Bee Hive on the Mountain
Awesome Glamping Trip
Such nice touches and everything you need. Well stocked kitchen and extra supplies (blankets, towels, cleaning supplies). Stayed pretty toasty at night. I was trying to introduce my husband to Glamping instead of camping for the good of the family and a yurt is definitely the way to go. We slept upstairs in the loft, our toddler in the pull out couch and (don’t judge us) our infant in the pack n play in the shower (it was the darkest room). So if you need to get creative, there are options. Plenty of firewood but it was pretty smoky, I think because of the rain. The fire wasn’t getting hot enough to cook food but no fret-there’s a stovetop and toaster oven. The perks of Glamping.
Warning: This is literally on the side of a mountain. It’s beautiful and fun but there are many steep steps and the fire pit is at an angle too. I know that should be implied based on location but as someone from the midwestern Great Plains, I could not picture a yurt on the side of a mountain. It’s mostly on beams with the edge of the yurt touching the ground.
But no worries the closed, wraparound deck was perfect for our toddler and dog to run around.
Oh and hot tub was nice too. Was very warm and super full.

Perfect place for an anniversary!
We absolutely loved it! Scott and Callie thought of everything, and we were able to enjoy our stay despite the bad weather. And since we were celebrating our 14th anniversary, we didn't mind staying in and spending romantic time indoors. The hot tub was the icing on the cake. My husband was skeptical at first given the weather, but once we were in the water, it was like being in a tropical paradise! We will definitely recommend to our friends and family, and we will 100% be back!

Bee Hive on the Mountain
Cosy, quiet home on the mountain.
Great stay in Fancy Gap. The yurt is one of three on a quiet country road with easy access to the highway. Beehive on the Mountain was a joy! It's a cosy tiny space which was perfect for my husband and I (seniors). The decor is impeccable. Everything we could ask for was provided plus some extra little touches we didn't expect. Well outfitted kitchen, comfortable bathroom with a walk-in shower and a bathtub. Lovely loft bedroom with a view of the sky through the oculus. Washer and dryer to catch up on our mid-trip laundry. Especially nice was the climate control system that was easy to use since the temperature outside went from 85 to 19 during our stay. A gas fireplace made it even cosier. I do want to mention that the driveway/parking area is down a pretty long flight of steps.

Bee Hive on the Mountain
Nestled in Nature!
Un-BEE-lievable! We loved this cozy, little hive! Once we arrived, we never left! It was so nice to disconnect, sit on the deck up in the trees, and listen to the rustling of the leaves and the chirping of the birds! It provided the perfect opportunity to just slow down and take it all in! Aside from being nestled in nature, there were many nice touches of comfort, from scented candles to cozy blankets! Our tween daughters were pleasantly surprised that face masks and bath bombs were included! Everyone in our family, including our four-legged member, raved about the hive!
