Welcome to Red Rock Roping! Where you will be a close 3 mile drive to old town Cave Creek restaurants, bars, and shopping strip. But far enough to enjoy a quiet and peaceful scenery of mountains, sunsets and sunrises. Don’t forget to kick your feet up, and end your night to enjoy a wide open view of the stars! Also, keep your eyes open for desert critters such as rattlesnakes, tarantulas, scorpions, deer, road runners, bob cats, and coyotes. We ask please do not pet, catch, feed or leave any food out that will attract them. Enjoy them from a picture away :)
Our 2 accessible acres will give you 360 view of mountains, our Red Rock Roping arena, and a Saloon to gather under to enjoy cool refreshments, and a meal with your friends/family. Right outside our entrance going North on 80th Street you can hike over to the Grapevine Wash which is a short walk away from the Cave Creek Town Trail System for hiking and horseback riding, and if you’re adventurous you can hike up 2 miles of a 800’ climb on a gravel road/trails to “Mexican Hat” for an even more incredible view! We are a 30 amp full hook up (sewer, water & electrical) for 33’ RV’s and living quarters horse trailers. You will also have access to our community laundry area, with a large garbage can to dump a bag if needed.
Some suggestions for town; Grab some quick delicous breakfast and coffee at Janey’s. Or American cuisine lunch at The Horny Toad, a Mexican cuisine dinner while watching the turtles in the pond at El Encanto! Ofrenda, right at the end of the road, also has great authentic Mexican cuisine. Many restaurants to choose from all within a short drive. Bashas, Safeway, Target, and Walmart and Sprouts are all within a 3-6 mile drive too!
We have two turnout pens for horses. That are located right behind where you will park your trailer. They both have a cover that provides some shade, as well as running water. We do not provide any feed, so please make sure you bring some! We ask that you please do not feed any horses that do not belong to you. Or go into any pen that your horse is not in. For safety and respect :) Thank you in advance.

We have a beautiful 2 acre fully gravelled area to easily park your rig, up to 45 ft RV recommended. Access to home in residential property is a dirt road, but easily accessible. Property is quiet, safe and peaceful. It’s like being in the country but you still have fantastic cell service!
We have room to store up to 4 horses with our mare motels as well as an 100x300 arena right on the property. Fully fenced. Outhouse on sight if you are spending the day working with your horses and don’t want to dirty your RV.
Furry friends are welcome as long as you don’t leave them unattended as we have coyotes roaming as well.
Close to all amenities, 15 min to Cave Creek, 30 min to Scottsdale, 40 min to Phoenix.

• The landscape varies with the season—there won’t be green grass in the summer
• Please keep pets away from cactus—they bite!
• We’re located in a desert neighborhood, so please respect the nearby homes. My house and neighbors house will be in view from your campsite.

We are Kevin and Tammii. We moved to Mesa in 2019 to build our own “Field of Dreams”. In developing our property we added a Hip-Camp site to our vision. We’ve enjoyed hosting people from all around the country.
We’re can accommodate guests for up to three weeks and unable to offer monthly rates. We welcome families with up to two children. Pets are welcome, two or less, and we have a designated pet area for their use. There are two nice sitting areas, a laundry shed with washer, dryer, and drying rack. Internet access is also available.

Our site has a paved level concrete pad with 50 amp service, water, and septic. RVs are required to come with empty holding tanks because of the septic system. We can accommodate up to 43 feet in length RVs. There is a nice landscaped patio area with table, chairs, umbrella, and a privacy screen. There is also a propane fire pit available. Our site is close to Costco, Starbucks, local restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, and a mall. There is nearby mountain biking, hiking, and site seeing. We are 30 minutes from downtown Phoenix in a quiet residential area.

