GPS coordinates for center of property: 35.0569703, -114.1537160 Directions: from Kingman: head south on i-40 for 13 minutes to Griffith exit. take Griffith exit. Turn right onto Griffith Road and drive for 0.4 mile Turn Right on Apache Rd and drive for 1.4 miles to Navajo Rd (unmarked dirt road). Turn left onto Navajo Rd and drive for 0.74 miles to Yava Rd (unmarked dirt road) Turn Right onto Yava Rd and drive for 0.17 mile and turn left onto the property! Property is easiest to find during daylight hours and highly recommend a vehicle with high clearance and 4WD as the road is very rough. jagged rocks and loose sandy sections. Please pack out all your garbage!! Lets be respectful campers and leave the sites looking their best for the next campers! WILD ANIMALS: - cattle, burros, coyotes are the main wildlife out here and you very well may hear them / see them at night. Don't leave your food out! IMPORTANT WARNING: - There can be rattlesnakes in the desert so please be careful and bring an anti-venom epi-pen if you can afford one in case you get bit by a rattlesnake. Be very cautious when lifting or moving anything, as there may be a rattlesnake hiding underneath. The Kingman Hospital is a 15 minute drive from the property. - some of the neighbors are not very friendly because they want to be left alone. They like their privacy! so please be respectful of them, keep your distance and enjoy the wild wide open!

Absolutely stunning camping spot!! It's totally private (unless someone is also staying in the camper), stunning views for both sunrise and sunset, and a great landscape to wander around. The walking path to the sculpture garden is clearly marked and Abi sent excellent directions to find the place, though Google maps was pretty accurate as well. I loved the little bit of solar lighting installed, and the vault toilet is super cute and open air, so you can look at the stars and moon while you use it 🥰 the fire pit and chairs around it were lovely and there's tons of kindling all around. 100% recommend and would stay again!

What a gem of a stop on old Route 66. We were greeted warmly by Shannon who showed us around and helped us find the right spot for us. She was very responsive to any of our questions. It was so fun to walk around the grounds and learn the history. The sunset was spectacular and the night sky filled with stars. It was so quiet at night, yes the occassional train but it felt far enough away to just be charming and it definitely did not wake us up.

My friend and I tent camped here for a couple nights. It was well maintained and gorgeous! Great spot for sunrise, sunset, and star gazing. We enjoyed all the little trails. The bathroom was super clean and comfortable to use. Abi was very helpful when providing directions to the site and and other times as well. The last bit of the trek to the site has washboard roads. We took our time and were fine getting there. It did make us want to just stay at the site rather than go back to the main road to find hiking and other things. Great spot to just be!

I had a wonderful HipCamp stay at Goffs Schoolhouse, right along historic Route 66 at the Mojave Desert Heritage & Cultural Site. The hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. The setting is truly special; wide open skies, a stunning desert sunset, and a peaceful sense of history all around you. Exploring the grounds was a highlight, with fascinating museum objects and artifacts that really bring the area’s past to life. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained, and the signage is helpful. You can hear the trains passing by at night, but honestly, it didn’t detract from the experience at all. I enjoyed one of the best sleeps ever, and with a pair of earplugs, it’s no problem whatsoever. Overall, this was a unique, comfortable, and memorable stay, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a one-of-a-kind desert camping experience on Route 66. :)
