Hiking and horseback riding trails lead directly from the property into Spur Cross Conservation Area—or take a short 10-minute drive to a main trailhead. Black Mountain Hiking Trail is also nearby and offers panoramic views of the valley. You can even ride your horse into town and tie up at the local cowboy bars!

• The landscape varies with the season—there won’t be green grass in the summer
• Please keep pets away from cactus—they bite!
• We’re located in a desert neighborhood, so please respect the nearby homes. My house and neighbors house will be in view from your campsite.

Our 2 accessible acres will give you 360 view of mountains, our Red Rock Roping arena, and a Saloon to gather under to enjoy cool refreshments, and a meal with your friends/family. Right outside our entrance going North on 80th Street you can hike over to the Grapevine Wash which is a short walk away from the Cave Creek Town Trail System for hiking and horseback riding, and if you’re adventurous you can hike up 2 miles of a 800’ climb on a gravel road/trails to “Mexican Hat” for an even more incredible view! We are a 30 amp full hook up (sewer, water & electrical) for 33’ RV’s and living quarters horse trailers. You will also have access to our community laundry area, with a large garbage can to dump a bag if needed.
Some suggestions for town; Grab some quick delicous breakfast and coffee at Janey’s. Or American cuisine lunch at The Horny Toad, a Mexican cuisine dinner while watching the turtles in the pond at El Encanto! Ofrenda, right at the end of the road, also has great authentic Mexican cuisine. Many restaurants to choose from all within a short drive. Bashas, Safeway, Target, and Walmart and Sprouts are all within a 3-6 mile drive too!
We have two turnout pens for horses. That are located right behind where you will park your trailer. They both have a cover that provides some shade, as well as running water. We do not provide any feed, so please make sure you bring some! We ask that you please do not feed any horses that do not belong to you. Or go into any pen that your horse is not in. For safety and respect :) Thank you in advance.

This property is located in a quiet Mesa AZ neighborhood, just North of Gilbert, and just North of highway 60. Higley exit is close to shopping and restaurants. It is a quarter acre corner lot.
The RV pad is built on the entire right side of the property from the street to back, so it's very private. It's approximately 1/3 of the entire property and made of decomposed gravel, accessed via it's own entrance, and set next to a private brick patio. It's separated via brick wall in back and on the right, along with vinyl fence, and pool fencing on the left.
The RV pad is generally back-in design, accessed via your 25 foot wide drive that leads straight up to a 14 foot wide RV gate. Your RV, toys, and tow vehicle will sit on level decomposed granite. Your RV pad is 80 feet long and 20 feet wide. In addition, you have approx. 20'x20' brick patio, gas fire pit, and artificial grass for chairs, table, and outdoor living space. We showed up after hours to Wild West and Scott put his boots back on to help us get all set up, firewood, propane, and sold us a 6 pack of beer. While me and our kids visited with the resident emus, he and my husband took care of business and he even gave us some tips and advice as new RVers.He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful to us! We will definitely be coming back to Wild West!!

I had another good stay at Red Rock Roping, while attending to my father in the hospital. Mel was super kind and generous toward me. And with it getting hotter again in the Phoenix area, it's very good to have electricity for my AC, and water and a good shower!

Heidi is a great hostess. Communication was timely, informative and helpful. The private spot is perfect for a small RV but still had plenty of room to park my truck, along with room to set up my table and grill. If you have a 30 amp RV bring a 50 amp adapter. Sinclair gas station 10 min to the east has a dump station for $15 making it easy to drop off trash and waste on your way out of town. I stayed for 3 nights with my dog and absolutely recommend this spot!

I find myself running out of superlatives when trying to figure out how to describe this wonderful family and their Hipcamp site. We planned 4 overnights to recharge and relax. We actually changed our forward plans so we could spend one more day here. Mel is a total five star host, the views and sunsets from the property are superb, the nights are wonderfully quiet, and everything around the entire property is exceedingly neat and thoughtfully arranged. We enjoyed one night in the common area (the Saloon) visiting with Mel's family and a fellow guest over in the bunkhouse and had a lovely time. The larger area is also worth the visit. We enjoyed the charming Carefree and Cave Creek towns and swam and worked out over at the Desert Foothills YMCA (15 min drive away). Heartily recommended!

Really enjoyed this spot. Beautiful views of mountains. Sunrises and sunsets. Quiet. The "outhouse" is really a lovely well kept bathroom with a great shower. After being on the road a while it's really nice to have a real bathroom and shower. Also access to laundry is great. And Mel is kind and accommodating. I think this will be my preferred place to stay when I come to the Phoenix area.

Not only does this site provide a safe, quiet place incredibly close to downtown Phoenix, it has Shimyrre and Boris - two wonderful people. Awesome hosts.
My ProMaster 3500 Ext fit very nicely; vehicle length 22', with high roof. Plenty of room on each side, probably about max for length.
A concert at the Mortgage Matchup Center brought me to Phoenix, and this Hipcamp was the perfect place to stay for that. It's an easy, low stress walk of about a half an hour to be right downtown.
This is a special Hipcamp to which I will certainly return.

Amazing space. Full hookups, level space and private location. We didn't want to camp at one of the many campgrounds with hundreds of campers. We were fortunate to find this hipcamp in a great location AND a pool. Hosts are very nice, friendly, yet gave us our space.
