As far as we know, this land has been occupied since shortly after the civil war.  It is actually two farms, combined into one around 1900. The main farmhouse was built out of the logs they cleared in 1879, and there are old foundations of the other original farm houses/barns as well.  All over the property (now woods) there are piles of stones that the original inhabitants pulled from the fields. The second farm house was built in 1901. Most of the total 240 acres were cleared pasture land at that time.  During the twenties and thirties the property was owned by an industrious couple from the City that lovingly turned it into more of a "rustic retreat"; damming a pond, planting ornamentals and upgrading the buildings.  There have been many owners over the years, but we are proud to say it has been with us the longest.  Our family bought it in 1961 and we have been trying to be good stewards ever since.  Come and visit our little patch of wilderness!

Whimsical Tiny Cabin
Perfect New Year’s Eve getaway! The cabin was peaceful and cozy. We spent the weekend reading in front of the fireplace and cooking delicious food. Highly recommend this camp if you are looking to get offline and connect with nature.

Peaceful reset
It was so peaceful and quiet. We loved exploring the woods around the pond. The campsite is only a few miles from the town of North Creek where we were able to hike along the Hudson River, which was awesome. This was the perfect time of year to be in the adirondacks, the colors were amazing everywhere we went. The cabin was so cute. We absolutely loved our trip.

Great stay!
We had a great time! Margaret’s property is beautiful! The tent was clean. We enjoyed walking the trails on her property. We are glad we stayed there! We had our own gear but she had a lot of kitchen supplies, a propane stove, headlamps, a trash can with a bag, toilet paper, etc. We also opted for the ride for our gear which I definitely recommend unless you just have a backpack. The cell service isn’t the best but that’s what we wanted - to disconnect. So make sure you take any screenshots/print directions to and from (incase you can’t get service)

Hemlock Camp
We loved the secluded, back to nature feel of the hemlock camp. Everything needed plus more was available at the campsite. Pack light, it’s a decent trek in the woods, or pay for a ride. We got to go for a nice swim at the pond. The king size bed was extremely comfortable. We enjoyed a fire in the fire pit and saw lots of deer. We ventured into North Creek and did some glass blowing! Definitely an awesome, quiet, off grid weekend!

Hemlock Camp
This is a quaint fairy-esque place for all ages. Even those with bad backs/knees could handle this place (I have both issues and then some). Pups with anxiety issues...this is for them. My pup suffers from bad anxiety but the frogs and salamanders in the creek kept him occupied at all waking hours. He was able to be...just...a dog for a bit and relax. This trip was for my college aged daughter and I to reconnect. So gals, if you wanna go camping and feel safe, this is the place. If you have ANY issue (and I mean ANY, even with outhouse issues), the host is there for help or advice. Storms blowing in? That tent didnt budge in the storm we had with high winds. Animals? We saw deer, squirrels, a chipmunk, but nothing large to be worried about. I'm sure they are there but didnt see any. My daughter said she heard howling. I can't confirm as I was sleeping. The pond is wonderful and not cold. Bring the bug spray, the Repel brand at 15% deet did fine. I hope we can go again one day. Next time I'll know I don't have to bring the whole house with us. Thanks a bunch to the Hosts! Truly a magical quiet awesome camp. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

Serenity
We loved our stay, glamping off grid in serenity and tranquility, The running stream was wonderful, The indoor fire place helped keep the tent nice and cozy on the closer nights, They provide everything you could need so don’t pack too much, and they paid attention to details that really added a nice touch. We definitely would like another stay.

Little Cabin, Big Adventures
A beautiful site convenient to gore mountain, hiking, and whitewater rafting (I recommend ARO), the cabin was delightful. Everything you need to sand the edges off of roughing it (gas grilles, hammock, kayaks, the best version of an outhouse), and nothing you don't (no electricity or other nearby campers. I hope to return soon. p.s. Bring a sleeping pad if you're more than two

The location of the Tiny Camp is amazing! It is so beautiful and so private, with a private network of trails. We used them for xc skiing and would highly recommend skiing there! Sven ran the snowmobile on all the trails so they were perfect for skiing.

Tranquil oasis
This was the perfect quiet setting to escape and reset. The tent was beautiful and spacious and the kind bed was amazing. The site had was well equipped with a grill, cooking utensils, firewood, etc. My dog had a blast exploring and wading in the stream. Margarete and Sven were extremely helpful and responsive for everything we needed. If you are looking for a private setting with the comforts of glamping, this is the spot! We will definitely be back!

Camp Hemlock was great! Beautiful property, well kept. We loved every minute of it. The tent is amazing, the kitchen is well equipped, the outhouse was private and the cleanest I have ever used, the pond was refreshing and the canoe was fun. The walk from the car is not bad. Sven and Margarete were very helpful and communication was excellent!

Hemlock Camp
Comfortable, rustic, charming,quiet
We absolutely loved our three-night stay at this utterly charming camp! With our backpacking days behind us, Hemlock Camp was the perfect combination of comfort and 'roughing it' for us. The tent is quite large and we could easily have slept more people inside; the bed was extremely comfortable after a long day climbing peaks, and the outdoor area is well set-up for outdoor cooking and hanging out by the campfire. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like cooking and eating ware, tiki torches for outdoor lighting, electric lanterns for inside the tent, and a screen tent over the picnic table. The surrounding area is extremely quiet and the only sound we heard at night was the wind sighing in the trees. We hope to come back again, and hopefully will have more time (and energy!) to explore the pond and extensive trails on Margarete's land. I highly recommend Hemlock Camp as a base for your Adirondack adventures!

Adirondack Tiny Camp
My husband, dog, and I had a wonderful weekend stay at the cabin. The cabin itself was cute and clean, the outhouse was 100% "boutique," as far as outhouses go, and the pond and hiking trails both gave us a lot to do and a wonderful environment to relax in. We were pleasantly surprised to find we severely over-packed, because so much was already provided for us--everything from lanterns/flashlights/tiki torches, to paper towels, to forks for fire-roasting marshmallows, to reading material both in the cabin and in the outhouse! It was very buggy, but this is to be expected right next to the water at this time of year (and even bug spray was provided!). Overall, we could easily see that a lot of attention was put into meeting the various needs of guests, and this was very much appreciated. We would definitely recommend staying here!

This cabin is the perfect tiny space! I stayed here at the start of the new year with a friend. It's in a great location to explore the ADKs and sooooooo cozy! It was so nice to just sit in the rocking chair right next to the fire. I never wanted to leave! Super helpful that there was already a jug of water in there, and plenty of firewood! I can't wait to come back and hang out by the pond when the snow is gone!

Great secluded spot -- close to several great day-hiking areas. I spent the day at OK Slip falls and a side hike to the Hudson. Great place to leave the city behind for a few days.

i went for a quick getaway with my wife and our australian shepherd puppy. we loved our stay on the edge of the adirondack state park. The site is truly aesthetically pleasing. You have a private pond all to yourself along with a wonderful firepit. The owners provide wood along with fire starter supplies. There are Canoes and kayaks if you so desire to go out on the pond. prepare to carry your gear from the road to the actual cabin. The cabin has no electricity, a true tiny camp experience! It’s heated but a small wood stove which easily heats the whole space. You can choose from a cot on the ground level or sleeping in wonderful loft above. i would reccomend this site to any tiny camp or cabin lover alike, not to mention the location is stunning.
