You get exclusive access to entire 20 acre property to explore at your leisure - total privacy! This campsite is nestled in the middle of the worlds largest Joshua Tree forest with 50 mile views down the valley to California. Mountains in every direction and sandy open space to set up your tent, trailer or whatever you're rolling with. There's an acre cleared out for camping, and an elevated mound with panoramic views for incredible sunsets, sunrises and stargazing. Nature trails loop around this unit, and you are welcome to explore. There's an outhouse with a pit toilet, a dining area with a shade stucture and a large fire pit with a grill. Other than that, there aren't any amenities here, so come prepared and bring plenty of water! Other Things To Note: 🌵 There's no garbage disposal, please take all trash and recycables with you when you leave. 🌵 No wifi here, but most major phone services work great. 🌵 The campsite is 5 miles from a paved road, the dirt road can be sandy in spots. 🌵 Please put the correct amount of people in your group when booking. If your group is larger than 4 adults, use the "Bring An Extra Tent" option to get the correct price. Thank you☺

Experience the majestic beauty of the Mojave Desert on your own private campsite. The campsite is in a Joshua tree forest, spans over 10 acres and has 1 private nature trail leading to a sculpture garden (work in progress!) With 50 mile views down the valley to California, mountains in every direction and sandy open space to set up your tent, trailer or whatever you're rolling with! ⁺₊⋆ ☾ 𓃦 ⋆⁺₊⋆ Wildlife is abundant out here. You might spot a black-tailed jackrabbit bounding through the desert brush, or hear coyotes howling in the distance. On a clear night, look out for shooting stars, rockets, or maybe even a UFO! ⭑🛸๋⭑ There's an outhouse with a pit toilet, a picnic table and a fire pit with a grill. Other than that, there aren't any amenities here, so come prepared and bring plenty of water! Other Things To Note: There is a rental camper on this site but is not included in this unit. If you would like to book the camper please select the unit "Ruby Raven" (we only accept one booking at a time on the same site to ensure privacy, so the other unit will be blocked upon booking). We do not have garbage disposal facilities on site, so please take all trash and recyclables with you when you leave. No wifi here, but most major phone services work great. Stay in a lovingly renovated vintage camper set on 10 private acres in the heart of a peaceful Joshua tree forest. With mountain views in every direction, including the nearby Hualapai Mountains and rugged Mohave ranges. The camper comfortably sleeps 2 guests. A private pit toilet is located about 10 yards from the camper. Inside you’ll find: ✧ a comfortable full-size bed with freshly laundered linens ✧ a cozy dining booth ✧ a tea and coffee station ✧ solar lighting ✧ a mini 6-string guitar ✧ card games We are off-the-grid, so please remember to bring all the food and water you will need for your stay. We are not currently set up for cooking, though and outside kitchen is something we are working toward. Currently, there is a fire pit with a grill for you to bring something to grill (you will also need to bring your own plates and cutlery). Step outside the camper and explore your own private nature trail, perfect for spotting desert wildlife. The trail winds through the Joshua trees and leads to an on-site sculpture garden at the back of the property. You might spot a black-tailed jackrabbit bounding through the desert brush, or hear coyotes howling in the distance. On clear nights, keep an eye out for shooting stars, rockets launched from Space Force Base in California, or perhaps even a UFO! ⭑🛸๋⭑ Additional options: • Up to 2 extra guests may join by selecting the “Bring a Tent” option at checkout • Pets welcome — $10 per pet (you must add the pet in the "extras" option at checkout) **Other Important Information:** There is no garbage disposal available; please take all trash and recyclables with you when you depart. Wi-Fi is not available, but most major phone networks work well in the area. The campsite is situated 5 miles from a paved road; the dirt road may be sandy in certain areas. The campsite has many spiky desert plants and is not fenced in - be sure to supervise your beloved pets and little ones.

My friend and I tent camped here for a couple nights. It was well maintained and gorgeous! Great spot for sunrise, sunset, and star gazing. We enjoyed all the little trails. The bathroom was super clean and comfortable to use. Abi was very helpful when providing directions to the site and and other times as well. The last bit of the trek to the site has washboard roads. We took our time and were fine getting there. It did make us want to just stay at the site rather than go back to the main road to find hiking and other things. Great spot to just be!

If I could give Abi a million stars for hosting an amazing property, I would! Very well kept, amazing views (desert land/plants, sunset, night sky, sunrise, all of it!), beautiful artwork and mini trails, basically more than anyone can ask for at a campsite. My husband, dogs and I enjoyed camping here so much we plan to visit again. It was nice that the whole area was to ourselves, it felt very private and safe. Would definitely recommend!

Such a special spot. I slept out under the desert stars in complete solitude (except for the company of jackrabbits and Joshua Trees). Place has vibey but not excessive artistic touches—perfectly representative of the environment. Good spot to camp and have a small fire. I really enjoyed my stay!

Oh my goodness this place! It was heaven! You need to be comfortable being remote because it really is just you. But the stars are so beautiful, the sunset was stunning and there is something so special about the peace it brings being so secluded. Roads are pretty rough getting to the camp but worth every bump aha.

Making the trip along Route 66 and wanted a camp ground and found this super private property with picnic table, fire pit and fun art sculptures! My wife and the dogs loved roaming the property and exploring around! The time we went provided a beautiful purple sunset, did have alittle bit of rain but that didn’t stop us! Very much recommend this inexpensive, get away camp site! Thank you!

