Amy was very helpful with direction as my GPS was down. My texts and phone calls were answered immediately, great communication. Look for the lime green shipping container. The spots are just to the north of it.. The sunsets and stars were a treat. I enjoyed the solitude and quiet nights.My at&t cell coverage was trouble free. I stayed here because it was 20 minutes from the entrance to Petrified Forest National Park. I was surprised how simple hipcamp is to use. Highly recommend camp spot! Thank you Amy! Will

Petrified's Most Peaceful Place
HipCamp's direction link took us over an hour away from the actual location. The owner had tried to send coordinates but they wouldn't copy from the page to my clipboard, plus I originally assumed the click-through directions button would work. The owner did not know the area well enough to help when we were lost, and we were so far lost that even the guy who manages her property didn't really know where we were. I had my two young children and dog in the car lost in Arizona for over 4 hours. It was fully dark by the time the manager of the property came to show us where to go. He made a mention that my Toyota Prius would "probably be alright" but did not clarify why he'd said that. Turns out that we had to off-road a very long way to get to the site. And the tire grooves were extremely deep with literal bushes growing in between. I had to drive on the bushes to avoid having my undercarriage completely scraped out. This ended up causing severe damage to my car to the tune of $1,700 in addition to 2 days of missed work stuck in Gallup, NM. When I politely asked if the owner would consider refunding the $30 for hours of lost time and not being clear about the off-roading that damaged my car, she was rude and accused me of lying.

Petrified's Most Peaceful Place
This place has a ton of potential, but the road getting there is questionable. The turn to get to the spot is about a 45 degree angle. It is not conducive for any rig over 15 ft. We had to go off road and the shoulder along the side of the road is about 1 foot high. We almost tipped the trailer. We were towing a 25 ft travel trailer.
That being said the host is very nice and says she is going to get the road fixed to accommodate larger rigs. Until then, if you're over 15ft, take that road at your own risk.
