If you’re looking for a place that feels like you’ve stepped into another world, this is it. From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had been transported to a truly unique and peaceful retreat where it was easy to disconnect from everyday life and simply enjoy the surroundings.
Jodee was an exceptional host, and all of the friendly animals, made the experience even more memorable and added such a warm, personal touch that you just don’t find everywhere.
The yurt itself was incredibly well equipped. Everything we could have needed was already there, and you could tell a great deal of thought and care had gone into every detail. We never found ourselves wishing for anything.
Between the amazing location, the one-of-a-kind atmosphere, and the outstanding hospitality, this was one of the most enjoyable places we’ve stayed. We left already talking about coming back, and I have no doubt we’ll be returning. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our family time spent at the yurt. The trip provided memories for us to look back on, something that we plan to continue to do each season of life as we raise our son. The views are amazing. The peacefulness of the surroundings was exactly what we needed. Dog friendly was a high plus! Our Sophie girl loved it. This yurt had it all! It made our time so much more enjoyable to not have to worry about a thing. We will definitely be returning.

I'm leaving a 5 star because thats what is deserved, but I the little devil on my left shoulder says to leave 1 so it doesnt get too popular!
The creek and surrounding areas are serene. Lots of deer around, especially in the morning! Our dogs loved playing in the water and fetching sticks. It was great to let them roam! We enjoyed cooking and spending time in the yurt.

This was a most excellent stay in the magical river yurt! We could have had a better time. The people in the area we so friendly and there is so much to see and do.
The yurt itself was so fun to stay in. The hostess had absolutely everything that we would have needed for our stay. She thought of everything.

Our absolutely wonderful 10 Wedding Anniversary stay at Magical Riverside Yurt by JoDee, was the getaway we needed. Laid back, private, peaceful and amazingly well stocked with almost everything you'd ever want. The coffee bar was amazing. Sitting in the hot tub while looking at the billions of stars with the full Milky Way overhead was epic. Our first time staying in a Yurt was a pleasure. I had no idea it would be so comfortable and accommodating. JoDee has I think 5 different properties to choose from. Make sure to check out this well deserved Super Host.

Stayed on a long weekend with my partner and our two dogs and can’t overstate what an amazing space Jodee has created. It delivered everything we were initially looking for: a great space for the dogs to run around and play, a creek to wade/fish, living amenities (kitchen, bathroom, ac/heat, bed), great views, and a place to unwind (hot tub/firepit/hammock). What we didn’t expect was how much attention to detail and well curated everything was in an unassuming yurt. Everything, from the arrangements of the stones in the firepit to the hippy decor, felt so well curated and thoughtfully put together. Throughout our stay we would find more little details that really just helped us fall more in love with the place. Jodee was a great host, available for anything we may have needed while we still had all the privacy we needed.
If you’re looking for a relaxing/private outdoor space with all the amenities of an indoor space, then this is the place to be. We were absolutely enchanted by our stay and fully intend to spend another magical weekend here again.
Tip: Renting the side by side is a fun way to explore the area! A lot of hilly backroads to ride along while seeing local wild life and neighborhoods. The best part was our big dogs were able to sit in the back and enjoy the ride after playing in the creek all day.

The Yurt was amazing. Jodee was so accommodating and thought of every little detail to make things perfect! She even has fishing poles and floats and firewood! The scenery is beautiful, the hot tub was so clean and nice. The entire stay was magical. We loved all the extra special touches...bath robes were a huge hit after soaking in the big tub!! We lover every thing about it and even caught fish!!!! Will definitely be back!!!

Magical Riverside Yurt
JoDee's Yurt was extremely relaxing. There are plenty of activities to do in and around the area and nearby Floyd has good food and shops. There was fishing gear and kindling that we didn't use but thought was a great addition to have. The bed was more comfortable than we had anticipated which was a good surprise.

Our stay was perfect. We were able to rest and relax. It was very peaceful listening to the stream, sitting on the deck and using the hot tub. If you want a place to unwind and slow down, this is where you need to be.

The yurt was super well outfitted, with basically everything you could need! I loved resting in the hammock by the creek. Our stay was lovely and Jodee was quick to answer any questions we had.

