Bridgeview Harbour Marina

The Pump House is a perfect camping site. Perched above a cove, the site offers a peaceful spot to gaze out over the lake. We enjoyed watching the Osprey that dove into the water many times each day. There were turtles to watch too. The view of sailboats docked just off the site has the picturesque quality you'd see on a puzzle box. The site is definitely removed and quiet from any action at the marina. The main part of the marina is not visible from the site. We were not there on a Friday, but it sure appears that the site is prime seating for the summer Friday night concerts. The marina has an immaculately clean and charmingly decorated bath house with plenty of hot water. We hope to have the opportunity to visit here again! A few things to note: The site is high above the water, maybe about 15 feet. From the site there is a straight drop off to the water that appears to be the old Pump House wall. Because of this, I wouldn't recommend the site for children. Also, because it is a former industrial site, there are some metal and concrete remnants surrounding the area, so it is important to not walk around barefoot. Finally, there is a fair amount of Poison Ivy around the site's perimeter. It's less Poison Ivy than in my yard at home, but you do need to keep an eye out for it.

Our BEST HIPCAMP SITE EVER!!

The Plateau at the Bridgeview Harbour Marina in Port Henry, NY, is an idyllic site and truly our most favorite HipCamp site EVER!!! There are many things that make this so: Firstly, it has not only a breathtaking view of Lake Champlain’s Vermont shore—which is largely undeveloped and green and natural!—but the Bridgeview Harbour Marina itself is charmingly picturesque. Secondly, The Plateau is amazingly spacious; so large, that if one sets up at the lakeside edge of the site, it actually feels rather secluded. It is a great space for a large group, which can include dogs! [Even the Dockside Cafe allows pups on the shaded outside dining deck!] Our camping gear included a truck tent, two additional tents, a Clam kitchen shelter, a “privacy” tent, a badminton set and a SlumberJack tarp and we barely took up a third of The Plateau’s land. Pro tip for this site: Definitely bring your own shade! The Plateau is entirely exposed and our SlumberJack truck tarp provided us protection from the sun. Another great positive of this HipCamp site is that it includes a quaint and very clean trailer set up with a men’s shower and bathroom, a laundry room with child changing station, and a women’s shower and bathroom. Also, ice can be purchased onsite at the marina. We visited the weekend before July 4th and were blown away by how largely quiet the marina was all weekend. Our wonderful hosts warned us that it was a “working marina” and, therefore might be busy, but it was relatively tranquil.

We love how secluded the pump house was. There was a lot of space for setting up. I would not suggest this spot for anyone with very young children as there are drop offs and poison ivy along the wooded areas. Over all this was a great site. We loved the cafe! 10 out of ten would recommend trying the cafe! The bathrooms and laundry were clean and a huge bonus.

Nice place to stay...plenty of room. And when we parked the camper "backwards" we have a great view of Lake Champlain while enjoying cover from the sun. Bathrooms were clean. No complaints.

The plateau is a perfect getaway spot. Quiet overlooking Lake Champlain and the sailboats moored up. The night sky was a beautiful view of the milkyway. Host is very accommodating. We will be back again.

We have four dogs, and absolutely loved the private off to the side campsite that the Pumphouse was. We had plenty of space to spread out, lovely view of the lake and boats. Fun to watch the farmers market Friday night. Enjoyed the live music and vendors. Quiet and peaceful at night, Tje noisiest neighborhoods were the delightful owls. Beautiful view of the Champlain Bridge and amazing sunrise views. Bathrooms were clean and comfortable. Showers were clean and lovely water- perfect pressure and easy temperature adjustment. This is a great campsite for privacy and space. We had fun cycling down to the marina with the dogs.

Pump House site was a great secluded spot with view of the marina. Was a little worried initially as there is also a famers market/live music hosted at the marina on Fridays during the summer, but was able to find the site with the signage.

Beautiful Marina Camping

We loved our time at Bridge view! It was a great site with beautiful views. The owners were very attentive checking in on us. The location in Port Henry was central to our day trips to Vermont, Lake Placid, Fort Frederick, WhiteFace Mountain, Ticonderoga Ferry and the Star Trek Original Series Set Tour. The area was quiet (beginning of June) and everyone was super friendly. We loved every minute and we're sad to leave. We highly recommend staying here and we will be back!

Second time camping here with our RV. The staff ate very friendly, the views are great and once 4-5pm hits it becomes dead quiet all night. We also love having the Dockside Cafe for breakfast!

This was the end of their season at the marina. Weather was cold and wet but the showers were nice and hot and the bathroom facilities were very clean. Lovely view of the Bulwagga Bay and the Champlain Bridge from the campsite. Power, water and wifi all worked great. Enjoyed the hiking that was close by and seeing Ausable Chasm which was pretty close.
