Our stay at the Beehive proved to be restful and fun for our family of four and dog, Bodie. Everything was clean and well-stocked. The driveway was easy for our minivan to tackle mid-spring… a concern for me from some of the winter reviews. We definitely recommend for others and really hope to come back in the fall sometime.

The place was as it is on the pictures, the experience is different but very enjoyable. I rented the place to celebrate my bf's birthday, we enjoyed a lot the hot tub which was very warm and clean, we cooked, made drinks, watch movies and play board games. Great place to spend quality time with the people we love. We loved being able to bring our fur baby as well

A very peaceful and cozy getaway! This site is between two other yurts but there is enough privacy to feel alone. There is great heating and cooling with a dehumidifier so the temperature inside can be made perfectly comfortable.

Bee Hive on the Mountain
Un-BEE-leivable. Great views and area! Kitchen has everything you need to cook some meals. Stovetop, pots, pans, basic spices. Be careful, the place heats up quick especially if you’re sleeping in the loft. Bathroom is really nice with a full tub and shower. The hot tub is cool. Be careful on the steps up in ice and snow, it’s all manageable though. My girlfriend and I had an awesome stay. You have your own firepit as well. The Old Country Store has some good food if you need to grab something, try mamaw’s banana pudding!

It is not mentioned anywhere in this listing that the yurt is located on a seasonal access road, which means during the winter months it could be covered in snow/ice and inaccessible even with 4 wheel drive. We could not make it up to the yurt and neither could the people who had rented the other two during the weekend. We ended up having to ask a neighbor if we could park on their property at the bottom of the hill and then hike up, had they not let us we would have had to drive 2 hours home.
With that being said the yurt itself is wonderful, had everything we could have needed in the kitchen and was very cozy for our weekend.

These yurts are awesome! We loved staying here and relaxing for the weekend. It has all of the glamping touches and the hot tub on the deck is pretty great! The only issue we had is that they are on a seasonal use road which we were not informed of and that we couldn’t safely drive up in our car. We did a lot of walking and got really lucky that one of the neighbors at the bottom of the hill was kind enough to let us park there for the weekend and she even drove us up the hill! Scott offered very little help other than a refund so we could drive the 2+ hours home. If the owner won’t tell you, I will. We saw 3+ cars get stuck on this hill due to snow and ice. Trucks with 4wd were sliding into the ditch. Please be aware of weather conditions because you won’t be given a heads up.
