Welcome to Karla's Hummingbird Guest Ranch! Check in after 12 pm, check out by 10 am. My 8 acre private horse property is located in the Sky Islands area of South Eastern Arizona. Are you grown ups who don't want to be next to kids yelling and running around dropping trash and throwing rocks, or barking pit bulls chained up, or loud music and generators? Do you like a clean restroom and a nice breakfast area on a well maintained property? Do you want to feel safe, enjoy beautiful views and know your stuff won't be stolen while you are in Tombstone? Then my place is for you! 18 and over. NO PIT BULLS. Good well behaved dogs allowed on leash welcome. If you want to bring a properly raised young person you can make your case to me and I will consider. I offer 2 full hook-up spaces, one space is covered. Power is 50 AMPS! An RV must be under 12' to fit under the covered space. I offer 4 dry camping options. You can book the Tent Cabana-The Shady Rest- listing or you can dry camp by booking through my Tent and Vehicle Camping listing. There are no exact designated spaces for tent/vehicle camping. You can choose where you prefer to camp. An extra vehicle is OK as long as it's part of your one campsite. 2 groups with 2 camp vehicles is 2 campsites. I also have the Pool House, an indoor option with a power outlet, and it's close to the pool and restroom area. You can set up your bed or rent a full size bed which I will set up for you. This is my private property, you and your gear are safe and secure. You can leave your campsite and go exploring, no one will bother your stuff. I have WiFi and great cell service here. Please arrive by 8pm unless arrangements are made in advance. I meet with you and show you around. I will greet you and show you around. I close my gates at dark. Once you are here you may come and go as you please. I am located just over an hour away from Tucson and 25 minutes off the 10. Dry campers- Off the pool area there is a clean restroom in my back garage and a sink with hot water. There is a breakfast room with clean refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker available for your use. Lots of local birds visit daily. You are welcome to visit and pet my horses and donkeys!

We have a cool shaded retreat for your picnic in the Park. It’s a wooded area in a narrow, steep-walled riparian canyon that was originally developed in 1935 by the Civilian Conservation Corps as part of their larger Park building initiative. Located below Colossal Cave, there are spots to accommodate large or small groups alike. The El Bosquecito and La Selvilla areas can entertain up to 72 and 96 people, respectively. The Cowboy Campground and Cowboy Ramada can also entertain up to 80 and 100 people. All have picnic tables, firepits and grills. Restrooms and water are also available at the group sites. Didn’t bring your lunch? No problem. The Terrace Café has delicious grab-n-go Tucson specialties and other favorites, so pick your spot, relax, and listen for the birds to serenade your lunch. If you’d like to spend more than just the day, why not camp here under the magnificent Sonoran skies? Campsites are tucked among the magnificent saguaro cacti and mesquite trees in Posta Quemada canyon, an area developed in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. These grounds consist of 4 large areas, El Bosquecito, La Selvilla, Cowboy Campground and Cowboy Ramada plus a number of smaller areas totaling 15 individual sites. Camping Rates: • Tent Camping: $15 per tent/night • Group Site reservations: $150 per night (if you have more than 10 guests you are saving money compared to the individual rate!) • RV, Car, and Horse Trailer Camping: $15 per vehicle/night *Please note that Park entrance and exit gates LOCK at 4pm and reopen at 8am. For large groups, special accommodations may be available in regards to the opening/closing times. *All sites need to be booked in person or over the phone. The home was built by my parents in ‘82. My Mom was an avid hiker and outdoors person. She collected and planted agave pups in the yard and tended to them over the years. Because they’re watered and the pups are removed each spring they continue to grow to mammoth size. Once they bloom the plant dies. 3 have bloomed, producing 40’ stalks. Agave Americana. Learn more about this land: Nestled in a canyon full of giant oak trees , you’ll be amazed that you’re in southern Arizona. The dirt road is ideal for walks and bicycle rides. The property is 4 miles from the town of patagonia, just 2 miles in from highway 82. Patagonia lake state park is 9 miles away. It's a short walk to the main house, where you will pass a herd of Alpacas to get water from our well.   Book a farm tour and learn all about the animals and why we raise them.  We love to share our love of Alpacas with everyone.  You can even take some Alpaca fiber with you by visiting our farm store.

Love the drive here! Shout out to Ranger Rick for the good company and tips on the area. You follow the road as far as it will go until you dead-end at this campground. Not far from Mexico, be prpeared for random border patrol stops or drones obstructing the beautiful mountain views. Just one trail goes around the lake. It’s very easy but enjoyable and scenic. Staff at the dock are as kind as can be. Took a kayak out on the serene lake and enjoyed watching the bird species overhead. Free firewood was offered after they trimmed trees. Firewood is also available at the store by the dock. Lots of items there in case you forgot important items. Cold winter nights but beautiful sunrises and sunsets and warm days!
