The sites are located about ten minutes down a dirt road off the main highway. The road is a bit bumpy, but high clearance and off-road vehicles are NOT required for arrival, but may be recommended if camping during the rainy season.
Nearby Parks: Our campground is a one-hour drive from Petrified Forest National Park and a four-hour drive from the Grand Canyon National Park.
The Space: We have the space to accommodate vehicles and groups of any size. We offer pull-through sites for RVs and campers and a drive-through road for tents and car camping. Please note that it does get quite windy in this region.

Learn more about this land:This raw land property, right at the edge of the Petrified Forest National Park, gives you amazing views of and walking access into the park (with an already purchased entrance pass) to the ancient Puerco Pueblo and the stunning views of Newspaper Rock.
Cell reception in the area is decent. I had access to TMobile data from the property the last time I was there though not all areas of the park have the same luxury.
City folk (like it seems I have sadly become these days) often forget what a beautiful starry night sky can look like. One clear night here and you'll see a sky full of stars, the milky way, planets and maybe a shooting star.

Outside of the Petrified Forest National Park in Holbrook, we recommend visiting Jim Gray's Petrified Wood Co. and the Navajo County Historical Society Museum.
Nearest gas can be found at the Painted Desert Visitor Center or west down I-40 toward Holbrook at the Hopi Travel Plaza.
In Holbrook, groceries can be found at Safeway and local restaurants include Camaleon Cafe, Butterfield Stage Co. Steak House and Mandarin Beauty and host of other Mexican and American restaurants.
Trucks do come down Adamana Rd to the storage facility during the week though you probably won't hear or see them much. The train can be a bit loud and obnoxious for some (or a something exciting for the kids) depending on how frequently it passes through so ear plugs at night may be advised.

Dope primitive camping and spot easy access with an suv or bigger. You can literally see petrified forest from the campsite he’s not lying— front row seats. The train being close was annoying but earplugs I think would make it fine. Read all the description and rules etc and you’ll be just fine. Brett gave great directions and was very responsive. The site was as advertised - dry camping with no facilities, but the price was fair. The train tracks are right at the property boundary, but we were prepared based on the reviews and in the end it the train noise wasn’t as bad as we thought. There were few trains that came through the night but since neither of us had trouble falling back to sleep it wasn’t much of a bother. If you’re a light sleeper this may not be for you,

Looks like a road you shouldn’t be on. Train ran by every 15-30 minutes just 50 yards from the fence boundary for the Petrified forest park where this camp spot is.
It’s a small drive to the Park’s north or south entrance.
2wd is just fine.
Room to stretch.
Trains were loud and awesome!
For $15/night we will look it up again.

When we arrived and got settled, we were quickly comfortable and happy with our surroundings!!! It’s such an enchanting, peaceful, kind environment. I believe that anyone that comes to stay will enjoy the beauty and nature as we did!
The animals were an amazing bonus!

Love, love this experience! First time camping with my two donkeys! Sara is awesome and so very helpful! My granddaughters were able to just wander the property safely, sometimes riding and others hiking. The setup is perfect and easy with the corral right in camp. We had electric and wonderful water right there! The ranch is fantastic and other guests friendly and helpful. We will definitely return!

Look for the post office 👍 I absolutely loved the landscape I camped in, full of all sorts of cacti and succulents, curious ponies, sly coyotes, and vistas clouds that make you pause and wonder. The road is like a cobblestone riverbed after the turn off for the spot on the right. There is something there to mark it. Absolutely loved it and would come back with more time and do some of the provided activities like pony riding. Thanks for sharing this beautiful space with me.

Everything is ready for a great family experience or just a get away retreat to take some walks and look at the clouds go slowly by. Sara was such a gracious host! Communication with her was exceptional. The property and campsite exceeded our expectations. We stayed at the Juniper Berry Campsite with E/W in our 35’ fifth wheel. Easy pull-in site that was positioned on a circular drive which made it easy to park and easy to exit. Our cats loved exploring the property and became curious friends with Hamish (Scottish Highland bull) and his companion, Little Fergie.

There is so much history on display here! A very interesting walk with mind-bending scope of time on display, it's very cool! Mostly flat open drives and walking trails, but worth a visit! There are also petroglyphs to see here!

The Petrified Forest was worth our time. It is amazing to see trees from millions of years ago that turned into solid rock. They were beautiful. There is energy in those trees. Nature connects everything.

This Park Rocks!
Petrified Forest is a beautiful National park to visit, from petrified trees to American history, it’s worth a visit for everyone! Just don’t pick up the rocks! (There’s very nice places around either entrance to purchase souvenirs without disturbing the environment)

This was an amazing trip! If you are a rock lover, crystal lover, or just interested in seeing the vast landscape its wonderful. Paved and semi paved paths make it decently wheelchair and stroller accessible. Must visit when in AZ
