I made a return visit to Hippie Hollow, it had been about a year since my last and the place continues to grow. An impressive bath house is near completion and I can only assume from looking at the outside it's going to be nice.
I went up for the "Why not Wednesdays" music series and there's something to be said about placing one's chair in a creek on a hot summer day and taking in some tunes that can't be replicated in a concert hall or bar.
Sly, the owner was welcoming and took the time to introduce me to some of the local attendees.
The site was clean and clear and had a water shoot behind it that produced a nice white noise to drift off to sleep by.
It's not your typical RV park and I mean that as a compliment.

Hippie Hollow is a hidden gem! The camp is right next to the river which is very beautiful and relaxing. Sly was very welcoming and accommodating. He sells firewood on site. The shower house was very clean. Great vibes. Highly recommend.

Nice little campground. Jeremy was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed listening to the music. Shame the rain came in pretty hard the second set of the Counterfeit Crows. We retreated to back to our camper and continued listening to them from there. They kept right on playing even with the rain coming down!

Absolutely one of the best camping experiences of all time. Highly recommend. Chill vibes, Awesome people. It felt like home. Two stages and stellar musical performances. A beautiful campground a few miles from Floyd. The organic farmers market in Floyd is worth a visit too. Thanks to Sly for being such a gracious host!

Such a cool spot. You really don’t even notice any noise from the road. The water access is great and makes it just such a beautiful spot!
We had a tent and easy up and it worked out perfectly. Sly, as always, was super welcoming and the on site amenities (restroom/shower/community kitchen and area/ stage for live music) is a game changer. Any site at hippy hollow is going to be a good time! Pet friendly. There are chickens running around so as long as your dogs don’t mind that, you’re golden!

Beautiful spot, just out of town. All amenities were great, especially the very well equipped outdoor kitchen. Sly was very accommodating, and present, and just a super nice guy.

We had a blast. Perfect for the family. My kids 8 and 6 played all day in the creek. Great little swimming hole and the music on Wednesday was lovely.

Hippie Hollow completely stole our hearts.
The second we pulled in, it felt less like checking into a campground and more like accidentally finding the coolest family reunion you've never been invited to... except everyone immediately invites you anyway.
Sly is an absolute legend! The kind of human who makes you feel like you've been friends for years within five minutes. You can tell this place isn't just a business......it's his heart, and it shows in every little detail.
My daughter immediately declared herself queen of the campground, adopted the resident cat, floated the creek like she owned it, lived in the hammocks with her brother, and somehow turned a towel into high fashion. I spent my days drinking wine in the outdoor kitchen, smiling like an idiot, and wondering why real life can't always feel this peaceful...
The vintage camper is ridiculously charming, the outdoor kitchen has everything you need, the creek is perfect for cooling off, the stage and gathering area make you want to stay for "just one more night," and somehow everyone leaves feeling like old friends. The campground is also just minutes from downtown Floyd, which made exploring super easy.
This isn't one of those places where you're counting down until checkout.

We loved our stay at Hippie Hollow! Sly is attentive and the whole place is inviting and has a laid back vibe. We were lucky enough to be there for the music in the creek which was incredible! Our site felt private enough and the waterfall made for a peaceful sleep. I highly recommend this special place!

We really enjoyed camping at Hippie Hollow. The facilities were really nice and the creek was lovely. The campsites are close together but still feel private, and finding the location and checking in was a breeze.

Five stars for the ultimate mix of adventure and great energy! Hippie Hollow offers beautiful mountain weather close to downtown Floyd. Falling asleep to the sound of the creek and waterfall is unbeatable. The vibe here is completely relaxed, dog-friendly, and free of rigid rules. You can buy firewood on-site and just enjoy the mountains. Make sure to check their Facebook page before you go so you don't miss their awesome live music events!

Such a nice little retreat on a creek in Floyd. Super laid back, with a nice bathroom/shower. Cool stage for music, campfire space, and a great host! Sly was very accommodating and helpful parking my "new-to-me" pop up. We will 100% be back to visit very soon!

As usual, the place is kept nicely. The camper we rented was clean and cute. The people were friendly and kind. Animals, fish, butterflies everywhere. Community gathering areas and more private sites.
This was our third time staying and we enjoyed it!

Great vibe! Very cool setting, so cool , I would be hard pressed to share it, if it was my property. His vision for his camp, is like a mini music festival.. whats not to love about that! My dog was living her best life off the leash in and out of the water! We ( me and 2 pups) LOVED OUR SITE.. as well as everything Sly was offering. Live music is such an awesome offering! Outstanding .. I will definitely return.😎✌️

Great location with a credible creek to lull you to sleep. Trailer was very comfy and clean. I really appreciated the fridge stove and dishes so you can easily cook for yourself. Sly was a great host and very responsive to any questions or concerns. Better than any hotel!

Hippie Hollow is an AMAZING campsite and we can’t recommend it enough! The location is excellent, the site is beautiful and the vibes are perfect. Plus our host Sly was awesome! 10/10 will stay here next time we’re in Floyd!
