What to expect: We are in a rural neighborhood where most parcels are 1-3 acres, we have seven acres. It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote. We have carved our sites out of the natural layout of the desert. There are many kinds of cactus in our area in addition to the magnificent Saguaro, and uneven areas when walking. We keep it as natural as possible. We have a small "Mercantile" on property. This is our office, but we also have items you may have forgotten, and souvenirs made by local artists. Also available is firewood, and ice is for sale for your convenience. Hawks Hideaway is a family owned property, occupied by a 3rd and 4th generation, mother-son team. Two generations have lived and died here before us and we are proud to be the custodians of this majestic property, full of old growth, gigantic cottonwood trees. A birdwatcher, or naturalists dream. Hawks Hideaway is a natural and secluded spot located directly adjacent to the state-maintained Verde River Greenway. Now our guests love our campsite a some of them came back an we have a short hiking trail to the rims to overlook the whole valleys its beautiful to take pictures from there. The Campsite is 10-15 mins to the Valley View of the Famous Monuments and close to Navajo Tribal Park. Access to Restroom (Outhouse) within the site. Guest can request Navajo Taco Dinner with Navajo Tea for extra cost to enlighten their stay here in Beautiful Monument Valley. Guest can bring pets as well. We are pet friendly and have one well behaved dogs name spike and diamond. Also we rv size will be 25 ft long .. 30 ft. Long is going to button out on the cattle guard. We don't have hookup.

Welcome to Karla's Hummingbird Guest Ranch! My 8 acre private horse property is located in the Sky Islands area of South Eastern Arizona. Are you grown ups who don't want to be next to kids yelling and running around dropping trash and throwing rocks, or barking pit bulls chained up, or loud music and generators? Do you like a clean restroom and a nice breakfast area on a well maintained property? Do you want to feel safe, enjoy beautiful views and know your stuff won't be stolen while you are in Tombstone? Then my place is for you! 18 and over. NO PIT BULLS. Good well behaved dogs allowed on leash welcome. If you want to bring a properly raised young person you can make your case to me and I will consider. I offer 2 full hook-up spaces, one space is covered. Power is 50 AMPS! An RV must be under 12' to fit under the covered space. I offer 4 dry camping options. You can book the Tent Cabana-The Shady Rest- listing or you can dry camp by booking through my Tent and Vehicle Camping listing. There are no exact designated spaces for tent/vehicle camping. You can choose where you prefer to camp. An extra vehicle is OK as long as it's part of your one campsite. 2 groups with 2 camp vehicles is 2 campsites. I also have the Pool House, an indoor option with a power outlet, and it's close to the pool and restroom area. You can set up your bed or rent a full size bed which I will set up for you. This is my private property, you and your gear are safe and secure. You can leave your campsite and go exploring, no one will bother your stuff. I have WiFi and great cell service here. You MUST arrive by dark unless arrangements are made in advance. I will greet you and show you around. I close my gates at dark. Once you are here you may come and go as you please. I am located just over an hour away from Tucson and 25 minutes off the 10. Dry campers- Off the pool area there is a clean restroom in my back garage and a sink with hot water. There is a breakfast room with clean refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker available for your use. Lots of local birds visit daily. You are welcome to visit and pet my horses and donkeys!

You get a nice outdoors experience while also having some basic amenities like showers and a community kitchen. Daren is also extremely kind and helpful. I would highly recommend people to come and stay at Sacred Springs!

4 nights at Camp Saguaro

Camp Saguaro was a great base for exploring the area. The campground is well-maintained, clean, and very cutely decorated. The hosts are very helpful, but also unobtrusive. I loved the meteor shower I saw at 5:30 am. The owls, coyotes, and roosters were a great night sound track. My group was out of camp exploring most days so I didn’t get to spend much daytime in the camp. I would have liked recycling receptacle next to the trash can. That is my main suggestion for improvement. I would definitely stay here again in the future.

I loved the Javalina Hollow site , flat grounds for my tent, larger enough for my truck. All the amenities were amazing. The Hoists were wonderful, The whole layout of Camp Saguaro was awesome. Meet Michelle on then last day, she was wonderful. Hiking was close by along with the amazing Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. I would definitely set up camp here again.

