The wood stove kicks out a ton of heat to keep you toasty while you sip on steamy hot chocolate that is provided for your enjoyment. Gather around the propane operated firepit in the backyard for some R&R. Bring a hammock 'cuz there are unlimited opportunities for stringing one up! Tons of activities will keep you occupied, including hiking and biking on the nearby Arizona Trail (just 1/2 mile away), or even sledding on your very own private 2 acre piece of paradise! What's even better is the property backs onto the National Forest, for unlimited enjoyment of nature. In the evening crack open a book, or start playing a game with your besties to close out a long day. The property is completely off the grid, making it very appealing to those travelers and adventurers who want to create a minimal carbon footprint on their vacation. The kitchen sink has a hand pump that draws water from under the sink from a 10 gallon water jug. You can refill the jug as needed from a hand pump located in the back yard. There is solar powered lighting and a USB phone charger station. There is no electrical power available. Cell service is available in the area depending on your carrier. The outdoor composting toilet is super clean with little or no odor. The cabin is located at 8200' in the San Francisco Peaks in the pines and aspens. Snowshoe or cross country ski, go sledding or snowmobiling, or just good old fashioned relaxation will make the time fly by. If that's not enough check this out:(a) it's just 5 miles to the Arizona Nordic Center for incredible cross country ski trails(b) it's just 18 miles to Snowbowl for chairlift rides or world class skiing(c) it's just 20 miles to the hip town of Flagstaff for fantastic restaurants, golfing, shopping, coffee shops and museums(d) it's just 60 miles to historic Williams with the Bearizona wildlife park and the popular Grand Canyon Railway(e) it's just 55 miles to the world famous Grand Canyon. During a snowy period, access may require either cross country skiing, snowshoeing or snowmobiling to the property from the main highway (approx 2.1 miles). If you get stuck on the road it will be your own responsibility. Please check with the owner a couple days prior to your visit to check on road conditions during the winter!

29 miles away you have Picacho State Recreation Area. This recreation area is about as remote as it gets. Visitors must drive 20 miles down a dirt road just to get to the entrance! That's pretty awesome if you ask us. Picacho truly calls to all hardy adventurers. It was a gold mining town with 100 citizens more than a century ago.
This park offers rugged desert mountains, colorful canyons, and the Colorado River. Keep an eye out for beavertail cactus, wild burros, the famous bighorn sheep and thousands of migratory birds. Hike through the mountains to see great views from above. Dip your line in the Colorado River to catch your dinner.

Site#1 has Full Hook Up - Running water, sewage RV Hookup of 30amp and 50amp electricity, for $45. Site#2 and Site#3 are side by side. They have running water and priced at $25. each. These two Sites are better for tents or a small trailer. A personal generator may be used but only during certain hours. These are lovely spots with shade trees, so pretty. There are lots of mature Juniper trees and some Pine trees that provide shade on the property. Often we experience a lovely breeze. We live a mile off of 260 on a rugged dirt road. We keep the Entrance Gate locked for safety and security.
We are located on 2 acres and have a garden and a green house where we grow a large variety of vegetables. We only accept trailers and fifth wheels of 21 feet or less on site #2 and #3. There is a Chicken House and a rooster and we have plenty of farm fresh eggs that are available to purchase.
0ur home is tucked away 1 mile off the 260 Hwy. on a rugged dirt road. First you will drive pass the Linden Valley Arena before reaching our property. The Arena was designed for ropers by ropers and is open from May thru September.
10-15 minute drive away is Fool Hollow lake, Show Low City Park, Safeway Grocery Store, Post Office, Library, and a variety of restaurants. Within that distance there is Boating, Fishing, Hiking, Picnic Areas, Large Dog Park, well equipped Playground area, Basketball Courts, Baseball fields, Sand Volley Ball, Tennis Courts, Racquet Ball Court, Horseshoe Pits, Disc Golf, Outdoor Exercise Stations, Walking Trail, Pavilions, Restrooms all the while enjoying the enormous, plentiful Ponderosa Pines. Show Low City Park Aquatic Center has 6 lane 25-yard pool with an adjoining leisure pool featuring zero-depth entry, Spray Fountain, Water Slide, Indoor Spa.
Show Low was named by the turn of a Card. A ranch of nearly 100,000 acres jointly owned by Marion Clark and Croydon Cooley a U.S. army scout. According to legend, sometime around 1876, the partners decided that there was not enough room for both of them
and one of them should leave. They decided to settle this issue over a game of "Seven Up" (with the winner taking the ranch and the loser leaving.) After the game seemed to have no winner in sight the game reached it's climax when
Clark said, "If you can show low, you win." At this point
Cooley turned up the deuce of clubs, and declared "Show Low" it is! Show Low
is a city in Navajo County, Arizona
among the lush green ponderosa pine forestland and along Arizona's Mogollon Rim at an elevation of 6,345 feet. Show Low is now the largest city in the White Mountains of northeastern Arizona. Show Low is also the business hub and marketing center of the area.