We have one RV space (campsite only-No RV) with full hook ups next to a shared beautiful pool and gazebo. Your RV space has a pedestal with three optional plugs: 50/30/20 amp plugs. All have breaker switches.
This RV pad is decomposed gravel and has it's own brick patio. Your RV space is separated via brick wall, vinyl, and pool fencing. The entire property is a quarter acre in a quiet Mesa AZ neighborhood, just North of Gilbert, highway 60, and close to shopping and restaurants.
The RV pad is accessed via a 25 foot wide drive up to a 14 foot wide RV gate. Your vehicle will sit on level decomposed granite. Your RV pad is 80 feet long and 20 feet wide. In addition, you have approx. 20'x20' brick patio for chairs, table, and outdoor living space. You can lock up your space via the RV gate, then come and go via the locked walk through gate. The area is great for your pups too! Additional parking is available in front of the RV gate if needed, or you can park on the street too.

This was a great spot to hang out for a bit. Jared was very accommodating and even trimmed branches off a tree so they wouldn’t rub against my roof. He was okay with me leaving the rig there for a week over the holidays which gave me great peace of mind. There was a good bit of traffic noise which was expected given the urban location. The availability of water and a 50/30/20 electric hookup was a huge bonus! If you are in a fifth wheel you may need an extension cord to reach it depending on where your plug attaches to your rig. I would definitely stay there again.

Ash Creek is a unicorn for remote camping on the edge of the Tonto National Forest. Andrew and his son offered us a tour of the canyon and we got to see all the views and learn about the history of the mining operations. The campsite we chose was flat and clean and the clearing was surrounded but trees and steep cliffs. With no light pollution, the night sky looked amazing and the sound of the creek created a nice ambience. We brought our own firewood but there were plenty of loose branches if you prefer to forage. I wish we had booked for more time here, because there is a lot to see and do, including hikes and mine exploration. I had no issues driving around in my Subaru Outback but would recommend reaching out about road conditions beforehand since some of the paths can be narrow or washed out. I don’t get to camp often but hope to be a repeat customer at Ash Canyon.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sherry’s! They had the gate open and greeted us as soon as we arrived. The place was perfect for our needs! We were visiting friends for a couple of days and this place was only 7 minutes away. The lot is level it might take a minute to get backed in if you are inexperienced. I was able to back my 38ft diesel pusher in on the first try! The owners are right next door if you have any questions or they will leave you alone if you wish. Full hookups are a plus. 50/30 amp service. Walking distance from downtown. We would definitely stay there again.

Awesome oasis in the city! Loved staying here and having a view of the neighbor's horses. Jared was a great host and super helpful—you won't go wrong here! I drove a 16' vintage travel trailer in, and there's plenty of room to turn around if you don't have great backing-up skills. Tons of amenities within minutes from the place.

Palo Verde Retreat was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, quiet, and incredibly relaxing. The site was thoughtfully set up with a table and seating area, making it easy to settle in and feel comfortable right away. The host even had lights strung up around the space, which I’m sure looked lovely at night… although I have to admit, I fell asleep before dark and didn’t get to enjoy them!
Overall, it was a wonderful place to unwind and disconnect. I would absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a calm, restful stay.

We had the BEST time camping at Ash Creek Canyon. It’s truly hard for me to find words or sum up our trip in a short paragraph. To put it simply, it feels like we only saw the tip of the iceberg as far as exploration goes in Chrysotile. We cannot wait to go back and learn and explore some more. Our stay was magical. Andy was a top-notch host, super accommodating with speedy correspondence, and truly just a pleasure to be around. His enthusiasm, love and awe for this land shined bright. He showed us around all of the land reachable via side-by-side and gave us a grand tour on the history of the abandoned mining town. There is so much to uncover there. Not only was the history fascinating, but the scenery was BEAUTIFUL… truly enchanting. We camped at site #2, Waterfall Pasture. We were perfectly secluded from other campers and felt like we had the whole area to ourselves.. which was great as we were camping with our two young daughters and three dogs (a rather loud bunch). We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend getaway, and cannot wait to come back. THANK YOU ANDY!

Warning...Locals break into campers and steal everything They also vandalize cars and rv's. It's a canyon with very few camping spots and the one that exist are right next to the road which atv fly by and make dust all day and night.. loud .. Drunks stay up all night getting rowdy... need a code for lock to get in...

