Welcome to our charming cabin, built in the summer of 2022 from a simple 12X26 Amish frame. *Important note: Lake Rd is busy and there will be road noise that dies down after 11pm. There is a historic and active railroad line behind the cabin and you will hear the train pass through the day and night. Some people have found it cool or relaxing but others have not. Nestled on its own 4-acre parcel within our family's 12-acre plot, this cozy retreat offers a private driveway and setting for your getaway. New additions this year include a fire ring and porta-potty, adding to the complete experience of your stay. Just a mile down the road, you'll find access to Lake Erie, boasting a small beach and kayak slip. On clear nights, don't miss the opportunity to gaze at the stunning stars above. Your host, Brian, has infused the cabin with photography and treasures from his global journeys, adding a unique touch to your stay. The hosts philosophy is to not bother you at all during your stay unless you have a specific need or concern, so your stay is all yours. The price is kept low to reflect this a campsite rental, not a hosted Airbnb. With that said every effort is made to make things comfy. While the passing train adds to the rustic charm of the setting, it may NOT be suitable for light sleepers. Road traffic noise tends to calm down in quiet hours. Bed sleeps 2 but up to 3 welcome. Much history here, with the small town of stone houses, making Hurley a national historic destination. This serene is secluded on a mountain surrounded by trees with seasonal views. The campsite is neighboring 105 acres of beautiful conservatory land available for hiking. No true trails are available, but you can be adventurous and hike further up the mountain, arriving to a clearing, providing you with a lovely mountainous view. From the mountain, you can hike to a waterfall or even hike across a lovely plain field surrounded by mountain ranges on both sides and crossing the creek over to Historic Stone houses in Hurley. Within a 10 minute drive check out some of the local restaurants like Alebrijes, Hickory BBQ & Smokehouse, and the Hurley Inn where the movie “Tootsie” was filmed!. Hurley Marbletown Trailhead and Rail trail parking are only a 6 minute drive away! The town of Kingston is about 15 minutes from our site where you will find Bluestone Wild Forest, antique shops, restaurants, other outdoor activities! The nights are just spectacular as you look into the sky surrounded by a blanket of stars, able to see the many constellations looking like jewels on a black cloth. The sounds of nature and all of it's distinct calls including that of eagles, is truly an experience. And we cannot forget our other friendly neighbors, the wild turkeys and deer! We are very appreciative of this beauty and would love to share this sacred place with you. Learn more about this land: Feels like you’re away from civilization but yet close to all the Hudson valley has to offer. 15-20min from Woodstock, rosendale, stone ridge, Rhinebeck, red hook, New Paltz and Mohawnk short 30 min drive. The glampsite is a yurt with a fire pit and a full modern bathroom just a short walk away. For a small fee, you can also rent our bikes for riding the nearby rail trail or just visit the waterfall 2 miles away. Wood available for purchase. THE HOT TUB IS PART OF A MINI-SPA PACKAGE AAND IS AVAILABLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL FEE. Not only will You be relaxing, but also connecting with the cosmos through a 1 hr transformative healing session offered by the host for an extra fee.

My partner and I loved this cute cabin , right next to Lake Erie! It’s a great size, very clean, and had all the amenities we needed for the start of our cross country trip back home , including a buddy heater for the cold night. Thank you so much for the extra blankets too! We were perfectly snug. We wish we could have spent another night. We got gluten free pizza at Villaggio Italiano, which is right down the road — it was delicious! Couldn’t recommend this spot more!

We loved our stay. The cabin is perfect. We did not mind being close to the road or the tracks. Everything was very wooded and felt private. close to town and right by the lake. The cabin had a bunch of amenities that were not mentioned such as a gas grill and an indoor cooktop, lanterns, a cooler etc. Very well set up. We will stay again.

We loved our stay at Brian’s cabin. It was a perfect spot for a last minute getaway. We loved the decor and record player - we had a good mix of what was available and brought some of our own to spin too. The spot was between two houses but still felt private and secluded. Our dogs enjoyed themselves aside from some nearby fireworks around dusk, which thankfully didn’t last long. We really enjoyed being able to relax and watch all the birds and butterflies around the meadow during the day and enjoyed the fire at night. It’s conveniently located to the town park/beach and grocery store. The cabin had everything we needed and more. They even left us a little gift to make s’mores. We’ve already recommended to our friends and I’m sure we’ll be back soon!

Dix cabin is great! I would definitely go back again. It’s very secluded (about a mile off-road), far away from other sites- so very private, and had everything necessary for one or two people. It’s a nice bonus that you have access to all the campground facilities (including boats for the lake). The camp caretaker was also very friendly and helpful.

Me and my dog went out for just a night, the owners were so nice and helpful. The cabin is so nice and cozy inside and the record player and albums were amazing.. nothing like the Beatles and Neil Diamond to clear your head. They had everything you need if you didn’t bring anything. Great little getaway and I felt very safe. Take a trip you’ll love it

It's a beautiful secluded lake down a half a mile road. Just bring your own bedding and enjoy the nature with no wifi. The owner is helpful and the area is not far from Tupper lake.

Words cannot describe how amazing this location is. The hosts went out of their way to make this a welcoming overnight experience. We had wood for the fire, a fun gift bag full of everything we needed for s’mores, a camp chair, camp stove, food just in case, spices, a record player with tons of albums, a very clean porta potty and so much more. The bed was so comfortable and the location perfect for our overnight . Thank you again.

We loved camping at Whiteface Lodge until the day we left and the our neighbors next to us, swore at us and used the f*** word multlple times. Pretty sad you can’t even have a nice weekend getaways with your friends and laugh, without people trying to ruin it. Were we loud yes, but at 10pm we were quiet and respectful. We enjoyed ourselves the last few years, but now it is becoming to busy.
