She does all the woodworking, using sustainable practices, with locally-sourced wood, and her best friend Kathy does the fabric end of things. I was one of her early guinea pigs, and love my yurt property dearly <3 This 24' yurt sits on a beautiful private acreage off an end-state maintenance road, with biking and hiking trails just a 20 minute drive from the touristy town of Floyd, Virginia. Our campground is in the heart of all that Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley has to offer. Hiking opportunities abound as Luray is the closest town to the Thornton Gap entrance of Shenandoah National Park, and is to the Skyline Drive, taking drivers along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains!
The Luray Caverns, a national historic site, with it’s famous Great Stalacpipe Organ, are just a few minutes away, and tubing, canoeing, and white-water rafting adventure can be found at the nearby Shenandoah River. Museums and Civil War sites will feed your history-loving soul!
Onsite we have a brand-new camp store! We also have a large pool and small pool, a gathering yurt for groups and an event pavilion, a playground, and a jumping pillow is in the works! Fancy Gap is famous for the BRPW, hiking, mountain biking, and all types of outdoor activities. Mother Earth has a walk in shower, soaking tub, bluetooth music, wifi, and a hot tub. a full kitchen and washer and dryer. I provide all your paper products, coffees, creamer, sugar, shower products and more. it’s in a wooded area with nice views and wildlife in abundance. This yurt is comfortable all year long with a minisplit for heat and air conditioning, and a propane fireplace. This yurt has easy access and parking right in front. The deck is gated for toddlers and pets. Check out the secluded porch swing underneath. Our pet fee is an additional $25 left on the counter. Stargazing is at its best here, and lots of back roads to walk and explore. Check out Beamers Knob for a gorgeous long range view, about a mile from the yurt. It’s breathtaking! This yurt also has a generator to keep things going, in case of a power failure due to inclement weather.

In addition, Beaverdam park is about 15 minutes from our location and has trails, fishing, kayaking, etc. We are about 45 minutes away from amusement park Busch Gardens in Williamsburg. Mother Earth is 3 miles from I-77, exit #8, 3 miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway, and sits in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The yurt is 15 mins from Mt Airy NC which is a destination for outdoors activities, wineries, breweries, and has a gorgeous downtown area. Fancy Gap is famous for the BRPW, hiking, mountain biking, and all types of outdoor activities. Mother Earth has a walk in shower, soaking tub, bluetooth music, wifi, and a hot tub. a full kitchen and washer and dryer. I provide all your paper products, coffees, creamer, sugar, shower products and more. it’s in a wooded area with nice views and wildlife in abundance. This yurt is comfortable all year long with a minisplit for heat and air conditioning, and a propane fireplace. This yurt has easy access and parking right in front. The deck is gated for toddlers and pets. Check out the secluded porch swing underneath. Our pet fee is an additional $25 left on the counter. Stargazing is at its best here, and lots of back roads to walk and explore. Check out Beamers Knob for a gorgeous long range view, about a mile from the yurt. It’s breathtaking! This yurt also has a generator to keep things going, in case of a power failure due to inclement weather.

Weekend Trip to Blanchard Farm
My favorite part of the property was the fun little things to do. Rope swings, hammocks, hunting stand to climb. It was fun to be walking around the woods and come across random little things. The yurt sites were very private and provided your own space for relaxing. I was the only one camping this weekend, but they still seem spaced out enough to feel secluded. Definitely more space than what is given between lots at a state park.
Josh and his wife were both very kind and helpful. I have a hard time packing too much around due to health issues, and Josh was kind enough to put me in the closest yurt and help me with the firewood I purchased. The yurt is spacious and gives you a home away from home feel while still being in the outdoors and leaving things like electricity away. I will definitely be back! Thank you so much for such a great trip.

Myself, boyfriend and two pups had the pleasure of staying at the Wind Song yurt this past weekend and it was absolutely amazing. Couldn’t have asked for anything better! The place was stunning, stocked for all needs and a great getaway. Jodee was great at communicating with any questions with incredible timing. The view and location was everything we were looking for when visiting luray caverns. We actually did a cold plunge in the river. It was awesome. We booked another night just because we wanted to enjoy the scenery and tranquility. The hosts were responsive. The only thing I will say is me and my girlfriend were unable to take a decent shower in the shower rooms because after a minute or so of the water running. It began to smell like sewage. So after the first night we didn’t shower or brush our teeth or anything inside the bathrooms/showers. It was a really horrible putrid smell anytime we tried to shower.

What a great experience. Suvdie's yurt has such an amazing panoramic view, and everything you could possibly need on a trip. We had a great time playing golf at Bryce Resort which is just 3 minutes away, and there are a ton of great vineyards within 25 minutes of the yurt, all worth visiting. Suvdie was very communicative before, during, and after our trip to make sure we were prepared before we came, had everything we needed during our trip, and had a great experience afterwards. I can't recommend this Host and the yurt enough!

We enjoyed being unplugged from tech and fully immersed in nature. The yurt is nestled in the woods away from the main building and other tent sites so there's plenty of privacy and quiet. There's an opening in the trees above where a myriad of stars can be admired from the deck. I recommend opening the windows of the yurt to let in the sunlight and allow air to flow through the space. It was convenient to use the grill for cooking and the dinnerware for our meals. There is only one pot to cook in so if you need additional cookware, I would recommend bringing what you need as well as a sharp knife, peeler and can opener.

Everything was really great! The beautiful location was so amazing for a relaxing weekend. We appreciated how well-supplied the site was. Anything we forgot was readily available. It does say to bring linens. That was not needed for us but having an extra blanket is great for those colder nights. We highly recommend waking up early to see the sunrise over the mountains. The mist on the water was so magical and we even saw a mink walking right up to us!
