Let us be your base camp for desert exploration whether it's hiking, riding, birdwatching, and learning. Come to Camp Saguaro and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the desert. Our friendly hosts can help you plan a great day, some of them even have their Certified Tourism Amabssador credentials. Please note: We are tobacco-free, medicinal herbs are legal and ok as long as children are not around.
What to expect:
We are in a rural neighborhood where most parcels are 1-3 acres, we have seven acres. It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote.
We have carved our sites out of the natural layout of the desert. There are many kinds of cactus in our area in addition to the magnificent Saguaro, and uneven areas when walking. We keep it as natural as possible.
We have a small "Mercantile" on property. This is our office, but we also have items you may have forgotten, and souvenirs made by local artists. Also available is firewood, and ice is for sale for your convenience. We have a small Laundry Shack (two washers, two dryers) 2.00 wash/2.00 dry. You'll need cash for these things, we do not take any other form of payment at this time.
Camp Saguaro is tobacco-free.

Do you like a clean restroom and a nice breakfast area on a well maintained property? Do you want to feel safe, enjoy beautiful views and know your stuff won't be stolen while you are in Tombstone? Then my place is for you! 18 and over. NO PIT BULLS. Good well behaved dogs allowed on leash welcome. If you want to bring a properly raised young person you can make your case to me and I will consider.
I offer 2 full hook-up spaces, one space is covered. Power is 50 AMPS! An RV must be under 12' to fit under the covered space.
I offer 4 dry camping options. You can book the Tent Cabana-The Shady Rest- listing or you can dry camp by booking through my Tent and Vehicle Camping listing. There are no exact designated spaces for tent/vehicle camping. You can choose where you prefer to camp. An extra vehicle is OK as long as it's part of your one campsite. 2 groups with 2 camp vehicles is 2 campsites.
I also have the Pool House, an indoor option with a power outlet, and it's close to the pool and restroom area. You can set up your bed or rent a full size bed which I will set up for you.
This is my private property, you and your gear are safe and secure. You can leave your campsite and go exploring, no one will bother your stuff.
I have WiFi and great cell service here. Please arrive by 8pm unless arrangements are made in advance. I meet with you and show you around.
I will greet you and show you around. I close my gates at dark. Once you are here you may come and go as you please.
I am located just over an hour away from Tucson and 25 minutes off the 10.
Dry campers- Off the pool area there is a clean restroom in my back garage and a sink with hot water. There is a breakfast room with clean refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker available for your use. Lots of local birds visit daily. You are welcome to visit and pet my horses and donkeys!

I've always adored the SW Hummingbirds and wanted to name the property La Hacienda Chuparosa. When we moved in, for the first week, every morning a hummingbird was sipping nectar from one of our plants in the front yard. We knew it was meant to be.

The pad has a 30 amp/120 volt RV box and a 20 amp/120 volt GFCI receptacle. No converters are available at this time. No generator use allowed anytime. The space can accommodate the small Class A’s. The site is 40’ long. If your combination RV/ Tow Vehicle is longer than that then there is off street parking directly in front of the entry gate. This is a pull in or back in site only and not a pull through. ADA sidewalks outside.
Other things to note: This is a local residential neighborhood so no loud music or partying- quiet hours begin at 10p. Children must be supervised at all times. Dog owners must clean up after their pets. Animal companions can be unleashed if kept within your enclosed area. No barking dogs left unattended in the fenced area. There is cacti in the garden so it recommended to wear shoes when outside. No restrooms available. Near several grocery stores, bus routes routes, and laundry mat in less than 1 mile.

What to expect:
We are in a rural neighborhood where most parcels are 1-3 acres, we have seven acres. It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote.
We have carved our sites out of the natural layout of the desert. There are many kinds of cactus in our area in addition to the magnificent Saguaro, and uneven areas when walking. We keep it as natural as possible.
We have a small "Mercantile" on property. This is our office, but we also have items you may have forgotten, and souvenirs made by local artists. Also available is firewood, and ice is for sale for your convenience. We have a small Laundry Shack (two washers, two dryers) 2.00 wash/2.00 dry. You'll need cash for these things, we do not take any other form of payment at this time.
Camp Saguaro is tobacco-free.

I offer 4 dry camping options. You can book the Tent Cabana-The Shady Rest- listing or you can dry camp by booking through my Tent and Vehicle Camping listing. There are no exact designated spaces for tent/vehicle camping. You can choose where you prefer to camp. An extra vehicle is OK as long as it's part of your one campsite. 2 groups with 2 camp vehicles is 2 campsites.
I also have the Pool House, an indoor option with a power outlet, and it's close to the pool and restroom area. You can set up your bed or rent a full size bed which I will set up for you.
This is my private property, you and your gear are safe and secure. You can leave your campsite and go exploring, no one will bother your stuff.

When my husband and I were dating in NY we confessed our mutual desire to get back "home" to the west. It made me fall in love with him even faster. So when we married we moved to Washington DC knowing that in time we would make it west. 5 years later, when the traffic and the politics has taken its toll, we made a trip to Tucson and fell in love with this charming property that exudes all the beauty and grace of the Sonoran Desert. We looked at each other as we walked around looking at the stunning Mtn. Views and the mesquite fence and knew we were finally "home."
I've always adored the SW Hummingbirds and wanted to name the property La Hacienda Chuparosa. When we moved in, for the first week, every morning a hummingbird was sipping nectar from one of our plants in the front yard. We knew it was meant to be.
So we added a couple of horses to our dream, built some stalls, and now are ready to welcome you to La Hacienda Chuparosa. We know you will find the same magic here that we do.

