Weekend Trip to Forest Treasure Island

Camp site was nice, Jan and her family were so welcoming! Our kids got along really well and they had so much fun! We went fishing on Norwalk River and that was fun too! Campsite had a nice sized tent and blow up mattresses for us to use! We also got t Fresh farm eggs from the chickens on property and enjoyed them for breakfast!

Stayed here for one night with a buddy and our four girls, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The girls had an absolute blast—especially playing with the adorable puppies, roasting marshmallows around the campfire, and hanging out in the spacious tent. The site was comfortable, well set up, and perfect for a quick escape. We’re already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend!

1 night at Forest Treasure Island

The Cabbage Tent glamping property offers a fantastic experience. A peaceful and unique getaway in the woods awaits. The host, Jan, provides a warm welcome.. Jan was incredibly helpful and provided amazing hospitality. The glamping tent is nestled in the woods. Comfortable bed frames and all the necessary amenities are provided for a cozy night's sleep. The property has a charming farm atmosphere. Roosters, chickens, and bunnies roam freely, adding to the experience. The play area has a swing and other fun activities for kids. Fire logs are available, allowing for a cozy campfire in the evenings. Jan offered fresh eggs to take away in the morning. The Cabbage Tent glamping experience exceeded expectations. The combination of nature, comfortable accommodations, and Jan's exceptional hospitality made for a memorable trip.

Weekend Trip to Humble Farm with Simplicity

Great hospitality from Mary & Victor. The horses were friendly to my dog & I. There are also chickens on the site as well. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the cabin. It’s very homey & cozy. I stayed for one night and going to stay for more whenever I need a getaway! Recommend. :)

Weekend Trip to Two Herons Farm

We had a lovely time at Molly and Diego's farm! The camper was very cute and cosy and provided all of the amenities we needed. Molly and Diego were very kind and friendly and checked on us after we arrived. The surrounding property was idyllic with the farms animals, bunnies and cats roaming around and coming to investigate us. The camper area felt private and the string lights were a nice touch while we enjoyed some drinks by the fire and listened to the animals settling in for the night. It was a perfect launch point to the Airline State Park Trail nearby, we would absolutely come and stay again!

Start your mornings with a delightful breakfast / branch made from the freshest ingredients, homemade butter and sour cream, sourdough bread and other heaven gastronomy goodness , please note that this service is for additional payment per person and upon request. Meanwhile you can still gather vegetables from our organic garden, savor our home-laid chicken ducks eggs and fresh goat milk (not always available) brew local herbal tea, (please inquire upon arrival, i will provide a dry herbal tea) and enjoy wild berries, apples, pears, mushrooms, wild nuts and figs from the forest (fruits available July to October). Wild ramson or wild garlic is available spring time (early March-May). You need to harvest it. Our property is home to friendly rabbits, exotic and various breeds of chickens, ducks, goats, goose, peacocks, pigs, dogs, and cats. We happily welcome your four-legged friends too! (Please contact us with details of your dog.) As we also have puppies of purebred German Shepherd , lets talk if you would like to get one . For children aged 2 to 13, we offer a wonderful playland with organic sand, ample space to explore, a treehouse, and other playground obstacles. Meanwhile, adults can immerse their feet in a river stone bath for a natural massage and enjoy the aroma of cedar wood. Professional masseur is available upon request for additional payment. I bet you never had it better 🤩. Additionally, a little creek runs through the property close by for a 3-5 min walk. Our residence is located in a prestigious town in Connecticut, just 15 minutes from the ocean in Westport and 30 minutes to Stamford. Shops are within walking distance, yet you'll still be surrounded by nature, far from the hustle and bustle of roads and city life. Bring your family & friends to camp at our quiet and very modest small farm. Located in backwoods horse pastures with chickens, a dog, and a couple of horses. The property is very spread out and there are 2 outhouses for all sites to use. Your pets are welcome too! Locally there are state parks with beaches, and state forest for trails and lakes, hiking and biking. Or you can just relax and enjoy the serenity! OUR ADDRESS IS #200 NOT #204 THE DRIVEWAY TO THE LEFT FROM THE STREET IS OURS., THE ONE PARALLEL TO THE RIGHT FROM THE STREET IS OUR NEIGHBOURS. Other attractions include local farmers markets, Gilette's Castle, and the famous River Ferry crossing the Connecticut River with a vehicle across to East Haddam. We offer an hot H2O outdoor shower here for the comfort of out clients. It is located on the back of main house in corner. See map in photos. We cannot allow any wood for camp fires to be brought in form the outside for environmental reasons. It can be pre-purchased for $12 per bundle on this site, or $10.00 cash here at farm. Farm Fresh eggs daily when available for $5.00 per 1/2 dozen. There are blankets and pillows are provided, and linens for cabin or trailer sites. Garbage removal is available as well $5 per bag provided.
