100 Acres of forested land in the Draper, Virginia area with scattered clearings that are connected by various roads/trails throughout. Over the years cutting roads has been a hobby that has resulted in miles of cleared pathways throughout the property that are perfect for hiking, running, cycling, and horseback riding. The property includes a small stream, several ravines, ridge lines and trails to explore. We frequently encounter deer, rabbits, squirrels, and the occasional turkey, black bear, coyotes and Bigfoot. The thing people seem to enjoy most is the privacy and and quiet that allows you to connect with nature with no one else around. Things to watch out for other than the wildlife mentioned above the two main concerns in this part of Virginia are deer ticks and poison ivy. We are located about 5 minutes from I-81 or 15 minutes from I-77 making it an easy place to stop when passing through on your way to other adventures. If you are coming on I-81, use exit 89-A. Don't let Google maps take you to Frog Level Ct near the town of Pulaski (LOL). Nearby attractions include Appalachian Gem and Gold Mine on Route 100 (5 min), New River Trail State Park (10 min), Claytor Lake State Park (20 min) and the Town of Draper has a couple small town shops to explore including The Draper Mercantile and Trading Company and the newly opened Conery where you can get wonderful ice cream cones and more. We love hosting campers and are happy to help make accommodations to help you have an enjoyable stay. We have 3 sites but only allow 2 to be in use at a time on the property. This insures that all guests continue to feel complete privacy from others and allows us to always have an alternate site available if campers want to change. Available "Extras" include portable toilet setup, Woodshop class making a cutting board, big foot siting's as well as various camping gear items and games. If there are other extra's you would like to see or something you forgot to bring please let us know and we will see what we can do.

Bruington Meadow Campsite

We can reconfirm what others have said: One of the best Hipcamp sites we have experienced! David has staked out a beautiful slice of Heaven in the rolling hills of the 100 Acre Woods. So do take the tour if offered! Each unique site is spacious, clean and very private. And we had no trouble towing our small camper up the hill to Bruington Meadow with a 4wd Outback. Cell service (Verizon) at the site was decent. And though there are many, many, many amazing roads to explore, we enjoyed just sitting by the fire and enjoying the view. We'll save the roads for our next trip back here. Which we hope is soon!

Up On Top Campsite

This was our second time staying here and it was even more wonderful than the first! We were able to explore more since the weather was gorgeous and explore we did! There are so many trails and so much to see. I love how they have the perfect harmony of keeping the campgrounds and trails maintained while leaving the rest natural. Words and pictures can't do this site justice, it's seriously everything and more that you want when escaping into nature. David is so accommodating and goes well beyond what any host has done for our hip camps we've been to before. It's clear he does this because he loves it and wants to provide an exceptional experience for his guests. I wish we could keep this place our little secret, but I also feel like people who love beautiful views and nature simply must visit. So if you're out in the area, give it a visit and recharge yourself with nature.

I loved tent camping on David’s land! David is an amazing host, super helpful and kind. David even surprised us with a tractor ride around the land! We brought our dogs and were able to camp with them off leash all weekend. The views from the Up On Top site are breathtaking in person! This would be a beautiful site for stargazing as well! We loved our stay and will be returning in the future!

Bruington Meadow Campsite

Stayed one night at Burlington Meadow and had a great experience! David was an excellent host; super friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The campsite itself was peaceful and very secluded, offering plenty of privacy and a real sense of being immersed in nature. There were plenty of paths to explore right on the property. Would definitely recommend this site to anyone looking for a quiet, scenic getaway!
