Yurt yes! Customer service no!
The stay at the yurt itself was exactly what we had anticipated, so if I was rating the yurt itself then it is a must. However, there were a couple of concerns that I had at the initial yurt encounter, one of which was a live in mouse, and the replies I received back from the owner of the yurt were not customer friendly at all.

Peace and Quiet
The yurt was amazing! The area around is forest and away from busy roads so it was quiet and peaceful! The yurt had a full kitchen which was nice to cook a good meal, a comfy bed, and a great fireplace.

Somewhat misleading but asolid spo
Overall, solid value and spot. Cute homey decor.
Having said that, a bit misleading listing. There are pictures and listing of a private outdoor fireplace on the back patio. Also, there is no mention of there not being any keys to the house and everything being required to be unlocked.
Two days prior to arrival, we received the above information. Honestly, I wouldn’t have booked the place if I knew I didn’t have a private outdoor fire pit or keys to locked doors.
I understand that neighbors are safe and whatnot, but it’s unsettling having to leave behind things with doors not locked.
Recommend for travelers to seek additional clarification from host. She was reasonable but the misleading listing was very frustrating.

A wonderful stay.
Our stay was incredibly relaxing. This yurt is so cool and had all the amenities we wanted and needed. I felt very safe and would recommend this stay to anyone!

Everything we needed
We really enjoyed our stay in the big yurt - it was amazing to have so much space! The views and the property are LOVELY. We took advantage of the trails on the warmest day of our stay and had a great little hike. The yurt included everything we needed, which is always appreciated! It was especially fun to be able to bring our dogs and let them enjoy the property, too. A beautiful getaway and one we’d like to return to!

Erika's Yurt (we stayed in the large with the bonus yurt) was just awesome! It's hard to describe how comfortable and quirky it is, but if you are staying in the area, it makes for a wonderful getaway. It's as well appointed as it needs to be. It was a warm November weekend while we were there so I can't say how it stands up to the cold, but we were always comfortable. Highly recommend!

This place was amazing! It is such a cozy little spot away from everything and you can just tell how much love went into its design and build. I will definitely be coming back with friends sometime in the future.

Special place!
This place is truly truly special! I really hope we get to come back some day, the view was spectacular and the space is so much fun.
Only con is that the couch and the beds are absolutely totally worn out. If you are someone with back or neck issues you will need a massage or chiropractor visit after your stay. I’ve never been to vacation rental that had a nice bed though- so no big surprise.

We hope to come back every year
Second time coming to the yurt with our family. It’s a wonderful space, cozy despite chilly nights, with all the basic supplies we needed for 4 people. Loved having the the second small yurt for kids to sleep in (the “Tiny chair” is amazing). Kids were bummed (but parents relieved) there is no zip line anymore, but they enjoyed all the cozy nooks, toys and stuffed animals, piano and drum. Sound does carry, so if your neighbors are watching loud movies (or your own kids are loud…) you’ll hear it depending where you are in the yurts. Otherwise, peaceful, 30 min to Floyd, wonderful place to get away.

Road trip stop with our dog!
Amazing property, unique and homey decor. This is not your typical yurt, and feels like a warm comfortable home. We really enjoyed our stay here and our big dog did too :)

My wife, son, and I had such a great time staying here! We wish we could have stayed longer and had more time to soak in the Mountain Views and enjoy all the property had to offer, but we loved every bit of what we were able to experience! Definitely recommend!

Yurt Vibes!
The amenities and vibe of this yurt are lovely- not to mention, you get to sleep in a yurt! This place has everything- a full kitchen, a full bathroom, games, books, a TV, a desk, and so much more. You can tell that thought and care went into every detail.
You enjoy days inside the yurt itself, but there is more to see outside! The yurt has a wrap-around porch, so you can sit and look out in any direction. Forest is all around, with plenty of hiking trails!
If you are just passing through, or even if you live nearby and need a getaway, this is the place for you!

This was my first experience in a yurt. It definitely was amazing and will be back again. Erika, the hostess, was very quick with her responses to questions. The yurts are amazing. The decor was very nice. Having a full bath, kitchen and laundry made this booking even better. Having three bedrooms and loft gave lots of options for sleeping. It was very quiet and definitely have lots of privacy. Also, the directions she gives to get to the yurt were amazing. As well as the restaurant recommendations. Full disclosure they are at minimum 30 minutes away. However, great choices and several all close together.

Adorable Yurt!
The yurt was so adorable with a great view!! It was very comfortable and had a nice little set up to cover all your needs. Our dogs seemed to really enjoy it as well! I would definitely be interested in going back and exploring the trails on the property more.

Great Anniversary Spot
My husband and I spent 4 nights in the Chic Yurt to celebrate our 40th Anniversary. We have always enjoyed camping but wanted to try glamping. Turns out it was better than most hotels and very affordable. The location was peaceful and beautiful. Yurt was well supplied and comfortable. Close enough to Floyd that we were able to take in music and restaurants. Wonderful spot.

Five Star Yurting
Yurting is the perfect combination of camping (tent in the woods, clearly hear the birds and crickets sing, rain on the roof) and have access to amenities that make the stay a little easier (shower, kitchen, comfy couch). Erika's yurt was clean, comfortable and charming. Hiking close by (Bottom Creek Gorge Preserve as well as on the property), and not far from the cute, fun town of Floyd.

Great spot!
It's an amazing stay! The yurt is excellent and supports four people perfectly. The deck around the yurt was a great hang out spot. Has a fridge, stove, microwave and all the kitchen supplies you'll need.

We loved our stay at Erika's yurt. So hard to believe it had all the amenities of a home - including washer and dryer and cool shower with lots of digital temp and spray settings. A few windows lacked screens so we kept them closed to keep insects out, but good ventilation from the others. Living room sofa sinks quite a bit so we didn't hang out there. Otherwise everything really comfortable including beds. We enjoyed the big deck out back and the entire property was beautiful and peaceful. Floyd, a quick 20 min away, is definitely worth a visit. We really wished we had stayed more than two nights and plan to return again and stay at this yurt! Thanks, Erika!
