacy.  There are lots of animals like cardinals, hawks, owls, blue jays, roadrunners, hummingbirds, jackrabbits, cottontails, coyotes, and mule deer.  Farm animals like donkeys make sounds in the distance which is pretty comical at times. There are occasional sightings of beer, wolves, and mountain lions. The location is central to so many incredible places to explore. Within an hour each direction, there is distinctly different natural terrain to discover. Our local Mortimer Farm is 7 miles away and has a bakery (breakfast/sandwiches/treats), seasonal activities including pick your own food, farm dancing, and monthly farm to table dinners. We also have a local winery, golf course, café, pizzeria, subway and BBQ restaurant.  Here are some of the sight seeing possibilities you could use this location to launch from, just to get your mind percolating: Grand Canyon (2.5 hours)Devil’s Bridge (Sedona) Cathedral rock (Sedona) Bell Rock (Sedona) Oak Creek Canyon (Sedona) Bumblebee Giant Saguaros (North Phoenix) Watson’s Lake (Prescott) Granite Dels (Prescott) Ghost Town Tour (Jerome) Lowell Observatory (Flagstaff) Wupatki National Monument (Flagstaff) Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument (Flagstaff) Arizona Snowbowl (Flagstaff) Antelope Canyon (Page) Lake Powell (Page) Horseshoe Bend (Page) Petrified Forest National Park (2.75 hours) Meteor Crater National Landmark (2 hours) Walnut Canyon National Monument (Flagstaff) Montezuma Castle National Monument and Well (Camp Verde) Out of Africa Wildlife Park (Camp Verde) Desert Botanical Gardens (Phoenix) Wine Tasting (Page Springs) It's my intention that anyone who stays here, leaves more nourished in spirit, more firmly planted in their true selves and more deeply in alignment with nature's rhythm. Looking forward to your visit!

Grand Canyon Wander Camp

16 sites · Lodging50 acres · Williams, AZ
After traveling the world extensively for over 5 years we discovered that there are few places as beautiful as the great outdoors. We live for untouched wilderness, gorgeous landscapes, and stunning sunrises. Thus Wander Camp was born, a Glamping Property with no boundaries. Finally an accommodation that enjoys traveling the world as much as you do. Wander Camp Grand Canyon is a rustic glamping accommodation, located in Dark Sky country, approximately 30 minutes from the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park. Please be aware that you may encounter other groups during your visit. Our site features numerous glamping tents, and although it is nestled in a secluded area, you may still encounter other individuals. 4WD is recommended! BE PREPARED to drive on rural, unpaved roads, with the potential for both pot holes and large dips along the way. Parking is available as close to tents as possible, typically a short walk of 25-50 feet. Each of our large, waterproof canvas bell tents - 216 sq. feet, 16 feet in diameter and height - include low profile windows and a large netted door with double zippers for privacy. Inside you'll see they come furnished with not only the necessary camping furniture, but luxury beds with high thread count sheets, plush down comforters, pillows and blankets. A soft rug, side tables and leather wingback chairs give it that touch of home. We do operate completely off-grid which means no electricity is provided at camp. We provide solar lanterns in each tent for lighting, as well as solar lighted pathways throughout camp; however, you'll definitely want to make sure you take time to enjoy the darkness for star gazing outside of our tent.