This is the most cared for hipcamp I've ever stayed at. The attention to detail was amazing, the decorations are beautiful and unique. Abi is so friendly as well, very communicative and willing to help with any issues. This is my favorite hipcamp and I definitely plan on returning to soak up some more of that Mojave Magic ✌️❤️🦊

We tent camped for 3 nights and it was absolutely beautiful! It was pretty hot during the days so definitely recommend bringing extra sun shades / canopy’s. Very quiet and secluded which we loved. The sunsets and stars were amazing. Would highly recommend!

Beautiful, charming campgrounds. Albeit feeling like “the middle of nowhere” once you brave the rumble of the dirt road you’re greeted by lit Joshua trees and a lovely common area. It was so quiet! Toilet is clean, with a lovely view. Will certainly book again if I’m ever needing a place while cruising the 40.

There is camping and there is the elevated experience that Abi offers. The site is more than we hoped for: - The small kitchen and shade area was whimsical and practical. It felt like we were having dinner on a friend's patio. - The outhouse was cleaner than any trail or state park bathroom I've ever used. - The raised campsite area creates an ideallic view of sunsets and purple mountains and a platform for stargazing by the fire pit. - We loved the nature trails that looped around the property. They enhance the desert experience. Our dogs loved all of the new smells and the freedom that most campsites do not afford them. - There was so much creativity on this property: hidden curiosities everywhere you looked, warm desert colored designs. - The campsite was very easy to get to, we live a few hours away and just wanted some unwind time. We had full phone service the whole time. Abi's property sings while other campsites are unremarkable. She has found a way to convey everything there is to love about the desert - it's life, it's colors, it's creativity, it's freedom. Truly, my husband and I will be talking about this two night experience for the rest of our lives.

We really enjoyed camping on Abi's land! There were lots of flat spots for our two tents, plenty of room to park our car, and lots of fun areas to explore. We enjoyed the table with fairy lights for dinner and explored some of the trails in the daylight. The outhouse was super convenient. Abi gave us excellent directions so finding the property was easy. Our Corolla did fine on all of the roads, we just took it slow on some very sandy sections. We would definitely stay here again! :)

We loved it! We unfortunately were only passing through so we got there pretty late and had to leave fairly early but we woke up at sunrise and were able to watch the sun come up over the desert which was unbelievable. Very beautiful spot and easy to find even at night! Would absolutely come back for a longer trip.

If you like being alone in the world, this is the place! I think there was nobody around in 10 miles. Nice sunset, small private open-air museum.

I loved it. You can tell the host has put a lot of love and pride into the property. Perfect fire pit and the raised area where the tents go up helped provide a great view of the surrounding area. ❤️❤️ Tip to those not used to the desert (me) foraging for fire wood was harder than usual. But again I’m used to camping in the woods. 😂 I will definitely book this location again when the weather cools.

The spot is by far still my favorite of anywhere I've stayed before! The owners have added a new sculpture garden that is so cool and there is even a slide! The new trails are perfect as well. SUPER secluded space! You may see a car in the far distance occasionally but this is the perfect spot if you don't want to see anyone or be seen! It is the perfect escape from busy life. The views at this location are unmatched as well. You can see down the valley for miles and the sunsets are gorgeous!

We loved our stay at Abi’s place. Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. The views of the mountains and desert landscape were beautiful. Although we got rare rain 2/3 days we were there, we still enjoyed our stay. Abi graciously let us check out later to enjoy some non-rainy weather, and that time was the highlight of our trip. Abi’s a great host. If we’re ever in the area, we’d love to stay again!

Great place. Very quiet with lots of thoughtful touches like solar lights around the property. Sunsets were beautiful and stargazing is incredible. Host was communicative and answered all of our questions quickly. We will definitely go back!

Dilly Dally Den wowed us with its 360°unobstructed views of the desert and mountains, incredible stargazing, and unique plant life and wildlife! It felt like our own little hideaway, and the amenities and campsite area were well set up for staying out there for our long weekend. The eclectic artwork and bright colors throughout the property add a fun, exciting atmosphere. A heads up to future visitors, the unpaved / dirt roads leading to the property have a lot of washboarding. There are two campers on site; it didn't appear that anyone was occupying them. Also, the tent spot we chose on the dirt mound didn't allow for placing our larger stakes (11") all the way into the ground, so we'd consider another spot. We really enjoyed our stay here, and hope to visit again soon!

we LOVED our stay here!! after a stressful & long drive we were nervous about the winds which were reported to be up to 20mph in Yucca that night. somehow this campsite ended up being the LEAST windy place in town; when we returned from dinner at the indian restaurant down the road (trust me, just go there!!!), we realized that the wind had quieted down. the stargazing potential at this site is unreal and there is plenty of wildlife if you keep your eyes peeled. 10/10!!

Camping on Abi's land was an unforgettable experience. Far enough out there to be as silent as you can imagine, but not super remote. The directions led me easily to the spot, and the artful flair, and solar lights provide a warm welcome upon arrival. Make sure you are there for at least one sunset, it is amazing! I enjoyed walking around the property discovering all of the creative pieces, as well as being greeted by a small group of cattle on one morning. It is a bit difficult finding firewood for sale nearby, so come prepared. That was my one mistake. This one is a repeat for sure!
