What a stunning spot in the desert. Mik was so kind, my original date had a forecast of heavy rain, and he let me move my camping day. The spot is quite close to Tucson, but even better just minutes from Saguaro National Park. The sunsets and sunrises are amazing, and I was greeted by a hot air balloon flying over in the morning.

This hidden gem is ideal for desert nature enthusiasts, as the campsite is nestled in a peaceful private backcountry neighborhood surrounded by beautiful saguaros and natural desert landscaping. The host was very welcoming and available if needed. The host left a welcome goody bag at the site for us, which included water and treats.
This part of Tucson is a dark-sky area, so there are no streetlights in the neighborhood, allowing you to enjoy excellent stargazing and observe wildlife activity. We saw a couple of javelina families with their little babies wandering around at night, saw some rabbits, and heard the birds and the occasional coyote at night. The host also mentioned that there are brazen deer in the area.
Our 20ft Lance 1685 trailer fit perfectly in the space, leaving enough room to park our truck next to it and still sit outside in our chairs to enjoy the outdoors. A grocery store and small shopping center with various dining options are only a 10-minute drive from the site. There is a slight dip in the road when entering and exiting the campsite, and the road is slightly tight when backing the trailer onto the site. We also arrived at night, so for us it was a bit tricky in the dark, but with our small trailer, we were able to park it just fine. Beautiful spot for the camper(s) who like to be immersed in peaceful desert nature landscape.

What a great spot just minutes from interstate 10. Very quiet, and secluded even though the owner’s house is nearby. I would recommend and will probably stay again!

Mik's place was great. Beautiful setting, easy access, and he was very responsive. It's a nice, safe neighborhood with enough privacy to be very comfortable. Be sure to enter the address into your map rather than relying on the pindrop location to get there.

The view was great. Mik was friendly and helpful. We got to watch sunset over the beautiful desert and were seranaded by coyotes. We will definitely be back !

We really enjoyed our two nights relaxing in this spacious and quiet site. We especially enjoyed sitting outdoors in our chairs with the view of the saguaro cactus and wildlife. There must be a game path out about 150’ to the west, one time we saw three coyotes walk by and later we saw five deer going down the path there.

Fantastic location!! Stayed for a week and had the most beautiful sunrise/sunset views! A few miles from Cave Creek entertainment which is a plus!! Super quiet evenings and having access to laundry was so helpful. Highly recommend and will make it a future stop!!

Mik’s land was a safe spot that has beautiful views! Wasn’t able to spend a full day there but definitely would camp again. Getting to spot there is a couple slopes, so be mindful of that. Overall a great spot!

I stayed here with my 17’ travel trailer. It was perfect for my early morning commute to work in downtown Tucson. The surroundings are beautiful - I saw my first Javelina crossing here! I put my truck into 4Low for the two wash crossings, and utilized Mik’s personal turnabout to get my trailer in position. The space itself is not level, but it didn’t affect me. Thanks for sharing your space Mik!
