I've always adored the SW Hummingbirds and wanted to name the property La Hacienda Chuparosa. When we moved in, for the first week, every morning a hummingbird was sipping nectar from one of our plants in the front yard. We knew it was meant to be. We obtained our campground from a couple that owned it for 20 years but just weren't able to do to it what they had originally planned.. So it was essentially a blank canvas for us to create!! We are the closest town to the Grand Canyon SKYWALK, which is just 40 minutes from us. Meadview, the town we are located, is the only place to obtain Free Entree to the Lake Mead Recreational Center. Our Campground just 10 miles from Lake Mead and 17 Miles from the Colorado River. We have outstanding Lookouts, Top notch Stargazing, Gold Prospecting, Bird Watching, Fishing, Off Roading etc. Some of the Best Desert Off-Roading through trails within the Joshua Tree National Forest, Please note you must bring your own OHV, horse, etc, there is currently no rentals available. We do have Kayaks to rent upon arrival. There is a hidden water fall in the Grapevine Wash that you can get to with a 4 wheel vehicle and you hike in about 15 minutes in. Stunning views and gorgeous natural spring and waterfall. We are 45 minutes off the 93 Freeway Free WIFI provided at the office!.. The town doesn't always have a powerful signal, please keep that in mind in your travels. However, if you have Verizon, it gets GREAT service! There are three restaurants in town, all just one mile from site... The Boathouse, Anchor Smokehouse and Fishermans Landing Bar. We have a Bakery called Rosemary and Thyme that serves Delicious foods & Pastries and makes great coffees. There is also a Gas n Grub that has ice, propane etc... 5 miles away is a Family Dollar store which we lovingly call the "Mall of Meadview"

But above all, we have a private gate leading to the BLM land situated right next to the RV pad! Feel free to use it to go and explore, maybe even hike down to the river. Don't be surprised if you see people on horseback, as this is a very popular equestrian area. There are tons of sightseeing opportunities around us, such as Bisbee (be sure to check out Old Bisbee, and the Bisbee Breakfast Club for some amazing food), Tombstone (OK Corral puts on a very entertaining show), Cartchner Caverns State Park, Coronado National Memorial. All within a short drive from here. If you'd like to visit Mexico, you can cross at Naco (about 15 minute drive) or at Douglas (about 45 minutes) Lots of restaurants in Sierra Vista, but we recommend trying Mimosa Pizzeria, or La Sierra Steakhouse, both just a 10 minute drive down the road, along with Dollar General for your immediate needs. The RV site offers full hookups, 30/50 Amp service. Your pets are welcome to roam around off leash, as long as they're people and dog friendly.