Such an awesome place! The owners are very friendly and welcomed us when we arrived. Bathrooms are very clean and the kitchens are extremely convenient. We enjoyed the hot tub as well. The location is gorgeous and the vibe is really laid back and friendly.

Beautiful camping with wonderful owners. There is a shower, clean toilet and nice kitchenette. It's about 50 minutes from Zion National Park, but it's an easy drive. I would recommend it :)

Tiffany and Gil were amazing and very welcoming! The campsite is beautiful and it looks even better than it does in the pictures. The bathrooms and the shower were very clean. I loved the shower and the water pressure was amazing. I would definitely recommend using the hot tub at night. It’s perfect for looking at the stars at night! I would recommend this place to all of my friends (:

The camping area is well organized with several large pull through sites. I have a 23 foot trailer but the site I used could fit something much larger. I was the only camper there so it was very private, but the sites are well spaced so even if others had been there it would not feel crowded. The surrounding land is mostly vegetated and you can only barely see houses or other structures (teepees it appears) in the distance. The 1/3 mile dirt road to reach the site from the highway is a bit bumpy and the site was a bit dusty (I camped on an exceptionally windy day!). Best part is the nearness to the Chiricahua National Monument. It was just a short drive for my dog and I to visit the NM. We also drove up Turkey Creek Road to see the wildlife (turkeys, deer, horses, and cattle) - no hiking trails there unfortunately, so had to view the wildlife from my truck. Overall, a nice camp site and pleasant trip for my dog and I.

Gil and Tiffany were tremendous hosts! Felt welcomed and they were positively engaging and I felt like family. Wonderful view from my campsite. Best showers I've ever had and kitchen was roomy and well stocked and easy to use. A wonderful Hostel feel to everything! If you are traveling for a Zion experience definitely stay here and if not make this a destination stay of 3-5 days and enjoy the spirit and vibe of this place and enjoy Zion as a bonus. Come stay HERE! I can't wait to come back. :) Safe travels to everyone!

Shirley and Keith's land was a really great place to stay in Yuma and I highly recommend it to anyone needing a short or long-term stay in the area. The sites are very neat and clean and affordable. I was pleasantly surprised by the wonderful area of the city and beautiful foothills.

We had such a great time during our stay here, it was plenty of space for our family and puppers! The host Jason was great and reached out to see if we needed anything during our stay, he also has a wealth of knowledge on places to explore and things to see in the area, which was great. The stars out there at night are absolutely breathtaking! Would absolutely stay here again!

We had a really nice experience here. Clean, quiet and a friendly host. We hiked to the top of the adjacent butte. It’s a gorgeous high desert setting for camping with nice cool night temperatures. We didn’t need to use the Utilities, but it was great to know they were there. Thank you!

Weekend Trip to Glamper Cabin in the Aspens & Pines
It was a really lovely stay. The place felt perfectly cozy. It did get chilly at night and the area had normal rural-y neighborhood sounds that echo (wasn't a bother), trucks, barking, kids playing, chainsaws and such. We had a few dogs from the area say hi too, but they were all sweet. A lantern died on us, but I recommend bringing your own lights as well, just in case.
It smelled great outside and the breeze in the trees was quite delightful along with the birds chirping away. The wood stove was easy to use and we didn't have an issue with water except it being heavy to haul. You'll have to go outside for good natural lighting and leave the inside for nighttime cozy cabin activities. It was a little difficult to wash hands and dishes in the kitchen sink (a short hand pump).
Overall a really nice stay, we didn't want to leave. I'd def like to live in a neighborhood like this. Thanks!

Site is outside of Tuscon, AZ, and the price, hookups, level ground, location all worked very well for us and our Casita Liberty travel trailer. Propane available just down the road, and besides Tuscon, other attractions like Sonora Desert Museum are not far. There are round tail ground squirrels just 30 feet off the site. They look and act like prairie dogs, just much smaller!

7 nights at Verde River Vortex
We absolutely loved our stay at Red River Vortex! Everything about it was perfect. It was close to everything we wanted to do yet the cabin itself is somewhat remote so it's perfect for a relaxing experience. Jason was an amazing host. He suggested many incredible places to explore and was very knowledgeable about the area. We took up several of his suggestions and we were very happy that we did. I would highly recommend Jason's spot and we plan to return when we can.
