Event Details
● Alumni Weekend will be based in Camp Mountaineer.
● Guests are welcome to arrive for the weekend on Friday anytime after 2:00 pm.
● All 3 meals will be provided Saturday - a cold continental breakfast (cereal, milk,
fruit, danish), a bagged lunch (sandwich, chips, fruit, dessert), and a cookout
dinner (hot dogs, hamburgers, assorted salads, desserts).
● A cold continental breakfast (cereal, milk, fruit, danish) will be provided on
Sunday.
● A variety of activities will be offered/available though the vibe of the weekend is
relaxed and laid back!
● Guests will need to check out on Sunday by 12:00 pm.

● Camp tours will be offered throughout the weekend.
● The Mountaineer Waterfront will be open to swim and boat at your own risk.
● A friendly cornhole tournament will be held late in the afternoon on Saturday.
● Saturday night will showcase a classic campfire complete with s’mores!

I live off grid in one of the toughest climates in the US. I have about 15 acres of land bordered by 10,000 acres of wild forest preserve. Locals refer to this area as The Hill because of its unique weather anomalies. I share my experiences with campers in good weather but exist here all year. I am a Qualified NYS Woodland Guide. My actual license is pending the processing of fees and registration. This should be complete by August 1st of this year. I have over a half century of knowledge gained through a lifetime of hiking, exploring and living in this environment. My main focus is the land, lakes, ponds and streams in the lower Adirondack Park. I leave the high peaks, ice climbing and white water rafting to others that choose that speciality. My goal in guiding is not that of a just a follow me and listen guide. I strive to help those interested in learning about and enjoying the outdoors safely so that you take away real life skills you can use once we are done. I did search and resuce work as a volunteer for many years under DEC Forest Rangers. To help contain costs l will allow up to groups of people to participate at one time. Also. If you would like Amish made products, l can arrange that as well. There is a very conservative Amish community in the surrounding area. I consider these people my good friends and l am very familiar with their customs, traditions and lifestyles. Many people are now thinking of doing what we have done. If you so choose, we can schedule time to discuss any of the offgrid issues that may be unanswered in your mind. The original intent was to offer a peaceful place for you to escape for a time. Camp TedRock Adirondack Forest Retreat provides private and secluded off grid campsites and structures on 5 forested acres within the Blue Line of The Adirondack State Park in Thurman New York. Just minutes from I-87 and the Lake George Region, our A Frame site offers a 120 square foot authentic A-Frame cabin with an open Adirondack Lean-to approach. This 1-4 person A frame comes with 2 to 4 sleeping cots, 2 hammocks (available) with hanging space inside or out and plenty of space to pitch a tent all around, tent included. Down by the runoff stream (sometimes there is no runoff!) you'll find a fire ring with a cooking grill and outdoor seating. Inside the A frame you're provided a lantern, gas cook stove, kitchen ware, food storage cooler and small table and chairs. 14 gallons of potable water is provided. Cabine Luciole is a heritage Sugar Maple Cabin built in the late 1800's. It is located in an mossy, old growth maple forest with towering majestic maple trees. It is built on a leyline by Irish (Erin) settlers, giving it powerful energy to rejuvinate. You can also walk the cretan labyrinth, to bring balance.
catherdral tin roof cabin has enough space for dinning, entertaining and yoga, it also has a sleeping loft for 2 people, and can be used as a reading nook, bring your own sleeping bags, pillows, and towels and you are welcome to set up a tent on the outdoor camping site. There is a heated full pressure shower, compost toilet and an outdoor sink and cooking station. The site is booked for complete privacy, only one group booking at a time, so you have your own private spot in the woods. There is a fireplace in the cabin with plenty of wood. The floor is mostly nature stepping stones, hand picked from the woods. The cabin is nestled in a moss and fern magical woods with fireflies, owls, deer, and foxes. There are groomed peaceful walking trails. A sphere shaped cooking outdoor fireplace under firefly solar lights adds to the magical experience. There are wonderful activates such as fishing, kayaking (Safari Kayak) and bike trails in the local area. Go back in time and experience the rare wisdom of the sugar maple trees that are over 150 feet tall. You will never want to leave, come back and see the trees colourful splendor in the fall and in early spring we plan to have hands on maple syrup making.

Weekend Trip to Camp TedRock Adirondack Retreat
Found this spot doing some last minute planning for the fourth of July. The property is secluded yet still a short drive into town. There is a cabin for sleeping and a separate cabin for cooking with ladies bathroom. The host has another building in progress for a shower! Great basecamp for hiking trips, nearby swimming holes and the Chestertown challenge trails.

We had such an amazing stay at Rita's land! The riverside campsite was absolutely beautiful, with a calm river just steps away for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and relaxing on the floating mats. Everything was so thoughtfully set up that we never felt the need to leave the property.
The campsite was clean, private, and had everything we needed. Our dogs loved being able to enjoy the open space, and our favorite part was ending each day by the fire pit, watching the stars over the river. It was peaceful, relaxing, and exactly the getaway we were hoping for.
You can tell Rita has put so much thought into creating a welcoming experience. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about our next visit. We can't wait to come back and would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipped riverside getaway!

We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely come back. The campsite was peaceful, well maintained, and had everything we needed to relax and enjoy the outdoors. It felt private while still being easy to access, and the natural surroundings made for a perfect weekend getaway.

We would highly recommend this cabin for those that want a nice quiet get away thats still close to hiking trails and other activities. The cabin was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. A nice fire pit was available with chairs to relax after a day’s adventures. We hated to leave!

I loved camping on Bonnie's land. The Runamuck cabin that I stayed in was absolutely gorgeous. The view was beautiful, and it was so thoughtful how she provided freshwater, a cooking stove and fuel, coffee, and a little table with coffee cups and flatware. I felt safe and peaceful. Weekend Trip to Brookview Cabin
Wonderful experience, thanks to Ted and Sue. The cabin is outfitted with a lot of things that make staying there quite comfortable, like the gas heater, lights and solar battery. I do wish the front door had a lock, though.

Weekend Trip to Mt Baker Tiny Cabin
We loved the cabin and the surrounding area. It really gave us the quiet break we needed. It is basic but has got everything you need. We would've just preferred to know before the booking how many mosquitoes there would be. It is impossible to stay outside, you're instantly surrounded by thousands of them.