These two Sites are better for tents or a small trailer. A personal generator may be used but only during certain hours. These are lovely spots with shade trees, so pretty. There are lots of mature Juniper trees and some Pine trees that provide shade on the property. Often we experience a lovely breeze. We live a mile off of 260 on a rugged dirt road. We keep the Entrance Gate locked for safety and security. We are located on 2 acres and have a garden and a green house where we grow a large variety of vegetables. We only accept trailers and fifth wheels of 21 feet or less on site #2 and #3. There is a Chicken House and a rooster and we have plenty of farm fresh eggs that are available to purchase. 0ur home is tucked away 1 mile off the 260 Hwy. on a rugged dirt road. First you will drive pass the Linden Valley Arena before reaching our property. The Arena was designed for ropers by ropers and is open from May thru September. 10-15 minute drive away is Fool Hollow lake, Show Low City Park, Safeway Grocery Store, Post Office, Library, and a variety of restaurants. Within that distance there is Boating, Fishing, Hiking, Picnic Areas, Large Dog Park, well equipped Playground area, Basketball Courts, Baseball fields, Sand Volley Ball, Tennis Courts, Racquet Ball Court, Horseshoe Pits, Disc Golf, Outdoor Exercise Stations, Walking Trail, Pavilions, Restrooms all the while enjoying the enormous, plentiful Ponderosa Pines. Show Low City Park Aquatic Center has 6 lane 25-yard pool with an adjoining leisure pool featuring zero-depth entry, Spray Fountain, Water Slide, Indoor Spa. Show Low was named by the turn of a Card. A ranch of nearly 100,000 acres jointly owned by Marion Clark and Croydon Cooley a U.S. army scout. Bird watching: Experience hundreds of different species of birds in Cochise County (485 at last count). Lots of different hummingbirds (we're the hummingbird capital of the United States), hawks, sparrows, roadrunners, cactus wren, quail, and the list goes on. Be sure to hike down the San Pedro River, or to Ramsey Canyon to see even more! Hiking: With an abundance of canyons in the area, there's hiking opportunities all around us! A short 10 minute drive lands you at the foot of the Huachuca Mountains with Ramsey Canyon, Miller Canyon, Carr Canyon, and many more! But above all, we have a private gate leading to the BLM land situated right next to the RV pad! Feel free to use it to go and explore, maybe even hike down to the river. Don't be surprised if you see people on horseback, as this is a very popular equestrian area. There are tons of sightseeing opportunities around us, such as Bisbee (be sure to check out Old Bisbee, and the Bisbee Breakfast Club for some amazing food), Tombstone (OK Corral puts on a very entertaining show), Cartchner Caverns State Park, Coronado National Memorial. All within a short drive from here. If you'd like to visit Mexico, you can cross at Naco (about 15 minute drive) or at Douglas (about 45 minutes) Lots of restaurants in Sierra Vista, but we recommend trying Mimosa Pizzeria, or La Sierra Steakhouse, both just a 10 minute drive down the road, along with Dollar General for your immediate needs. The RV site offers full hookups, 30/50 Amp service. Your pets are welcome to roam around off leash, as long as they're people and dog friendly.

Site#1 has Full Hook Up - Running water, sewage RV Hookup of 30amp and 50amp electricity, for $45. Site#2 and Site#3 are side by side. They have running water and priced at $25. each. These two Sites are better for tents or a small trailer. A personal generator may be used but only during certain hours. These are lovely spots with shade trees, so pretty. There are lots of mature Juniper trees and some Pine trees that provide shade on the property. Often we experience a lovely breeze. We live a mile off of 260 on a rugged dirt road. We keep the Entrance Gate locked for safety and security. We are located on 2 acres and have a garden and a green house where we grow a large variety of vegetables. We only accept trailers and fifth wheels of 21 feet or less on site #2 and #3. There is a Chicken House and a rooster and we have plenty of farm fresh eggs that are available to purchase. 0ur home is tucked away 1 mile off the 260 Hwy. on a rugged dirt road. First you will drive pass the Linden Valley Arena before reaching our property. The Arena was designed for ropers by ropers and is open from May thru September. 10-15 minute drive away is Fool Hollow lake, Show Low City Park, Safeway Grocery Store, Post Office, Library, and a variety of restaurants. Within that distance there is Boating, Fishing, Hiking, Picnic Areas, Large Dog Park, well equipped Playground area, Basketball Courts, Baseball fields, Sand Volley Ball, Tennis Courts, Racquet Ball Court, Horseshoe Pits, Disc Golf, Outdoor Exercise Stations, Walking Trail, Pavilions, Restrooms all the while enjoying the enormous, plentiful Ponderosa Pines. Show Low City Park Aquatic Center has 6 lane 25-yard pool with an adjoining leisure pool featuring zero-depth entry, Spray Fountain, Water Slide, Indoor Spa. Show Low was named by the turn of a Card. A ranch of nearly 100,000 acres jointly owned by Marion Clark and Croydon Cooley a U.S. army scout. According to legend, sometime around 1876, the partners decided that there was not enough room for both of them and one of them should leave. They decided to settle this issue over a game of "Seven Up" (with the winner taking the ranch and the loser leaving.) After the game seemed to have no winner in sight the game reached it's climax when Clark said, "If you can show low, you win." At this point Cooley turned up the deuce of clubs, and declared "Show Low" it is! Show Low is a city in Navajo County, Arizona among the lush green ponderosa pine forestland and along Arizona's Mogollon Rim at an elevation of 6,345 feet. From the outdoor shower (heaven after a long day of riding) to the quiet, to the laundry facilities, I can't think of how Melanie (and Joanie) could have made this haven any better. 20/10. Directions clear, found the site after dark without issue. Cory is responsive and provides a welcoming site. Site has two well placed trees to provide natural shade for the tent. Site is fenced in, with a swing close gate - provides peace of mind for those with kids. Plenty of space, we fit a 10 person and a canopy with space for likely 1-2 more tents. We biked to the lake, very tucked location, not public access, so had it to ourselves. Great view of the distant mountains. Fish may be smarter than us as we only managed a small tilapia, but the lake is lively with plenty of fish jumping out along the shore line. Portable bathroom was pristinely clean, one of the best we’ve seen. Site is well kept, we look forward to returning and seeing what else Cory can do with the place! Most importantly - Cory is a phenomenal host - welcoming, helpful, and laid back. Especially welcoming and willing to help with anything we needed - he went above and beyond to make our weekend trip great. Absolutely recommend this site!

