Towner's Country Paradise started out as a wild forest and pasture for cows in the 1940's, owned by Llewellyn Towner. In the 1960s, Llewellyn's love for aviation led him to construct a small airstrip and hangar, and then his son Terry began to plant Christmas Trees (no more cows) and clear much of the land. By the early 1970's our main and largest pond was built and since that time our fully functional cabin, several more fish ponds, roads, trails, running water and generated electricity have been added. Christmas Trees are still grown and harvested by Terry's son Scott Towner. Green rolling hills, deep valleys, a waterfall, ponds stocked with fish, a fully functional cabin, herds of deer, flocks of turkey and Canada Geese, & well-maintained roads and trails here in Addison NY. This is a beautiful piece of property located in the heart of the Finger Lakes and Wine Country of NY. It features a stunning spring fed waterfall and nice forest land. Very close to town but also very secluded and private. Great place to unwind and relax from our everyday lives. It is situated however in a gully next to a creek and waterfall so it is susceptible to heavy rains. It is recommended to at least have an AWD vehicle if rainy. I can usually help campers with getting to the site in my side X side if you need to park up at the pasture. Please order enough wood initially as I have found I spend a lot of time delivering extra wood to campers. It seems as if you will typically go through 2 bundles per night on average. Also I supply a contractor size garbage bag to you if you choose garbage removal. It is also a good idea to text me when you have a solid ETA so I can be here to take you to the site. I want to mention that the two sites closest to the waterfall are a slight hike in and can only accommodate up to 4 person tents so if a bigger group or vehicle camping you will be placed at another site. Underhill Inn is a small homestead located in the Finger Lakes region tucked in the rolling hills near Dryden Lake. We have a small garden, a flock of sheep and chickens, hives of honeybees and countless wild foraging on our 36 acres of pasture and hiking trails. Take a walk down to Brockendock pond and cruise across the water in a canoe or paddleboat to find peepers, heron, toads and turtles. Drop a line in the water to catch trout, bass and sunnies. The chicken coop is always bustling and there are plenty of eggs to harvest each day. Minglewood Camp is a place we built so people could escape from the hustle of our busy lives and find some peace in nature.
The cabin was built with respect for the environment. We constructed it with locally harvested and milled lumber and approached the build with minimal impact on the surrounding forest. The cabin is off grid and uses a small solar panel which charges a battery for the water heater and a light. We utilize rain water for the shower and sink which collects in a large tank. The bathroom functions with simple composting toilet. (Woodchips in a bucket)
The property is situated beside a creek and 90 acres of hardwood forest which campers are welcome to explore.

We have three camp sites on a 200-acre parcel of secluded, rural farm land. We are a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, chicken, and eggs are produced. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley!
When you arrive we will provide a complimentary carton of pastured raised eggs and you are welcome to visit our web site (redhouseranch . net) or store to order meats for your stay and/or to take with you upon your departure. We have a wide variety of grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, snack sticks for long hikes, and dog bones and smoked treats for your furry friends. Many of our items are well suited for campfire cooking. Keep in mind that all our products are frozen so be sure to plan for time to thaw. If you're not sure what that involves - we're here to help.
We are a working farm but, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, pasture-based, farming methods. Learn more about us and the history of the farm at our website.
As you roam the hills and forests you'll eventually bump into some of our animals. Please do not enter the animal enclosures or touch any of the electrified fence lines. If you really want to pet a piggie or hold a chicken - just reach out to Ike or Dave and we will gladly arrange this for you.
Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night.
In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. The other three are smaller and are now primarily wildlife habitat. easily accessible with mown paths
If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices.
When skies are clear our area has very little light pollution and excellent star visibility. It's a great place to view the night sky during a meteor shower.

About the Property: Our unique property boasts quiet camping on a beautifully manicured MotoTrials Riding and Obstacle Play Course. 2025 marked our first year offering camping to the public, and we look forward to HipCampers joining us in our unique venue. All 4 camping sites are nestled into the Obstacle course. Trials riders and non-Trials Riders alike will find much to enjoy here. Campers unfamiliar with Trial are welcome to take advantage of a Lesson on one of our Rental Bikes, while the Obstacle Course is also super-fun on foot (for walks or runs), mountain bike, trials bicycle, or for playing with your RC toy! We have night lighting to turn on at your request, even if just to sit in the evening and enjoy the lights reflecting off the pond-We surely do! We are located on NY 38 but our traffic is not obnoxious (Log and Milk Trucks, Farm Tractors and Commuters). It is very peaceful here. Your camping can be as private, quiet and leisurely as you wish. The views and big sky are gorgeous in our corner of farm country. Our small pond (tho not suitable for fishing or swimming) provides entertainment w/ turtle sunbathing raft and lots of nature's visitors. Pets always welcome off-leash with your guidance. About the Trials Riding: Sundays are a practice day or Event day. We host 4 Mototrial Events each season (see below) and if spectating appeals, you can plan your trip to coincide. You're in for a treat if you've never seen these nimble motorcycles do their 'thing'... up, over, and around the obstacles. Events are busy and exciting, but no worries (!) trials bikes are not loud. Riders are friendly and considerate. If spectating not your thing- no worries. Non-event/non-practice days are quite laidback. If Trials riders come here for additional practice (or instruction) it's not loud or invasive, nor interferes with any camper training or play on the course. When riders are here (barring Events or Sunday Practice ), it's typically only 2-4 at once. Multiple activities co-exist nicely, as there is plenty of room for all. There are many days no one is on the course at all (!) and you may have it all to yourself or possibly with another camper. Hope to see you in our slice of heaven! Our homestead in cooperation with hipcamp would like to offer our handicapped accessible site, parking and rustic wagon for any family that has a handicapped child that would like to have the full experience our homestead has to offer with interaction with our animals, camping and campfires, the campsite is large enough for a handicapped accessible van as well as a pull behind popup trailer or a 26' low profile r.v. the rustic wagon will accommodate smaller children or those that could crawl onto a queen size bed.
We have lots of very lovable goats that love interacting with people, 7 babies......plus pigs and chickens, and our homestead is deep in the woods.....full reimbursement i.e. free of charge.

