Great place, Cory was a great host. We were able to see the goats on our way out and some fishing. The kids where really happy, I would definitely recommend!

If you’re looking for a place to camp in this area it’s OK. Quiet. Some cattle feedlot smell. A bit funky. We were just needing a place to park the van for the night so it was just fine for that.

Great place, great people! Cory is truly one of the most hospitable and friendly people you could ever meet. He set up the fire for us before we arrived, lent us his fishing rod, and even showed us the beautiful route to the private lake. He also shared his amazing biking skills with my son, which made the experience even more memorable. The night we spent there was peaceful and quiet, and the place had everything we needed—water, a bathroom, and all the conveniences you could hope for.

Directions clear, found the site after dark without issue. Cory is responsive and provides a welcoming site. Site has two well placed trees to provide natural shade for the tent. Site is fenced in, with a swing close gate - provides peace of mind for those with kids. Plenty of space, we fit a 10 person and a canopy with space for likely 1-2 more tents.
We biked to the lake, very tucked location, not public access, so had it to ourselves. Great view of the distant mountains. Fish may be smarter than us as we only managed a small tilapia, but the lake is lively with plenty of fish jumping out along the shore line.
Portable bathroom was pristinely clean, one of the best we’ve seen.
Site is well kept, we look forward to returning and seeing what else Cory can do with the place!
Most importantly - Cory is a phenomenal host - welcoming, helpful, and laid back. Especially welcoming and willing to help with anything we needed - he went above and beyond to make our weekend trip great. Absolutely recommend this site!

The only communication we had with this camp was generated through HipCamp, not a direct person. We never met him. We stayed just one night. It is very quiet, and there was one other camper. It’s unclear how many sites there are, and whether or not we stayed in the correct site. We think there are 3 sites, very close together, and very small. One site which is advertised as good for up to 12 people has one side about 10’ from the road. (Not super busy, but it’s a dirt farm road, so dusty.) 12 people in the site would really push the limits.
The fact that the owner wasn’t around, but there was a head high camera in the middle of the property and a motion detected security light was a bit unsettling.

Corys property is one of the coolest set ups ive ever had the pleasure of visiting! And cory is one of the coolest/chillest guys ever! He really turned me on to off gride living add the way he does it straight inspiring. And gate me alot of ideas to put into my set up once i have one! I will definitely be coming back and keeping in contact with cory! Thanks you for everything man you've changed my perspective on how someone "seeds to live". Much love brother!

Best decision we made on our trip. We were here for spring training baseball but didn’t want to tent camp on BLM land due to concerns of thieves and bad actors, we also heard horror stories about other “campgrounds” in the area that are loud and rowdy throughout the night … We got so lucky picking Sunset Nook.
Cory was a great host! Lots of amenities (water, toilet, bbq and chairs) Cory protected our things while we were away and gave us our space while we were there. The lake is just a small walk away and offers beautiful views of mountains and wildlife
Can’t wait till next year when we come back for next year’s spring training

It was easy to get to and perfect for tent camping.bThe host is super accommodating and friendly. Has a couple of curious cats welcome us and themselves into our car. Don't tell anyone but there is a private lake close by. We will return before the summer heat

Cory was INSANELY ACCOMMODATING!! As we arrived, his neighbor opened the gate for us and gave us super tasty strawberry jam. I wish we were able to get some of his cornbread but we will make it another time.
Our campsite was as pictured and Cory helped us in all ways that he could. We weren’t that prepared with food yet Cory gave us some of what he had to make our food taste better.
All in all, this was a fantastic stay and it was this great because of the host. Awesome conversation, advice, wisdom, great vibes, and just a peaceful, wonderful time. WILL BE BACK!!!

We came to get away and stayed because it felt like home! This place is truly magical. We stayed at the Sunset Nooks and arrived late but Corey was beyond accommodating and helpful the entire time. He gave us directions to a nearby lake the next day that was peaceful and beautiful. We had two toddlers with us and felt safe the whole time. Our entire family loved the nature, water, and beautiful sunsets that the campsite offered us~ it gave us lasting memories. If you need a nervous system reset, this is the place. Thank you Corey!! We will be back.

This was my second time staying here and I felt very safe and comfortable camping out. The night sky was amazing and the sunsets were breathtaking. Conversation and sharing a meal amongst friends is what it felt like. Cory is a very down-to-earth person and very kind. The property is something else. It feels like a magical and special place I will stay again and again whenever I am headed over to Phoenix. Highly recommend. Thank you.

What a nice little oasis. Private lake nearby, private and quiet road, and very safe. This is a little slice of heaven. Mesquite trees and a light breeze. Great sunsets and a fire burning. Wish I would have brought marshmallows! Cory is a great host. Absolutely will be back. Thanks.

Cory's an accommodating and friendly host offering a couple different cozy corners of his property for guests to stay on. He has future plans to make it even cooler than it currently is (electricity, added privacy amenities, etc.) but my girlfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay! You drive past goats on the drive in and the location is close to a private lake which was cool to scope on our way out. We threw down our tent for the night and were greeted by native birdsong and the love and attention from Cory's adorable dog and personable cats. The port-o-potty on the property was clean and well-stocked which was a welcomed bonus! We would definitely stay here again if we're back in the greater Phoenix area and are looking for something a bit more adventurous than a cheap motel.

Corey was a great host. He greated me upon arrival and even had a fire going. The campsite was easy to fined and super safe and secure. The spot is perfectly located midway between my drive from Flagstaff to San Diego, not too far from Phoenix either. I highly recommend.
