Coolest experience ever!! My hubby is from Maryland and he fell in love with Arizona because of this campsite! Follow Ken’s driving instructions and you’ll be good. We were first greeted by the sweet pups which we loved. Then Ken greeted us. Awesome dude!! The campsite was extraordinarily peaceful, beautiful, and rad. We cannot wait to return! Highly recommend!

The was a great site!
Good flat spot for the tent, good fire pit, shaded picnic table, and outhouse with composting toilet and hand sink (not potable) This site is very exposed to keep that in mind with the weather.
I had full cell service with Mint mobile (they use t-mobile towers)
The sky was INCERDIBLE! I stayed up way past my bedtime, but could see the milky way with the naked eye!
Very remote down a dirt road. Im glad i i had a higher clearance vehicle, but you could do it in a standard car if you take your time. You can see I-40, but couldn't really hear the road noise. Ken gave very clear directions to get to the site.

This property offered exactly what we were looking for, which was something off the beaten path away from the highway that offered a great view of the stars. The instructions provided at booking were accurate and straightforward. The host was very friendly and greeted us upon arrival and ensured we had what we needed for the stay. For an out of the way place to see beautiful sunsets and star gaze, this is it. Cute camper or tent spot. Fresh water but no running water. Toilet. Off grid.

This is not for the faint of heart. This sight is down some “this can’t be the right way” roads. But once you are there it is beautiful and peaceful. I would definitely recommend if you are up for an adventure. The site was well appointed for a primitive campsite that features solar lights, games and a water pump. Ken was responsive and quick with communication. My only critique is that the solar lights did impact the star gazing based on our expectations, but I have also never seen such a beautiful night sky.

super helpful host and stunning location...maybe not the best for tent camping unless you are experienced and prepared for the wind/dessert weather but 110% recommend for RV or car camping.

Ken has an amazing, secluded site! We didn't have any neighbors so it made it especially private which just added to the feeling of being "out there". The wide open views and clear skies were exactly what my family and I needed to have a nice get away.

The view of the stars at night was incredible! The road was definitely rough getting out there but it was dry when we went and I made it fine in my Escape with no 4WD so it was do-able. The site is isolated (some highway noise but it is distant so makes for great white noise) and well-maintained with some really great amenities: horseshoes, cornhole, a little putt putt green, fire blanket, roasting sticks for hot dogs/s'mores, plus an outdoor shower setup and compost toilet. We had an excellent time and plan on staying again next time we are in the area!!!

Beautiful wide open space. We were the only campers there. The horseshoes and corn hole setup was another plus. We did get a little turned around trying to find the place, but the clear campground signage helped. Extra tarps for wind proofing are recommended if there are any winds, but otherwise a great place to camp. We would love to camp here again.

Definitely private and quiet. The kids loved the wide open spaces and few lawn games that were there. The picnic table was great and we took advantage of the fire pit. The road is a little tricky to get down with a camper, but we took it slow and had no trouble.

The road needs to be graded again. The bathroom door, even when closed and locked, has at least an inch gap - this was not a problem since my husband and I were the only people there, but could be with other campers around. There was only 1 chair at the fire pit. There were some benches. Shower was open air- not private. It was unclear if there was water on site - there is, but not sure how long it had been in the tank so we went into town and bought water. I am not sure that I would say that the campground was as advertised.

Incredible place to make camp for the night and wake up. A little bit off of the main highway, but Ken gives great accessible directions if you are coming after sun set. Campsite is perfect and making dinner over the great fire pit was very easy. The little set up he has is perfect. Great to wake up and have short ride to the petrified forest. What a great place to stay.

Lots of space and beautiful views! Greeted by a few friendly cows on our way in. It’s off the beaten path, but Ken’s directions helped us get there easily, even with a later than planned arrival after dark. Our RWD van made it in just fine.

Quite iffy. Great for just crashing overnight. Didn't know other hip campers were going to be onsite until kind of last minute. I had to ask if host was on site because I saw additional car. Is understandable but I would have preferred a heads up. I was going to take a shower until I saw it only covered bottom down, which was showed in pictures and kind of would've been fine until I realized the showers were placed in direction of where host stays. I hope that wasn't the intention but just felt off so no shower. Bathroom was great with sink though. Like I stated previously, great for crashing overnight and just that for my preference.
