First day of my campsite I start with 2 campsites then I built 1 more campsite. I then made fire pit an after that I built an outhouse its a restroom so of the guest don't know what an outhouse is we tell them it doesn't take no water to flush. After that I built a wooden fence around the whole campsite from horses a cows get into our property. So that how I started a campsite. Now our guests love our campsite a some of them came back an we have a short hiking trail to the rims to overlook the whole valleys its beautiful to take pictures from there.

The Campsite is 10-15 mins to the Valley View of the Famous Monuments and close to Navajo Tribal Park. Access to Restroom (Outhouse) within the site. Guest can request Navajo Taco Dinner with Navajo Tea for extra cost to enlighten their stay here in Beautiful Monument Valley. Guest can bring pets as well. We are pet friendly and have one well behaved dogs name spike and diamond. Also we rv size will be 25 ft long .. 30 ft. Long is going to button out on the cattle guard. We don't have hookup.

We offer a RURAL, rustic camping experience. Our property is off-grid thus we cannot offer you any sort of facilities or services at this time & your cell may not be 100% useful. We chose Outpost in our name because we believe it provides an accurate description: a remote, isolated station, settlement, or camp located at a distance from the main body.
Our property is 7.4 miles down a dirt Indian Route through a significant wash and while 4 wheel drive is ideal, you can make it in nice weather conditions without 4 wheel drive. Keith’s sister made it in her Chevrolet Sonic, for example. Large RVs may scrape along the way; we did with our 40' fifth wheel.
Our 60 acre property offers a unique experience for those looking for a place to unplug and explore with plenty of privacy and room to roam. You'll enjoy incredible views of the Painted Desert, Gray Mountain, and the San Francisco peaks. The night skies will be unlike anything you’ve seen unless you have been in the middle of the ocean with no light pollution.
Some important things to note about our property:
Our property will always and forever be a Safe Place for all people. We hold no prejudices regardless of race, ethnicity, or creeds. Our guests will always be respected, loved and welcome and it must be that way with other guests.
We are a clothing optional campground, which means you may be naked on our property.
We are pet-friendly. We have two medium size puppies. Let's ensure our furry friends have as much fun as we are having by keeping them on a leash and we clean up after them. We also wouldn't want them to chase away the wild mustangs, which are beautiful to see in full gallop.
NOTICE: As a desert location you may encounter wildlife (nice and not so nice) while on the property hiking around. We have seen pacific gopher snakes, non-venomous snake that eats rodents and has similar markings to rattlesnakes, which are also present. A triangle head means venomous. Listen carefully while hiking around.

Gary and Daren thought of everything and were fun to talk to. This place was more than we expected. They have created a beautiful oasis--or sacred spring, if you will. We cannot wait to return one day for a longer stay. Very close to Montezuma Well and Castle. As well as a short drice to Sedona, if you're looking to be near.

We booked Sacred Springs as a basecamp for exploring Sedona, but quickly found ourselves eager to return to camp as much as any adventure.
Gary and Daren have created something truly special. Every detail feels intentional—from the spotless facilities and beautifully maintained grounds to the well-stocked community room with cookware, spices, oils, and other essentials—their guests’ comfort is clearly at the heart of everything they do.
The amenities exceeded our expectations: fresh eggs from the chicken coop, a running toilet, rainfall and solar showers, paddleboards, kayaks, floaties, private creek access, and a peaceful walking path. Everything was clean, organized, and welcoming.
The creek is a hidden oasis, and some of our favorite moments of the trip were spent swimming, paddling, floating, or simply relaxing by the water.
Gary's hospitality is exceptional, striking the perfect balance between being available and giving guests plenty of space. You can tell he genuinely cares about the experience people have here. While it may be a rare sighting to see Daren, as he’s always working behind the scenes, his presence is evident throughout the landscaping, gardens, and natural beauty of the property—Hi, Daren 👋🏻!
Their strengths complement one another perfectly. Together, they've created a place that feels less like a campground and more like a labor of love.
We arrived expecting a place to stay and left grateful, and we look forward to our return to Sacred Springs!

Great location. Gary checked me in and was very kind and showed me all the amenities provided. Fire pits, well kept showers and bathroom, and a wonderful hiking path down to a creek where kayaks and paddle boards were provided. I want to come back to this location again.

Disclaimer: I live in the northeast US, so Arizona generally looks like Mars to me. But Painted Desert was absolutely gorgeous! I had site 5, which had a great tucked away feeling with awesome views of the sunset and the San Francisco Peaks. 100% highly recommend. Just be prepared - the only resources provided are a pit toilet and a bundle of kindling.

I had such an amazing and magical stay here! I felt safe and welcome - Gary & Daren’s beautiful space was the perfect sanctuary for a lot of growth, stillness, and exploration. The stars were bright, the wildlife was plentiful (rabbits, hummingbirds, little lizards, fish and hawks at the creek, and even a little chicken coop - all kept their distance yet were calm; a clear sign that they are well cared for and respected). The creek’s flowing waters were a wonderful contrast to the Sedona desert red rocks (only 30 minutes away and where I’d spend my mornings hiking before spending the rest of the day exploring and resting in Sacred Springs). Gary & Daren even made sure I was set up to safely burn my old hair, which was an important ritual that lesser hosts might have looked down upon or judged. Plus, their facilities and amenities meant that I could be comfortable and clean even while in the dessert and pushing myself outside my comfort zone! I loved the rustic feel of the campground and the horses. It was really nice to be able to walk from our campsite on a trail that overlooked the valley. We really enjoyed chatting with Steven about the area and the horses in the valley.

We thoroughly appreciated the location provided, particularly its secure, fenced perimeter, which allowed our dogs to roam freely and safely off-leash. The presence of the shower house and the freestanding toilet facility significantly enhanced our experience, elevating our camping trip to a glamping experience. Furthermore, the freshly gathered eggs provided by the host were a delightful addition.

Had a good time camping at Hummingbird! Because it's only a few minutes from the entrance to Monument Valley, the views are beautiful. At night, the sky is incredible and absolutely massive with thousands of stars. There are also a couple of friendly neighborhood dogs who greeted us right away. Overall, great campsite!
