Three of our spots require walking away from your vehicle, short distances. We have four drive-in sites that will accommodate two or three vehicles. We do not allow RVs or trailers on our main farm due to our narrow mountain driveway. Wisteria Camp has a private driveway, it can accommodate small RV/Trailers. Camper vans are welcome at the main farm! Our farm store includes our Animal Welfare Approved products such as Eggs, Chicken, Beef, Pork, Lamb and Dairy, as well as produce, jams, coffee and other items from our local community. We offer camping essentials, local art, bike rentals, farm experiences and tours. The property has miles of trails along mountain spring-fed streams, a small pond and access to three private acres on the Robinson River, a stocked Trout stream, just 2 miles down the road. Our property is centrally located to White Oak Canyon (20 minutes) and Old Rag Mountain (10 minutes) trailheads in the Shenandoah National Park as well as many vineyards and breweries. Situated at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains and bordering the Jefferson National Forest, Thunder BRidge has scenic, large, private tent sites and cabins in the woods for those who want to experience camping at its finest. Many of the sites border Elk Creek. Our RV sites are large, flat and at the edge of the forest in a well kept open green space. Our 100 acres was originally a camp built by the Civilian Conservation Corp in the "30s and early '40s, then a boys' juvenile detention center and Big Brothers'/Big Sisters' camp, which closed in 2009. The tent sites and cabins are in the forest, away from the buildings out front, but you're free to walk around and check out the historic site. Most of the buildings out front are artist studios (currently for 16 artists). We like to share the camp with others and watch it come back to life. All within a short driving distance are the Natural Bridge, wineries, breweries, Natural Bridge Zoo, Safari Park, Dinosaur Kingdom, Appalachian Trail, Blue Ridge Parkway, James River, historic Lexington, Devil's Marbleyard, Glenwood Horse Trail, swimming holes, etc. We have river access 2 miles up the road if you'd like to fish or put your kayak or canoe in. Truly, there is something nearby for everyone. We'd be happy to give you recommendations of things to see and do. If you are a star gazer you won't be disappointed by our dark sky. We want to share our property with those who want to stay for more than one night, so we do not accept inquiries of single night stays. Beaverdam Falls is a rare place for the lack of stone and the centuries of beavers who have left their trace in & on our creek—and swamp, the Stick Marsh, which has an active beaver dam. Be careful! The Guinea farm is 18 acres of field and forest on the rural middle peninsula. Only 1 mile from 2 separate secluded dog friendly beaches and a boat launch. There is very little traffic or light pollution here, nature is at your fingertips. Come visit the farm and experience agritourism at it's finest. Pick your own veggies in the community garden and meet the Guinea fowl! Enjoy the wilderness and learn about the local ecosystem here on the middle peninsula. There are 3 sites spaced out across the 18 acres set apart for privacy. Wisteria Treehouse site closer to the entrance gate. Trilogy Micro Cabinz is in the pines 700' beyond that and separated by dense forest. Stargazer Tiny cabin is an off grid rustic camping cabin on the back side of the property. Each site is surrounded by several acres of forest and close to the edge of a large field. There are roaming guinea fowl that may come make a very loud appearance as they canvas the property eating bugs. Deer, Turkeys, Bald Eagles, foxes, and other wildlife are common guests also. Mid-summer is what I call frog season, Tree frogs are abundant and provide a wonderful soundtrack. There is an axe throwing board and cornhole boards available. 4 miles from shopping and dining in Mathews Virginia, 15 miles to Gwynn Island. Gwynn's Island is an island located in the Chesapeake Bay off of Virginia's Middle Peninsula. The island is located in the northeast part of Mathews County, south of the mouth of the Piankatank River. It is connected to the rest of the county by a swing bridge over Milford Haven.

This did not last long :) but the saplings my dad planted by hand are still here & maybe 70' tall! Then my husband & I bought The Farm in 2017 for the 2nd forty years of our life & my parents built their little house right here. My husband and I immediately knew that our dream was to grow a different kind of "tree", so in 2019 we were among the first group to receive our license to grow hemp. We are passionate about both the hemp and cannabis plants! In 2020 when it finally became legal to grow cannabis, we immediately added that to our garden as well and 2nd 40 to 420 was born, or shall I say planted. Bring your own hammock or enjoy one of ours along the trails! This peaceful property is located near Whitetop Mountain (25 minutes) and Grayson Highlands State Park (40 minutes). The Virginia Creeper Trail in Damascus is just 15 minutes away! We offer a glamping cottage with a kitchenette, electricity, and air conditioning. An 11-gallon camping sink and 5 gallons of drinking water are provided. A porta-potty is available and is serviced weekly. The tent sites and the cottage both have access to our new, natural spring outdoor shower. The spring water is from our own spring located on our property. We house it in a solar rain barrel to assist with warming it for showers. Spring water showers have excellent benefits for skin and hair. The cottage features a full-size bed, a queen sleeper sofa, and a twin bed in the loft. Guests also have access to a private fire pit, picnic table, and charcoal grill. Great host, great converted shed, very comfortable. Faces south overlooking a pasture, i didnt spend much time outside until evenings when the fireflies were popping. Trail behind cabin you can hike, meant to be trails, I just have a bum leg so cant report on that. Beautiful location.

The sweet, little cabin was just right for two. The decor (little touches), kitchen, grilling supplies, comfortable bed and pillows, reliable internet, and a/c were enhanced by the peaceful outdoors, star gazing and the Clean, *Nice smelling potty house. We did not have time to walk the trails, but the thought was inviting. Susannah was prompt in responses, willing to help if needed, and friendly. For our in route trip, this was an ideal place to stay.

We had a great time at the tree house! Our three kids are already asking to go back. Ian was responsive and helpful with anything that came up. Haven beach was so close and the perfect family beach, especially for littles. The swings under the treehouse were a huge hit. When we go back we’ll add an extra rechargeable fan and folding table to the packing list. They’re provided, we just wanted one more of each. Looking forward to another trip sooner than later!

Beautiful yurt and river view. Very relaxing. All neighbors were kind and respected privacy. We stayed for 3 nights as we were exploring the National Park near by. 10/10 would recommend.

Great location with a credible creek to lull you to sleep. Trailer was very comfy and clean. I really appreciated the fridge stove and dishes so you can easily cook for yourself. Sly was a great host and very responsive to any questions or concerns. Better than any hotel!

3 nights at Wilderness Adventure

Sneaky Cabin was exactly what we were after for a quick birthday meetup between two families with kids from Elementary school to High School. We floated the nearby James both days, did some trail running on the Outer Space trail on the property, mountain biking. I will say we also really enjoyed the creek, Gaga ball, snd tether ball. Staff and other guest were friendly. 100% of us returning…!

We loved glamping on Sean’s land. So much care has been put into the many camping options. The new bathhouse was awesome, but nothing beats the views. We will definitely be back.

What a beautiful treehouse! There was space to play frisbee, an area set up with cornhole and axe-throwing, beach nearby, and of course the bird farm. This was a great spot to discover, especially with three little kids in tow! Love that the campsite had a tent already sent up, AND had cots inside! The projector was an awesome bonus too.

We had a good time staying here, and it was very close to the beach
