Welcome to Camp Way Wild. A private camp for those looking for forested seclusion and serenity, nestled at the gates of the Adirondacks. Camp Way Wild offers our Lean To with a view and no cabins. The lean to is a 10' by 14' lean-to large enough to accommodate up to a family of five within its sturdy frame. Just a short walk away is the newly finished bathroom, featuring a flush toilet, hot shower, and sink. We also have a rustic, traditional outhouse available for use. Situated around the property are 200 year old barns, a personal firepit, as well as a large grassy lawn great for games and activities. Local attractions nearby the property include​ local area trails state land Lake Champlain boat launch. Kayaking on the Bouquet river. Local farm market bakery and train station close by. Shop locally at Amish farm stands, organic farms. Enjoy near by dining on Lake Champlain. Boats kayaks available at local marina. Watch a beautiful sunset from Lean to and listen to the owls and the coyotes 70 acres of diverse topography and ecosystems. I joined by 50 acres of wildlife sanctuary. Rivers lake Champlain many wonderful hikes within walking distance. Westport state boat launch a mile away. View of High Peaks from 10 x 14’ lean to SUV accessible. Privy available. Firepit. Fires are *ONLY* allowed within the designated firepit provided, must be kept small, and no open flames are allowed during fire bans. We are in fire country and we would like to keep our land beautiful.

Flush toilet, pit toilet. We have a newly completed bathroom (circa July 2022) that features a flush toilet, as well as a cute, rustic outhouse.

Such a beautiful property! Spent memorial weekend there with my partner and our dog. So much space to explore and very private. It rained a bit but the barn and lean too saved us! Would come back in a heartbeat.

Ken’s site is just perfect. To die for view. Very nice lean to with a hammock where we stood our tent. Clear instructions. He sent a map and called to make sure we will settle good. You need a four wheel vehicle to get close to the lean to. Otherwise, there’s a nice campsite near the bathhouse as well. We loved our stay here. Felt super safe. And the outhouse is very accessible too if you need to go in the middle of the night. Thank you, Ken!

Ken hosts one of the most incredible campsites I’ve had the pleasure of staying at, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s one of the kindest souls I’ve met too! Make sure to bring a camera when you visit, the view is not something you’ll want to forget, nor the beautiful sites around the campground. This is a must-stay, and I won’t be surprised if Ken ends up being booked year-round!!! (Also, we recommend a car with higher suspension and four wheel drive as to make the trip up to the lean-to easier!) Thanks Ken :)

Ken’s property is beautiful. We had so much room and having a bathroom was awesome. The view from the lean to is amazing. Would love to stay there next time. Ken was very kind to meet us and see that we were settling in. Thank you, Ken

Absolutely spectacular! We loved the view and the protection from the rain. We could not believe how beautiful the bath house was. We drove up to the lean to set up camp but just walked up to the tent after that.

We drove 3.5 hours in the rain and still had a good time. We took advantage of the barn but still found a way to pitch our tent and have a nice relaxing time. Didn’t get to see the lean to but we will definitely come back. In nicer weather. Thank you to Ken, who was very nice and accommodating.

This was just spectacular! Many thanks to Ken for so generously sharing this beautiful spot. I parked at the bottom and hiked up to the lean to -- the views were just stunning and it was such a treat to fall asleep to the owls and wake up with the sun. And there's nothing like having a warm shower after a big hike in the Adirondacks! Hope to be back soon.

Camp way wild is even better than pictured. Beautiful scenery in a very private location. Not far from town, and a short drive to beautiful swimming and hiking spots. Kenneth is a wonderfully kind host, he waited up for us even though we were late so that he could make sure we knew where everything was. He was also very helpful when planning our trip, and he takes good care of his land. Strongly recommend bringing a fully closed off bug net for sleeping. Also, recommend a car with four wheel drive if you want to avoid carrying your things to the camp site, although it isn't a long walk and the view is very worth it.

Kenneth's land was a fantastic stay – and the bathhouse was so nice and very convenient to have, especially on a chillier day/night. This was a gorgeous, isolated area that was perfect for seeing the eclipse – and we were able to see so many stars at night!

Beautiful land and very well managed. Kenneth was incredibly friendly and very responsive. Plenty of hiking trails and private areas to camp. Enjoy a peaceful night of camping amongst the sounds of nature.

Kenneth's land is absolutely amazing. We had a wonderful time exploring his property and its incredible views. There was a great grass field that was level where we slept in our camper van. The bathroom and shower were wonderful and very clean. Highly recommend!