Our property is very wooded,, secluded area on two and a half acres., it is on a hill, parking is about a football field distance from the campsite, rugged walking, very doable, bring appropriate footwear.
We are nestled on a private road on top of a hill backed up to 2100 acres of New York Gaundry Hill State Forest. There's waterways with active Beaver ponds between our properties. We do have bear and a mountain lion up here.
We are 420 friendly!

We had a great time glamping at camp minglewood as a couple . Everything was as described. Perfect location for exploring the finger lakes region. Site was located behind a mobile home park, but it felt very private and secluded. The cabin was well designed, comfortable and you can drive right up to the doorsteps. Kitchen was well stocked but we didn’t use it. There is a hot water shower system and a kitchen faucet too which uses rain water collected in a big tank, but we brought our own portable shower system and used bottled spring water. Falling asleep to the gentle sounds of the creek and waking up to fresh air and greenery made the stay unforgettable.

I really enjoyed my stay in the "mini barn". It is my first time sleeping on a pool table! Actually with the supplied mattress it was comfortable and I slept like a baby. Mike and Laurel were super pleasant and laid back, I felt right at home.

Weekend Trip to Stoney Goat Homestead
Gary’s homestead is amazing!! My partner and I stayed for the weekend and enjoyed every second. Highlights included feeding the goats, getting cozy in the covered wagon next to the wood-stove, and chatting with Gary about his land. I loved staying in Marie's cabin! It's rustic but had everything I needed for a cozy night. When I arrived, she gave me a tour of her beautiful farm and showed me all the animals. Having the pond right in front of the cabin makes for a very peaceful atmosphere. There are lots of trails to explore, horses to pet and peace and quiet to enjoy. Thanks again for the warm welcome and a lovely stay!

Perfect place for an evening campfire, a night in my hammock in the hayloft listening to the chorus of spring peepers in the pond and endless cups of coffee as the sun rises. Wow what a cool surprise this was, my girlfriend and I booked this last week for a quick getaway. Upon arrival we met with our host Gary, he gave us a tour of the property and explained his vision for the homestead, I just think it’s so cool in 2026 for a host to not care about gouging people for money, and genuinely wanting to show people it’s possible to live a self sustaining lifestyle. Gary provided all the firewood we could ask for free of charge and even started a fire for us the first night. The goats were AMAZING! Gary gave us a huge bucket of corn to go down and introduce ourselves, there had to be 40 of them including about 6 babies. It was heaven. The wagon itself was super comfortable with a small wood stove, and a nice queen bed. Gary brought us over some delicious fresh eggs from his chickens in the morning and man there was nothing like it. Well for sure be back, thank you so much Gary for all the hospitality and conversation. Ps give Sawyer a big pat on the head for us!

My boyfriend, our dog, and I very much enjoyed our stay in the covered wagon. Gary couldn’t be a nicer guy and real genuine. He helped make our stay comfortable, giving us wood for the fire, some fresh eggs for breakfast, and corn to feed the friendliest goats. His dogs are sweet and friendly too. Our dog got to make new friends. We really loved every minute of our trip. I highly recommend choosing the Stoney Goat Homestead. It was a great place to unwind and forget about the stresses of life. I can’t wait to see how the homestead progresses into Gary’s vision. It’s already a great place. I wish we could’ve stayed longer but we’ll definitely be back for sure! Thanks so much Gary!!! : )

The tiny home and the land it sits on where the perfect combo. The tiny home provides just the right mix of outdoor feeling with indoor comfort. Dave and Ike were also very accommodating. 10/10

For anyone who wants a true disconnect this is a nice little place. Owners are friendly and attentive. Make sure you bring enough firewood if it’s colder weather though. We burnt through it and had a cold morning but that’s on us haha.