This one spot private RV pad is minutes from downtown Tucson, the UofA and one block from the River "Loop" Bike Path. It's within walking distance to superb local eats and The Mercado. The entrance gate is 12.5’ wide and is a drive in or back in site. This is an off street fenced and gated site that is easy to access, and is also secure, and private. Your rig must be fully self-contained as there are No restrooms, showers, or laundry available on site. Include RV size/type in request. TENT Campers MUST have their own portable toilets. Travel nurses are welcome. Easy access from the Freeway and Downtown Tucson. This is an off street fenced and gated site that is easy to access, and is also secure, and private. Distances to hospitals in Tucson: St. Mary's Hospital 0.7 miles, St. Joe's Hospital 7.8 miles, Banner UMC 2.5 miles, Banner UMC South Campus 5.1 miles, Tucson Medical Center 6.6 miles, NW Hospital 6.2, miles away from this address.
The space: There are full hook ups for electricity, potable water, sewer, and a provided fire pit. Property is in the city and at night you are still able to stargaze. This is a great spot for birders, cacti enthusiasts, and cyclists. Guests will have access to their own xeriscape garden. Be on the lookout for colorful birds. The pad has a 30 amp/120 volt RV box and a 20 amp/120 volt GFCI receptacle. No converters are available at this time. No generator use allowed anytime. The space can accommodate the small Class A’s. The site is 40’ long. If your combination RV/ Tow Vehicle is longer than that then there is off street parking directly in front of the entry gate. This is a pull in or back in site only and not a pull through. ADA sidewalks outside.
Other things to note: This is a local residential neighborhood so no loud music or partying- quiet hours begin at 10p. Children must be supervised at all times. Dog owners must clean up after their pets. Animal companions can be unleashed if kept within your enclosed area. No barking dogs left unattended in the fenced area. There is cacti in the garden so it recommended to wear shoes when outside. No restrooms available. Near several grocery stores, bus routes routes, and laundry mat in less than 1 mile.

Such a great night in the Tombstone Rose! It was well furnished and decorated. It shows Jenn and her husband take pride in their property. They will greet you and give you a lay of the land upon arrival. They also offered a hot cup of coffee in the morning and made good conversation of the different critters and ecosystem of the Sonoran desert. Well worth the visit.

What a wonderful haven in the desert! Karla’s place was absolutely perfect. Everything was so well-appointed, from solar lights to light your path, to wood in the fire, bonfire and snore ready. She had not missed a single detail. Also really enjoyed petting Rhett, the handsome young donkey.

Karla, the host was very informative and met us when we got there. Her yard is set up well for larger RV’s and tenters. The tenters have their own little house. She has the most amazing oasis in her backyard.

We loved camping here! Julie was so sweet and let us meet some of the animals. The bathroom was clean and the site was as described. The tent pad is next to some horse stalls, but our horse neighbors were very respectful while we were sleeping :)

It was an especially nice night to camp on the land near the farm because the weather was perfect and we were the only campers there. We heard the sounds of coyotes and guardian dogs and other wildlife all night - which I loved. Paula is so hospitable and great to learn from! We loved the farm tour she gave along with a detailed view of her craft! The guardian dog there is also the sweetest guy

Great set-up as described. Beautiful property: we saw lovely view of the city through the epic saguaros. Host exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Clean trailer with lots of thought put into the presentation. Kids able to pet the animals & space for playing catch ⚾

Double Hacienda is a hidden Hipcamp gem complete with water and electricity. Site one is spacious accommodating our 33 Ft fifth wheel. The host William had excellent communication prior to our arrival and met us at check in. An unexpected bonus is access to the pool and outdoor seating area.

We really enjoyed our stay in the Raven site at the Sanctuary at Sonoita Creek. It's an easy walk to the restaurants and bars in Patagonia and to Audobon's Paton Hummingbird Center. We also hiked on the trails at Nature Conserancy's Patagonia-Sonoita Creek Preserve, which is about a mile from the campgeound. It was quiet at night, the bathroom at the campground was clean and the outdoor shower was great. We will definitely stay again when we next visit Patagonia.

Weekend Trip to Epic Private 300 Acre Saguaro Park
This is the second time I’ve stayed at this property, first time was at a tent camp site and this time at the airstream (: it’s a lovely place and always have a good time here. The desert is beautiful and the hosts are wonderful!

We had a really great camping experience at Camp Saguaro. The camp is a fun, whimsical place with interesting nooks here and there - all with a nice amount of vegetation to allow a bit of privacy. Restrooms, showers and washing area is well thought out and cared for. We were also grateful for the opportunity to do laundry and enjoyed the store. The camp is filled with a fun personality. The best aspect we experienced was the great hosts. They had extremely helpful tips and inside scoops on the park and Tucson. Much appreciation for our experience!

5 Stars. The campsite called Flying Jewels at Camp Saguaro near Tucson was definitely worth the night. Great Host, general store, bathrooms, dishes wash sink with hot water. Each campsite is unique space with furnished table and nice chairs to enjoy the sunset. Stay here and spread the word. We would definitely return.

Camp Saguaro was absolutely wonderful. We tent camped for 2 nights and would’ve loved to stay longer. The hosts were very kind and communicative, and they responded to messages quickly. The site is gorgeous and the amenities are clean and modern. There is also some shade throughout the day which is a plus when it’s hot. Loved the tetherball court and other fun lawn games. 10/10 would recommend!

We came to Tucson to test out a campervan and are grateful for Sophia's campsite. The campsite has all the needed hookups and provides secure parking. We liked being able to park the van and walk to restaurants, the grocery store, and a paved trail. The yard is beautiful and peaceful and we wished we had more time to enjoy it.
