This may be my fault but we struggled down very rough dirt roads and could not find the place. My F-150 was in no danger of getting stuck but the rocking and rolling busted some China in the camper.
There are no hard feelings, we abandoned the search and went onto the Homolovu Ruins State Park, which is only 35 miles west.

Car camped here for 2 nights to visit the Petrified National Forest. Amazing stay! Very quiet(I heard the train a few times but was really just background noise) and the stars at night were beautiful! Would definitely stay here again!

a beautiful area but need to off-road a bit to get to the camping area. if you have a lower car, might not be the best place. wonderful place to watch the night sky. I dont recommend you tent but camping in a vehicle would be better. Middle of the night I had some sort of animals sniff around my tent which was quite scary. However if you are in a vehicle, it wouldnt be a problem.

Our first camp site using hipcamp and it was amazing! You can hear a little bit of noise but mostly quiet and so beautiful! Follow the directions coordinates and you’ll be good!

Great place to stop for the night if youre self sufficient. Nothing else around except a few old RVs. There's a basic fire pit and a log with lots of open space.

Its a nice site on undeveloped land. There is nothing there so make sure to bring everything you need. But it is very quiet and the land was easy to camp in.

The other reviews are right in saying it's a bit of an offroad trek getting to the site but it was dry enough for us to not have any issues. However the people at the site next to us were yelling at us and cussing us out because they thought we were trespassing. We contacted the host but never heard back from him.

For the price you just can’t beat it! The road to get there is a little bit bumpy but we were able to find it with the directions Manuel gave. The sunset and sunrise was absolutely amazing from where we were. Definitely would go here again if I am in the area!

I arrived in the dark and after rain, so YMMV.... it was hard to navigate to - "road" isn't marked. The exact GPS was crucial. The lead in roads were SOOOOOOPER muddy and I'm glad I had my truck and not my wife's car.
That said, I LOOOOOOVE the seclusion and the price. A great place to put up a tent near the Petrified Forest or (like me) between Albuquerque and Phoenix.

As long as you understand the “road” to the site is a set of tire tracks through the dirt and grass, then you’ll be fine. The price reflects the simplicity of the site, so I have no complaints! It’s the cheapest campsite that is close (30min) to Petrified Forest National Park.

I was nervous about finding the camp because of the dirt road but it turned out to be a perfect hidden spot. It was quiet and just far enough away from stuff. I had an amazing view of the stars and Milky Way as well as a few shooting stars! It is definitely dusty but it was expected. We also brought our dog and had no problems with cactus or stickers. I would recommend arriving before dark as it’s hard to see where you’re going. Also going as two younger women didn’t feel unsafe at all! Overall, would definitely recommend for a recharge from the light and noise of a city.

Pretty isolated, though you can see the highways in the distance. Was hard to get to at first, but ended up being easy once I started actually following directions. Be prepared for some dust and wind. All in all, the perfect place for an isolated day. Liked the location, and appreciated that I had some service.

I enjoyed my stay here! Waking up in the morning to the view of the plains was nice.
Manuel gave directions for the land that and at first i had trouble looking for the land (I got there at night) but it was easy to find afterwards. Fair warning, the ground is pretty bumpy getting there but it didn’t mess up my car. There is a campfire there and there’s a log to park behind. The land has a spot that’s cleared out for the tent too. It was a quiet land and it was peaceful. I didn’t have any run ins with any wildlife there. There’s a fancy truck stop close by as well if you need to grab anything and they had showers too.