Good morning fellow. Campers! I just wanted to post an advisory about bulldog canyon. Now I don't get allot of space to write all the details in this review but, on 5/6/18, I went to the access gate on usery pass road, I posted my bulldog canyon pass in my window and had time to watch two movies, after 45 minutes I looked up to see a sheriff and a Tonto ranger, eyeballing me, I was told to produce ID, and while the ranger called in my plate info and license info and ran every check known to man on me the sheriff stared at me with the look of death. After he cleared me, the crime I was told I committed was I had not parked 1/4 mile in past the gate. I was treated like a criminal when I had the proper pass. A simple " you need to move"!

I camped here September 24, 2017. Conditions were cold (the good kind of cold), and the campground was completely empty, granted it was a Sunday night. The biggest surprise to me was finding Rose Creek flowing, under 1 cfs. Beautiful setting for camping.

I stayed here for one night in July 2017 with a group of friends from my Yoga Teacher Training Program. Just down the road from Box Canyon Trail (which is an awesome 2 mile hike roundtrip and straight down the mountain), and about 15 minutes from downtown Payson, the campground is clean, quiet, and the hosts are as friendly as can be. We had plenty of room to practice at each site for our upcoming Practicums as a group, and they are spacious enough for 2 very large tents per. The sunset and sunrise views between the ponderosa pines are breathtaking, and the air is crisp, clean and fresh. Tons of hiking options, and definitely plenty of amazing outdoor vibes!

This place is amazing. My all-time favorite spot. I've taken a Honda Accord in, you don't need 4x4 unless it's been muddy.

The specs for this campground (above) indicate pets aren't allowed, but I didn't see any signs to that effect at the site, and my dog seemed to be welcomed by other campers. Also, if memory serves, there was potable water available there. Most of the campers were there for the fishing, which I understand is quite good. Watch the weather -- the bridge over the creek is low and can be flooded if there has been a lot of rain. Good space between sites, good hiking along the creek and through the woods.

Flowing Springs provides free, dispersed camping. The surrounding area is beautiful, especially in the autumn! However, some of the sites had trash in the fire rings. We also came across two campfires left burning, so make sure to douse your coals until they are cool to the touch to prevent forest fires.

This is a super sweet little campground tucked in next to the highway. It has two large loops of campsites with lots of water readily available and decent vaulted restrooms. We staked out the site on the turn of the loop so we could pitch our tents far off the road and hang up our hammocks amidst the trees. A short few minutes of exploring a path leading away from the grounds brought us easily to Christopher Creek so we spent a few hours "creek walking". We found some fun areas to climb around and a couple swimming holes. This is a great campground for both small single-tent families and big groups like ours! We will be going back again soon.

This campground is pretty big...I think there are 5 loops, possibly more. There are tent only sites as well as sites for trailers. Each site has a fire pit and a shade ramada above the table which was a great feature. We had a tent only site and ours was HUGE but set up pretty close to the road. Most sites are small but can accommodate a decent size tent and many are set away from the road if you want more privacy. Bathrooms were clean and we had pump water and trash nearby.
If you like exploring, there are a good amount of trails to walk, although there is not direct path down to the water that we could find. Playgrounds for the kids. Boat launch off to the right when you pull in with ample parking.

Great spot, make sure you get a pass first its not close. Views are great with lake access and many good camp sites.

It's a great site. It can be busy on the weekends. I would suggest getting there early to pick out a great spot. There are bathrooms, running water areas, Punic table on each site. The beach access allows for easy access with kayaks and canoes. There is a boat ramp close by in the campground with parking. There are trees for shade but you might want to consider bringing your own. The scenery is very beautiful.you must have a Tonoto Forest pass which you can buy online or at a gas station on your way out.

The tent sites here are amaaaaazing! Right on the lake with a small path down. We came at the end of December and had the whole tenting circle to ourselves. Really chill spot to kick back. Plus- there are Arizona trail trailheads close by so plenty of hiking. The vineyard section gives gorgeous views of the lake, four peaks and superstitions.

We've tent camped there on several occasions. It currently costs $3.00 for a 6 minute shower. Sites are OK, but not a lot of shade.

Came here on a saturday evening (early August) just at sundown for a hopeful night away from the city. Despite the very hot temps this place was jam packed, and trash littered the entire bank of the river. Turned right around with an armful of trash. Shame.
