This is a peaceful campsite in the middle of North Americas largest Joshua Tree forest. The camp is nestled in the mojave desert in Mohave county, Arizona. Here you'll find an abundance of desert wildlife and mountain views in every direction. There's 3 options to choose from: Ramblin' Rabbits Den (camp 1) - huge site with playground, elevated mound with panoramic mountain views, shaded dining area, and 2 private trails. Ravens Rockaway (camp 2) smaller and more basic site, but still has great views and 1 private trail. Rabbit & Raven (both sites + entire 40 acres). Come and explore this huge property and immerse yourself in nature!

Camp 1 is the larger of two private camps, both set on opposite corners of a secluded 40-acre property, with plenty of space between camps for privacy. Set in the heart of the world’s largest Joshua Tree Forest, this camp offers sweeping desert solitude, 50-mile views toward California, mountain views in every direction, and some of the darkest night skies around. There’s an acre cleared for camping, whether you’re bringing a tent, trailer, or camper van, plus lots of fun things to do. This is the smaller of 2 campsites situated on opposite corners of a 40 acre private property. Although camp 2 has fewer amenities than camp 1, it still has epic mountain views, a private outhouse, and 1 private nature loop leading to a secret sculpture garden. Wildlife is abundant out here. You might spot a black-tailed jackrabbit bounding through the desert brush, or hear coyotes howling in the distance. On a clear night, look out for shooting stars, rockets, or maybe even a UFO! ⭑🛸๋⭑ There's an outhouse with a pit toilet, a picnic table and a fire pit with a grill. Other than that, there aren't any amenities here, so come prepared and bring plenty of water! We do not have garbage disposal facilities on site, so please take all trash and recyclables with you when you leave. No wifi here, but most major phone services work great. The campsite is 5 miles from a paved road, the dirt road can be sandy in spots. Please note - the sculpture garden is located inbetween the 2 camps, and is the only shared place. Please check out our 3rd site if private access to ALL trails + sculpture garden is what you're after!

Explore 3 private nature trails looping over 40 acres, surreal starry nights, and so much more on this huge property! Camp 1 (Rabbit) and Camp 2 (Raven) sit on opposite sides of the property, each with its own private trails. The sculpture garden is the only shared space between the two camps... but when you book Rabbit & Raven - it’s ALL yours (great if you want to do a photo shoot, or have a reactive dog). Rabbit and Raven is an ideal setup for larger groups traveling with multiple vehicles, giving everyone space to spread out while still sharing the experience. It's also perfect for smaller groups / solo travellers craving something quieter, without having to worry about crossing paths with another soul. Rabbit is larger, with more amenities + shade. Raven is smaller but quirky with great views. Together, they give you the best of both worlds - 2 camps, 3 trails, 1 magical 40-acre desert escape. Stay in a lovingly renovated vintage camper set on 15 private acres in the heart of a peaceful Joshua tree forest. With mountain views in every direction, including the nearby Hualapai Mountains and rugged Mohave ranges. The camper comfortably sleeps 2 guests. A private pit toilet is located about 10 yards from the camper. Inside you’ll find: ✧ a comfortable full-size bed with freshly laundered linens ✧ a cozy dining booth ✧ a tea and coffee station ✧ solar lighting ✧ a mini 6-string guitar ✧ card games We are off-the-grid, so please remember to bring all the food and water you will need for your stay. We are not currently set up for cooking, though an outside kitchen is something we are working toward. Currently, there is a fire pit with a grill for you to bring something to grill (you will also need to bring your own plates and cutlery). Step outside the camper and explore your own private nature trail, perfect for spotting desert wildlife. The trail winds through the Joshua trees and leads to an on-site sculpture garden at the back of the property. You might spot a black-tailed jackrabbit bounding through the desert brush, or hear coyotes howling in the distance. On clear nights, keep an eye out for shooting stars, rockets launched from Space Force Base in California, or perhaps even a UFO! ⭑🛸๋⭑ Additional options: • Up to 2 extra guests may join by selecting the “Bring a Tent” option at checkout • Pets welcome — $15 pet fee per pet (you must add the pet fee in the "extras" option at checkout) **Other Important Information:** There is no garbage disposal available; please take all trash and recyclables with you when you depart. We tent camped here at Raven's Rockaway with our dogs! There's absolutely no one around. Feels private and cozy. There's a picnic table and two chairs. The pit toilet was clean but I would be sure to bring tp/baby wipes with you! There's also little sticky plants that get on low to the ground pets, so be sure to have a brush. Wpuld definitely recommend staying here though. The sunsets were magical! And it's only an hour from Lake Havasu.

Absolutely stunning camping spot!! It's totally private (unless someone is also staying in the camper), stunning views for both sunrise and sunset, and a great landscape to wander around. The walking path to the sculpture garden is clearly marked and Abi sent excellent directions to find the place, though Google maps was pretty accurate as well. I loved the little bit of solar lighting installed, and the vault toilet is super cute and open air, so you can look at the stars and moon while you use it 🥰 the fire pit and chairs around it were lovely and there's tons of kindling all around. 100% recommend and would stay again!

