This off-the-grid tiny house is nestled on a 23 acre parcel at the end of a quarter-mile dirt road. The property itself is secluded but is less than 2 miles from the heart of Saranac Lake's downtown. This property is bordered by the Saranac River, the backside of Baker Mountain and State Forest. The only other building on the property is our timberframe which we may or may not be at during the time of your visit. The property does have private trails up to the cliffs on the backside of Baker mtn however, the Saranac River is down a steep embankment so it does not make for a good place to launch a boat (several public boat launches nearby). The Mt Baker tiny house is a great basecamp for hiking the Saranac Lake 6-ers, paddling/boating along the Saranac Chain of lakes or Saranac River, Mountain Biking at Dewey, Pisgah or other nearby BETA trails. IMPORTANT DETAILS: This tiny cabin is completely off the grid: no electricity, heat or cooling. Queen sized bed - we provide the linens. The driveway is narrow - so nothing in tow. Drinking water is provided via jug and dispenser. There is a brand new outhouse (no flushable toilet) We have a designated spot for campfires (smores are a must) There is an older propane grill outside for guest useThis is a newly built tiny cabin (10x16 interior) on a secluded 23 acre parcel. This peaceful cabin, nestled in the woods, is the perfect retreat after a beautiful day of hiking or biking. Relax on the deck and read a book or listen to the birds chirp. At night, build a campfire to roast smores or simply star gaze. Feel free to walk around and take in the beauty of this secluded property located just a mile from town.

A great stay.
I had a great stay and really enjoyed the cabin. It was quiet and cozy. I would be happy to stay there again and recommend it to others who are looking to explore the Adirondacks or nearly by lakes and towns.

Mt Baker Tiny Cabin
Beautiful and comfortable cabin that feels very remote while at the same time you could be on town with 5 minutes drive or 25 minute walk. Had a relaxing stay and would likely stay again when I am in the area.

Perfect Peaceful Getaway
We spent 3 nights in this lovely off-grid cabin, and it was just what we needed. The hosts are amazing and very responsive, and have thought of everything. The cozy bed with its hotel-like linens, battery & solar lighting, the lovely deck overlooking a small stream, the grill and fire pit - all of this helped us unwind, unplug and relax. We will definitely try to come back! It's minutes from downtown Saranac Lake and another 15 out of Lake Placid. There is a ton to explore in the area, and having the tiny cabin as our "home base" was perfect. Whenever we had questions, the hosts responded within minutes via HipCamp, and helped make our stay even better.

Mt Baker Tiny Cabin
Lovely little cabin, just minutes away from downtown yet completely secluded and dead quiet, like being in the middle of the woods. Super cozy bed and everything you need to be comfortable camping. Responsive hosts, would gladly visit again. The 2 of us and our 2 dogs were very happy during our stay.

Adirondack Adventure
Very chill thought out wooded mountain setting but just minutes from downtown Saranac close to groceries, restaurants and bars or anything you forgot. Vrry easy access to the site. Matt and Sara have anticipated everything: solar/battery lights, lots of drinking water, sun shower, excellent screened in ventilation, the most luxurious outhouse you will ever experience, a fire pit I used daily (just picked up some 3 hour logs) and a very comfortable bed with clean hotel quality linens. I was there 3 nights around a MTB race and will be back for my next Adirondack adventure.