Magical Riverside Yurt
This was my first time ever using hipcamp and I could not have chosen a better place. Jodee was a wonderful host, and the yurt was indeed magical! It was so cozy and had everything we needed to be comfortable. We built a fire one night in the fire pit with the firewood that was provided. We also drove the buggy down some lovely trails and saw so many deer! I would absolutely stay here again, and have already told a friend about it who is interested after seeing the pictures from our trip. Can’t say enough good things about this place and Jodee!

This place is so beautiful! It’s a very private place to stay and the host is wonderful. She was very responsive and nice to talk with. The campfire was well maintained and stocked with what you would need. The hot tub was perfect and great to be in on a cold fall night. All the other amenities were in well working order and kept us cosy. You can’t go wrong with this place. Very relaxing and easy going.

Truly an amazing trip with serenity abounding! The yurt itself was inviting, extremely clean and beyond cozy. Jodee is an exceptional host who communicated with a focused attention to detail to ensure we had a magical experience! She was quickly responsive to our questions throughout our stay and provided excellent recommendations to enhance our trip! The amenities allowed us the opportunity to relax by the water, soak in the hot tub under the stars, watch the deer in the field in the mornings and explore the surroundings with the side by side. The yurt is well stocked with kitchen, bath and laundry supplies. We loved the fire pit and falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the gentle water. Our entire trip exceeded our expectations and we cannot wait to return to make more magical memories!! Thank you Jodee!!!!

My husband and I brought our two dogs with us to stay on JoDee's incredible property. Upon arrival, my husband was especially struck by the scenery, calling it heavenly. The blooming flowers, the adorable yurt, the large field, the lazy river - it was picturesque. The yurt is well stocked and very cozy. We loved that the deck was enclosed and that our dogs could relax out there. The hot tub is a great addition! We played in the river, using the floaties provided.
We checked out nearby Floyd (definitely check out Five Mile Distillery!) And Hillsville (there's a cool antique shop downtown). Honestly, though, I would have been completely happy just staying on the property all weekend long. When it was time to check out, I found it very hard to leave. I really can't wait to return!

This yurt was AMAZING. It looked even better in person. It had everything you could’ve needed. It was right on the water with amazing views. Was so at peace here and will definitely be back! Jodee was really great in making sure we had everything we needed.

This place is absolutely gorgeous the setting the yurt the stream the fields watching fireflies light up the forest while in the hot tub stargazing breathing the fresh air, everything was just fantastic! The yurt was complete with everything you could possibly need and decorated so great. This is a solid built yurt great heat and air conditioning, the porch is a perfect place for morning coffe, and evening drinks. JoDee and her pups were so friendly! Would be a fantastic place to go no matter what time of year! A special find❤️

This was our first yurt experience and it was wonderful! It was a close to perfect honeymoon. The view was amazing and peaceful next to the stream. Happy place! We rented the side by side for a day, we went exploring and fishing. JoDee was a great hostess and we didn't have any issues with our time there. If you want a great spot to decompress from the stress of your beautiful mess, this is the place!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The weather was cold and very windy, but the yurt was warm inside and you never felt a draft. Renting the side by side was so fun and the dirt roads around the area had beautiful views and the directions jodee left were great. Going into Floyd for the Friday night jamboree at the country store was a fun experience. Our family can't wait to come back!

My friend and I loved staying at the magical riverside yurt! The yurt was so cozy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A couple of our favorite features were the hot tub and wood burning stove. The surroundings are so serene, it was lovely to hear the river, birds and all the sounds of nature. Definitely recommend visiting the nearby town of Floyd and also going in a hike! Jodee was an awesome host, I would definitely stay here again!

Magical Riverside Yurt
Beautiful land with amazing fun. We caught so many small fish in the creek, and my four year old had all the room in the world to run around. The yurt was cozy and we loved the loft area. Definitely recommend the hot tub under the stars

Magical Riverside Yurt
A wonderful luxury glamping experience on a wet and chilly winter day. All the modern amenities you will need for cooking, keeping warm, sleeping, washing etc. Even appliances like an Instant Pot and air fryer/toaster came in very handy. The hot tub was certainly the highlight and we used it multiple times even despite the cold and rain. The fireplace and shower made it easy to warm up afterwards. We will definitely be back again.

What a beautiful space to relax and recharge. It has a really good energy. At night we lit candles and kept the lights off. Two soaks in the hot tub and one bath later I feel like I spent the weekend at a spa. Can't wait to go back! Thank you JoDee!!!
