Explore the Painted Desert wonderland to play around in and stargaze. The campsite is shared with Wild Horses, Pronghorns, Owls and Bovine that wander around the area. Look out to the south and a view of Petrified Forest National Park is right there. And when you're in the park, using binoculars, you can see the campsite from Pintado Point. Just search left from the towers. A fantastic campsite built by independent outdoor company @hetchyoutdoors This is a remote, private campground with a canopy, picnic bench and fire pit that relieves you from the crowds of hotels and RV campgrounds in the area. There are no predators or threats to worry about at night, just the the most stars in the sky you've probably ever seen. Perfect for our family

Beautiful and secluded with great stargazing. Ken was great with directions and we had a great stay with our kids in small tents.

Beautiful, isolated country! Ken was very responsive and helpful. One of the quietest and most tranquil places I’ve slept. Great car camping off the beaten path if you’re visiting the Petrified Forest.

Peaceful spot.

First time using Hipcamp. Easy process. Ken was great- communication was excellent, follower the directions to the letter, don’t trust your gps. Spot was very peaceful, just what I had expected. Would stay again

Open, clean and lovely sun rise

We usually do dispersed camping but decided to try this site so we would spend more time at the Petrified wood parc. The site was clean and open, we really enjoyed it. Beautiful sun rise. Many cows around but not close to us, our dogs didn’t seem to care. There was torrential rain overnight and it did get very muddy however by 9 am the next morning it was dry enough. It didn’t bother us as we are used to desert weather. We will definitely keep this site as a good place, and recommend it.

Great spot to camp to explore the petrified forest. Quiet and Ken's directions were easy to follow. Ken was also responsive for questions.

Great site!

Great site! Very clean - very secluded. Picnic table came in handy and we loved being able to have a campfire. Large area for our son to fly his model airplane. Ken was super responsive and directions to the site easy to follow.
