I enjoyed camping here! It was peaceful despite a little bit of noise from the interstate traffic. Friendly atmosphere and interesting artistic buildings to walk around and see. I had great conversations with some of the people living in the area

Overall we did like the spot. However, it was much closer to the hwy than expected. Constant road noise. Also lots of dogs. We are dog people but it was a little overwhelming. One in particular was overbearing. Also we were never "greeted by the host." We were told we would get a tour and we did not. We did meet Steven and Ian. Both were friendly. And Ian was most helpful. The grounds are well maintained and Ian gave us fresh sweet peas from the garden. We were scheduled for 2 nights stay but only made it one.

Great stay on beautiful property. So many nooks to explore. Amazing spots to stop and meditate.
The host is very accommodating, so just ask. In fact just ask anyone walking around, they were all great.
I will say you must love dogs. They came through camp all the time and most were sweet and chill. There was one naughty pup that was too hyper but we told someone and we didn’t see the dog again for the duration.
I will be back. Very accepting place of desert beauty and inner peace.

The road to reach this site is very sketchy, and no mention was made of that ahead of time. The pipes apparently burst in the shower house a week before we arrived, but no one reached out to let us know. We would have booked somewhere else if we knew there was no shower available. The "outhouse" is not in any type of enclosure, it is just a toilet seat on a plank of wood behind 1 wall. A few different people (who were not introduced to us upon arrival but lived on the property, I guess) came from out of the woods and walked thru our campsite multiple times in the morning. The only redeeming quality about this place was Stephen's hospitality - he was very friendly & told us a lot about the property as well as his plants. Also gifted us some firewood so we didn't have to drive back into town.

Camping here was perfect. The land was beautiful and the setup was so peaceful. Everything we needed to be comfortable was right there. Also we had some very cute and friendly neighboring doggies that hung out with us :) Taylor was also so sweet and very helpful!

This was a surprisingly wonderful place to camp. It's a nice little community, the residents were friendly, there was electricity available (at least at my site), and plenty of amenities that I would normally expect at a professional campsite. At the same time, you will get your privacy, and have a great experience.

Stephen greeted me when I arrived and I got to meet his cute little goats! He showed me back to the campsite and I parked my camper van next to the beautifully decorated bus! He walked me through the site and we had a lovely conversation about the property and the area! It was my first stop on my trip from Phoenix to Saguaro and it couldn't have been more perfect! I highly recommend stopping by and staying on your travels!

The site was beautiful, quiet and secluded. Had a very good conversation with Stephen on the day I arrived. It has a nice shaded area next to the tent site area and everything is pretty clean. I would definitely come and stay next time. It's an hour away from Saguaro National Park, which I came to explore on both the days I stayed here. It was very convenient.
I spoke to three awesome people who rented the yurt. They have invited me to take a look inside. I really liked it and would like to try next time.

Our stay was ok. Wish the host was there to greet us like the instructions say.
We had to find our own way. It looked like alot of work may be being done, so the water features and things in the add were not running.
Overall it served the purpose, but we did not spend much time at the site.

Absolutely beautiful area. Steve has been on the land for many years and his love and care for it is evident. He has a lovely little wading pool with running water that he turned on for my daughters. It was a beautiful spot for them to play while I did yoga. And the neighbors beautiful horses were an extra visual delight.

We loved our stay at the Rainbow Campsite! Super cute and rustic. Taylor was so helpful and was quick to communicate with us if we had a question. Her grandfather gave us a tour and was so nice. We would live to stay again in the future!

My family did a week road trip out to Tucson in a camper van and this was by far our favorite camp spot. It’s quiet, private, and so peaceful. We loved the stream. It was nice to set up a hammock right next to it and just soak it all in. Or just put our feet in it to cool down. My 12 year old daughter said her favorite part of the whole trip was hanging out with the resident dogs that came to visit us at our site. She also enjoyed saying hi to the horses next door from the road. Some goats and their babies came passing through the sites. Lots of things to explore and experience here.