I loved the whole vibe of camp, which is fun and functional! I stayed in the Adobe, which was very comfortable with an air mattress I rented from camp owners for $15. There were hanging overhead lights near the bed which I found helpful though not a substitute for lantern and headlamp. The bathroom was clean, the shower had a healthy stream of warm water. There were welcoming touches throughout the campground including lights on trees, little colorful fake nomes and mushrooms decorating the cacti area near my structure. There were adirondack chairs throughout, easy dish washing sink, a convenience store with ice and wood, gift items. All in all a comfortable experience I’d do again. Plus location is great near Saguero National Park and Gates Pass (wonderful sunset views). My friends stayed in nearby camp sites on premises and we enjoyed campfire meals and singing. Before 8 pm. It was very quiet and clean. Thank you!

Awesome campground, nice sites and lots of amenities. Bathroom and sink washing area were very clean and laundry area was a bonus. Very close to Saguaro west side. Only negative was road noise and barking dogs in the neighborhood. would highly recommend.

We had a group of 8 hiking friends who gathered at Karla's to camp for 2 nights. It was the perfect location for us, since one couple needed a room and they were able to stay in Karla's apartment, while the rest of us had camper vehicles. Karla has made her place very special with her artistic and gardening skills, and she had many unexpected amenities (campfires in the evening and warm cinnamon rolls in the morning). I loved the animals and the $10 fee to groom the baby burro was well worth the fun. Karla's ranch is in a great location for exploring the area, with the only downside being that it is on a busy highway that can get noisy at times. However, it didn't detract from our trip. We did a beautiful hike at Brown Canyon one day, and the next day we explored the ghost town of Fairbank with a beautiful walk along the San Pedro Conservation Area. Some of us took a cold dip in the pool following a rather warm hike. In the evening we had a wonderful wine tasting at Los Milics Vineyards on their patio at sunset and a dinner at the Copper Brothel in Sonoita, both close by. We highly recommend Karla's Humingbird Guest Ranch and hope to come back, again.

Hummingbird Ranch is a special place that shows a lot of care by the owner, Karla. The site affords a beautiful view of the Whetstone Mountains and is convenient to the Huachuchas, the ghost town of Fairbanks, Sonoita, wine country, etc. - a great jumping off point for the area.

Our stay at Karla’s place was exceptional. We arrived just before sunset, and Karla was already waiting at the gate to welcome us and show us to our site. The spot was thoughtfully laid out and extremely well equipped. The 50-amp NEMA 14-50 hookup charged our Tesla without issue. The campsite layout is flexible and well designed, you can set up wherever you’re most comfortable and still have privacy and quiet. The property itself is more than a gem; it’s genuinely unique. We spent a good half hour exploring the artwork in the shared common space, which includes a kitchen area stocked with a microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, and an immaculately clean bathroom. Karla is clearly both a craftsman and an artist, and the care she’s put into the property shows everywhere. Nothing feels generic or rushed, every detail feels intentional and one of a kind. We also had the chance to meet her horses and donkey, all of whom were gentle, friendly, and a joy to be around. The sunset was spectacular, the campsite was peaceful, and we enjoyed dinner in her beautifully decorated outdoor cabana. Karla was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind throughout our stay. Everything was exactly as it should be. We can’t wait to return

Wow. I am blown away how cool, fun, comfy, cute and well taken care of the camp was!! We only spent one short night there but we will be back! There is SO much going on here - and practically inside western Saguaro Nat’l Park I almost don’t want to review it so it stays a secret but I want the folks here to have all the success they deserve. Karla was super accommodating for my RV stay at her ranch. I'm relocating to the area and needed a place to stay for a few days until my new house closes. After several exhausting days preparing for my move and driving down here, the ranch has been the perfect place to get some much needed R&R. She didn't even mind my tortoise stretching his legs around the place! The pool, fire pit area, and other amenities are all well kept and proved a relaxing atmosphere. And yes. There are actual humming birds.😄

1 night at Epic Private 300 Acre Saguaro Park

What a lovely location! We reserved the RV spot and it was perfect! It’s set quite a ways in from the main dirt road and beautifully situated with hills nearby. We truly felt like we were in the middle of the desert with no one around. There is a generous fire pit with a gorgeous Saguaro nearby. We remarked how the fire pit is in the perfect spot relative to the site in that the smoke naturally drifts away from the site. Having a trash can available was a huge perk. We usually have to hassle with containing our trash in our Trasheroo. It’s amazing how something as simple as a trash can can make a world of difference. We promptly realized we needed to extend our reservation from 2 days to 3. We hope to return and highly recommend!
