I then made fire pit an after that I built an outhouse its a restroom so of the guest don't know what an outhouse is we tell them it doesn't take no water to flush. After that I built a wooden fence around the whole campsite from horses a cows get into our property. So that how I started a campsite. Now our guests love our campsite a some of them came back an we have a short hiking trail to the rims to overlook the whole valleys its beautiful to take pictures from there. Learn more about this land: Guest can pitch a tent or park RV within the campsite having access to own picnic table and fire pit. The Campsite is 10-15 mins to the Valley View of the Famous Monuments and close to Navajo Tribal Park. Access to Restroom (Outhouse) within the site. Guest can request Navajo Taco Dinner with Navajo Tea for extra cost to enlighten their stay here in Beautiful Monument Valley. Guest can bring pets as well. We are pet friendly and have one well behaved dogs name spike and diamond. Also we rv size will be 25 ft long .. 30 ft. Long is going to button out on the cattle guard. We don't have hookup.

We have a cool shaded retreat for your picnic in the Park. It’s a wooded area in a narrow, steep-walled riparian canyon that was originally developed in 1935 by the Civilian Conservation Corps as part of their larger Park building initiative. Located below Colossal Cave, there are spots to accommodate large or small groups alike. The El Bosquecito and La Selvilla areas can entertain up to 72 and 96 people, respectively. The Cowboy Campground and Cowboy Ramada can also entertain up to 80 and 100 people. All have picnic tables, firepits and grills. Restrooms and water are also available at the group sites. Didn’t bring your lunch? No problem. The Terrace Café has delicious grab-n-go Tucson specialties and other favorites, so pick your spot, relax, and listen for the birds to serenade your lunch. If you’d like to spend more than just the day, why not camp here under the magnificent Sonoran skies? Campsites are tucked among the magnificent saguaro cacti and mesquite trees in Posta Quemada canyon, an area developed in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Nearby activities include: bird watching, hiking, river rafting or tubing, kayaking, fishing, swimming, stargazing, and rockhounding. This area conforms to the Arizona Dark Sky initiative, and while we are not dark-sky certified, we've had several guests compliment us on our beautiful skys. When it comes to rockhounding, or amateur geology, this is a fantastic area for exploration and study. We gladly welcome pets, as long as you take care of all their needs, including cleaning up any mess and filling in any holes. Well mannered, friendly dogs may be unleashed from time to time. Please, PLEASE watch your small pets carefully. If you're traveling with cats, please keep them on a lead. There is a riding academy and boarding facility adjacent to our property, and a long pleasant trail allows horseback riders, hikers and cyclists to travel along the Verde Greenway into Old Town Cottonwood, a pleasant 30 minute walk through lush riparian area. Hawks Hideaway is a family owned property, occupied by a 3rd and 4th generation, mother-son team. Two generations have lived and died here before us and we are proud to be the custodians of this majestic property, full of old growth, gigantic cottonwood trees. A birdwatcher, or naturalists dream. Hawks Hideaway is a natural and secluded spot located directly adjacent to the state-maintained Verde River Greenway. This means you may encounter wildlife and pests associated with being in such close connection to nature. Hawks Hideaway is next to many miles of wilderness. We offer a RURAL, rustic camping experience. Our property is off-grid thus we cannot offer you any sort of facilities or services at this time & your cell may not be 100% useful. We chose Outpost in our name because we believe it provides an accurate description: a remote, isolated station, settlement, or camp located at a distance from the main body. Our property is 7.4 miles down a dirt Indian Route through a significant wash and while 4 wheel drive is ideal, you can make it in nice weather conditions without 4 wheel drive. Keith’s sister made it in her Chevrolet Sonic, for example. Large RVs may scrape along the way; we did with our 40' fifth wheel. Our 60 acre property offers a unique experience for those looking for a place to unplug and explore with plenty of privacy and room to roam. You'll enjoy incredible views of the Painted Desert, Gray Mountain, and the San Francisco peaks. The night skies will be unlike anything you’ve seen unless you have been in the middle of the ocean with no light pollution. Some important things to note about our property: Our property will always and forever be a Safe Place for all people. We hold no prejudices regardless of race, ethnicity, or creeds. Our guests will always be respected, loved and welcome and it must be that way with other guests. We are a clothing optional campground, which means you may be naked on our property. NOTICE: As a desert location you may encounter wildlife (nice and not so nice) while on the property hiking around. We have seen pacific gopher snakes, non-venomous snake that eats rodents and has similar markings to rattlesnakes, which are also present. A triangle head means venomous. Listen carefully while hiking around. Gil and Tiffany were tremendous hosts! Felt welcomed and they were positively engaging and I felt like family. Wonderful view from my campsite. Best showers I've ever had and kitchen was roomy and well stocked and easy to use. A wonderful Hostel feel to everything! If you are traveling for a Zion experience definitely stay here and if not make this a destination stay of 3-5 days and enjoy the spirit and vibe of this place and enjoy Zion as a bonus. Convenient spot to stop on way to Capitol Reef with hookups. Worked well for us for an overnight stop. Shelley was very responsive and very good communication. Nice amenities, even though we didn’t have a need to partake and the area was nice and clean.