Our host went above and beyond to make everything about this experience amazing. The stay was so soulful. We took the opportunity for river kayaking, and it was made so easy with our hosts help. We were blessed to be able take the time to spend a quiet day painting rocks and enjoying the beautiful surroundings. A few nights under the stars on the loft deck were the reset we needed. Can’t boast more about this stay. Highly recommend all of it.

Mesquite Meadows is as beautiful as pictured! The night sky, the sunset and sunrise from this spot is breathtaking. But the sights pale in comparison to the warmth and kindness demonstrated by Attila and Heather. As this was our "first full hook up run" with our RV they were happy to offer help if any was needed which was reassuring. In addition to that you can only imagine the joy we felt when Heather provided a fresh pint of homemade vanilla ice cream "which just finished churning." Needless to say, that was the first thing on the list -- finish that ice cream! What a lovely touch! We will absolutely be returning to Mesquite Meadows and enjoy the warmth, kindness, sights and peacefulness this Hipcamp offers. Highly recommended!

Very well kept, amazing views (desert land/plants, sunset, night sky, sunrise, all of it!), beautiful artwork and mini trails, basically more than anyone can ask for at a campsite. My husband, dogs and I enjoyed camping here so much we plan to visit again. It was nice that the whole area was to ourselves, it felt very private and safe. Would definitely recommend!

Our stay at Dan’s place in Lake Havasu City was nothing short of amazing. Truly! This was our first Hipcamp experience, and wow — the bar has been set so high. The location was peaceful and scenic, felt very private, and it was located just a short walk to Castle Rock Bay where our Florida dogs had a blast splashed and played in the water together. Dan was a b*tchin' host too! He was kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about the area’s land and wildlife. We even went on a rock-hunting adventure through the refuge together at sunrise — such a truly unique and special experience! The sunsets were absolutely breathtaking, and the entire experience felt safe, beautiful, and welcoming. We only stayed two nights, but honestly, we could have stayed a month. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a genuine, nature-filled Arizona stay! 🌵✨

We created some very special memories staying at Jason's cabin and meeting Jason! The nature that surrounds the cabin is stunning and is a great getaway. We used hot bubbly Jacuzzi under a beautiful sky after our long hike. We all loved climbing up on the loft just to chill and observe beautiful sky and feel some fresh air. Jason welcomed us so kindly and made us feel home. The cabin and Jason's hospitality is so special and something that is hard to find elsewhere. We highly recommend! Thank you so much Jason!