Easy and fun! Glad we had the whole space to ourselves and grateful for the relaxed atmosphere. Lots of family memories made. The water feature kept the kids busy (watch out for the cholla near the top!) and the highlight must have been when a bull strolled on over while we were making s’mores for a drink from the fountain. Ghost stories have nothing on him. 😂

The campsite (one of only two available) itself was fine for my vehicle and vintage ‘canned ham’ travel trailer. A mature Palo Verde tree gave some nice shade for lawn chairs The extended grounds and features were accessible by a walking trail.
I think as long as one is of the organic, hippie ethic the gardens, showers, sauna, water feature and such are fun to see and experience. The property is the result of 40 years of hard handywork and vision of the owner and family.

Really enjoyed staying at the Rainbow Campsite. Such a beautiful, welcoming space. We loved the shaded site and the property was so very interesting. The nearby goats and horses were a treat as well as all of the varieties of birds. The outhouse was interesting and we enjoyed the experience. The hot showers and friendly people were a great addition. Stephen is such an interesting person. Make sure you spend some time chatting with him. The nearby hikes were spectacular. We also visited the nearby Biosphere 2. I highly recommend it. It’s well worth it. Be sure to stop by the nearby Cadillac Chaparral for a cheap, but strong drink and maybe dinner. Will be back.

We loved it! Gramps was a great a great camp host. Everything was super chill. Great hot shower and cool site with fire pit, good shade, picnic table and plenty of space for our tents and tables, etc. Would recommend!

Rainbow Campsite is a cute, eclectic property which promotes its campers to connect with nature and art. We had unfortunate luck with the rainy weather but there are plenty of roofed areas where campers can dodge the rain while it passes. The only confusion we had was HipCamp advertises a kitchen for the campsite but we discovered it is located in the Airbnb on property which is also rented out. Definitely bring your own food, coolers, camp stoves, and utensils! Other than that, our group had an amazing time on a beautiful campsite! If we’re ever back in Tucson we’d love to visit again.

DREAM STREAM CAMPSITE
This is a great spot if you’re in your young 20s and want to party. If you’re looking for a peaceful time in nature this may not be the right spot for you (and me). I would have rather dispersed camp at one if the many pull offs in the area.

This is a great place to get away! I was welcomed by a family member and shown to my campsite by the Dream Stream and then gave me a tour of the property. White Wolf came by later to meet me and he brought me up near the house to get me some firewood where we talked about the camp and life adventures. He’s a gentle and friendly spirit with a heart for helping people. The fire at night under the star-filled sky and the sound of the stream made for an awesome stay! Unfortunately I had to leave a day early but would have loved to enjoy another one of those nights.

The hosts were lovely and helpful (four leggers and two leggers). The setting was quiet and serene. They've put a lot of little artsy touches to really make the dream stream and adjoining sites beautiful and unique! We will definitely be coming back for more time next to the stream!

Staying a Dream Stream Campsite was awesome and perfect for a little getaway with my girlfriends. Wolf received us and guided us to our campground. It was for a group of people (5) we had 3 (2 person) tents and still had a lot of space for our fire pit and food tables. We also had the bathroom available for us. The Sauna was a perfect way to end our afternoon the second night we stayed. We had some christmas lights in the tree next to the stream which made it really cozy and easy to see at night in that area. I recommend to go explore the area for a day walk. The sunsets were beautiful. In this specific site we had an extension connected to the stream which we use to connect the pump for our inflatable mattresses (very glamping). Super recommended for first time campers and/or if you want a subtle camping experiences and fresh air. We will definitely come back!

A wonderful time! We have been a little nervous camping with littles but this place was great. So many interesting things to explore. I love how there was so much to offer but still wasn't glamping. One of the highlights was the sauna, but not in the way I expected. This sounds fancy, but while enjoyable it wasn't fancy. We had to figure it out and get it going on our own and we really enjoyed that process. Felt far more rewarding. Also, loved the stream, it really was a dream :)
Super cool visiting the animals. The hosts are friendly and helpful but also not around much, which is nice when trying to get away. Very kid friendly! Have already recommended to friends.

This place is super special and we cannot wait to come back... hopefully to stay longer! Stephen was a joy to talk with and we enjoyed hearing about the history of the property. Our campsite was incredibly clean and well maintained and we loved all the desert vegetation surrounding our site.

We came in late for a one night stay and had a wonderful experience. White Wolf was a great host. Plenty of space and privacy. Beautiful area for stargazing. We wish we had a chance to stay there longer!
