This campsite is amazing! Had a great two nights here with some buddies. The dwelling is a great convenience and our host provided a lot of basics which were helpful if we forgot something.

Quiet little site, tucked away and private. Cabin was great, and we had an awesome night's sleep. Property owner's dog is social and friendly!

We had a great time staying here for the weekend!! It had everything we needed and felt incredibly private while also not completely isolated. The host is very responsive to any questions and the location is great. We loved being able to use both a propane stove and fire, had portable chargers, comfortable sleeping arrangements and overall great!

This was the most relaxing spot I think I have ever found. So quiet and peaceful. Comfy bed, easy to get to. And the biggest bonus was my dog could run off leash and found a friend with Silas! I can’t wait to come back .

Really nice place. The cabin is small but worked fine for 3 guys sleeping with a little rearrangement. Good location for a lot of stuff to do. We ended up tubing on the New River and that was a great time.

This spot was lovely to say the least. It’s in a quiet tucked away spot, I felt like I had enough privacy but took comfort in knowing the hosts live close by on the property in case of emergency.
They provided some water, firewood optional, a camping stove, lanterns and a few other small items that made a difference. My dog and I loved the pond that was just a short walk from the site. The dog who lives on the property was my dog’s little pal for the time we were there. Everything was clean by camping standards.
I got to truly relax here and it felt safe. I would recommend this spot to anyone looking to unwind in a very aesthetically pleasing setting. I would love to visit again sometime!

What a lovely retreat! A comfy & cozy stay tucked in the woods, surrounded by ferns and trees. Silas the canine camp host was a highlight…he played so respectfully with our old dog, we were shocked to see her running around with him and playing “tag!” The pond was great, and we look forward to coming back and exploring the trails! Our campsite was an easy walk to the pond and gathering areas, yet still felt completely private. FYI, the path down to the cabin is a little steep if you need to be mindful of how heavy your cooler is when you pack it. We highly recommend the fox den!

My partner and I had a lovely weekend away here! Having access to the little pond, a sweet hike and the “tour guide” dog were some of the best parts! Also provided several amenities that we were pleasantly surprised by! Would highly recommend this sweet little spot(:

Our stay at Jeanene’s Hipcamp was nothing short of amazing! We were able to truly connect with nature, enjoy a beautiful hike, and take time to recharge our souls. One of the highlights was hanging out with Sila, the sweetest dog who made our experience even more special. We’ve traveled to many places, including Colorado, but this spot has a unique charm that sets it apart. The peaceful surroundings and thoughtful touches made it a perfect getaway. We had an amazing time at The Fox Den! The site was amazing with hiking trails and our four-legged tour guide Silas. The views were fantastic and the town of Floyd was worth exploring. Such a great getaway! ❤️

Was a good experience. The road to the A-frame is extremely easy to find. Is a nice little set up. Propane is provided for the stove (bring a lighter, the one provided did not work), water is provided in a copper dispenser, lanterns are charged up, firewood was a nice addition, and the outhouse is the nicest one I have ever used (the wood chips keep the smell to a minimum). The hosts also ensure you understand the directions and message you ahead of time. There is 1 bar of service at the parking area. Overall 10/10 experience, would definitely recommend, just pull the trigger you won’t regret it, wish I got to spend more than one night.

We loved our stay at the fox den and it was the perfect level of “glamp”. Private, cozy, and comfortable with basically everything you need, just byo blankets. It’s clear that Jeanene paid attention to the details that make her spot homey.
Also, we were impressed by the carpentry of the structure!

Whole experience was fantastic. The property was beautiful, the A-frame was well maintained and very comfortable. And big Silas the tour guide was the highlight of our stay. Would recommended to anyone stopping in that area.

Loved this place so much! We loved being secluded in the woods with just a short walk to the pond. Our dogs loved all the water and hiking around. Silas showed us all around and had our pups so tired! Seriously this little place was just so perfect. Bring sheets and pillows but they had everything else!
For future guests(they don’t use Hipcamp as often so try finding on Airbnb). There are two entrances, the first you have to drive further so the stay left at the fork won’t make sense but keep driving past the pond and it’s on your right.

Peaceful and great place to unwind. Easy to find with the directions given and if you're looking to be off grid but still have some amenities this is a great place. Hiking trail on the property was unexpected and was a highlight for me.

Absolutely amazing, very private and off the grid. So many amenities that were a surprise! Violet ( the host dog) was a sweetheart! She came to check on us each morning. Very well maintained and safe! The A-frame was beautiful! Will be back! ❤️💕🥰

Beautiful, quiet place with everything you need to be comfortable. When I arrived I came up a different driveway than most do so the directions weren’t accurate for me, but the host answered her phone and helped me out. And their dog started running ahead of my car showing me the way. So cute! Wonderful, convenient place close to downtown. I will definitely be returning.

Absolutely no communication from Host.
Incorrect directions for Google Maps. We were driving around at night for thirty minutes to try to find the cabin.
I would suggest curtains for the windows.
It is a beautiful location but improvements should be made.