My friend and I tent camped here for a couple nights. It was well maintained and gorgeous! Great spot for sunrise, sunset, and star gazing. We enjoyed all the little trails. The bathroom was super clean and comfortable to use. Abi was very helpful when providing directions to the site and and other times as well. The last bit of the trek to the site has washboard roads. We took our time and were fine getting there. It did make us want to just stay at the site rather than go back to the main road to find hiking and other things. Great spot to just be!

If I could give Abi a million stars for hosting an amazing property, I would! Very well kept, amazing views (desert land/plants, sunset, night sky, sunrise, all of it!), beautiful artwork and mini trails, basically more than anyone can ask for at a campsite. My husband, dogs and I enjoyed camping here so much we plan to visit again. It was nice that the whole area was to ourselves, it felt very private and safe. Would definitely recommend!

Such a special spot. I slept out under the desert stars in complete solitude (except for the company of jackrabbits and Joshua Trees). Place has vibey but not excessive artistic touches—perfectly representative of the environment. Good spot to camp and have a small fire. I really enjoyed my stay!

Oh my goodness this place! It was heaven! You need to be comfortable being remote because it really is just you. But the stars are so beautiful, the sunset was stunning and there is something so special about the peace it brings being so secluded. Roads are pretty rough getting to the camp but worth every bump aha.

Making the trip along Route 66 and wanted a camp ground and found this super private property with picnic table, fire pit and fun art sculptures! My wife and the dogs loved roaming the property and exploring around! The time we went provided a beautiful purple sunset, did have alittle bit of rain but that didn’t stop us! Very much recommend this inexpensive, get away camp site! Thank you!

This is the most cared for hipcamp I've ever stayed at. The attention to detail was amazing, the decorations are beautiful and unique. Abi is so friendly as well, very communicative and willing to help with any issues. This is my favorite hipcamp and I definitely plan on returning to soak up some more of that Mojave Magic ✌️❤️🦊

We tent camped for 3 nights and it was absolutely beautiful! It was pretty hot during the days so definitely recommend bringing extra sun shades / canopy’s. Very quiet and secluded which we loved. The sunsets and stars were amazing. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful, charming campgrounds. Albeit feeling like “the middle of nowhere” once you brave the rumble of the dirt road you’re greeted by lit Joshua trees and a lovely common area. It was so quiet! Toilet is clean, with a lovely view. Will certainly book again if I’m ever needing a place while cruising the 40.

There is camping and there is the elevated experience that Abi offers. The site is more than we hoped for: - The small kitchen and shade area was whimsical and practical. It felt like we were having dinner on a friend's patio. - The outhouse was cleaner than any trail or state park bathroom I've ever used. - The raised campsite area creates an ideallic view of sunsets and purple mountains and a platform for stargazing by the fire pit. - We loved the nature trails that looped around the property. They enhance the desert experience. Our dogs loved all of the new smells and the freedom that most campsites do not afford them. - There was so much creativity on this property: hidden curiosities everywhere you looked, warm desert colored designs. - The campsite was very easy to get to, we live a few hours away and just wanted some unwind time. We had full phone service the whole time. Abi's property sings while other campsites are unremarkable. She has found a way to convey everything there is to love about the desert - it's life, it's colors, it's creativity, it's freedom. Truly, my husband and I will be talking about this two night experience for the rest of our lives.

We really enjoyed camping on Abi's land! There were lots of flat spots for our two tents, plenty of room to park our car, and lots of fun areas to explore. We enjoyed the table with fairy lights for dinner and explored some of the trails in the daylight. The outhouse was super convenient. Abi gave us excellent directions so finding the property was easy. Our Corolla did fine on all of the roads, we just took it slow on some very sandy sections. We would definitely stay here again! :)

We loved it! We unfortunately were only passing through so we got there pretty late and had to leave fairly early but we woke up at sunrise and were able to watch the sun come up over the desert which was unbelievable. Very beautiful spot and easy to find even at night! Would absolutely come back for a longer trip.

I loved it. You can tell the host has put a lot of love and pride into the property. Perfect fire pit and the raised area where the tents go up helped provide a great view of the surrounding area. ❤️❤️ Tip to those not used to the desert (me) foraging for fire wood was harder than usual. But again I’m used to camping in the woods. 😂 I will definitely book this location again when the weather cools.

The spot is by far still my favorite of anywhere I've stayed before! The owners have added a new sculpture garden that is so cool and there is even a slide! The new trails are perfect as well. SUPER secluded space! You may see a car in the far distance occasionally but this is the perfect spot if you don't want to see anyone or be seen! It is the perfect escape from busy life. The views at this location are unmatched as well. You can see down the valley for miles and the sunsets are gorgeous!
