Peace Hill Farm is a working family farm with home-produced meat, crops, and wool: we raise Angora goats, Leicester Longwool and Merino sheep, miniature Holstein cows, draft horses, Mangalitsa pigs, ducks, and chickens. We sell raw fleeces, rovings, and a whole range of colorful farm-produced yarns. In the summer, we have pick-your-own orchard fruits. Our farm store carries a full range of farm products plus selected arts and crafts made by local artisans. We offer afternoon teas and dinners along with a full range of hand-selected wines. Farm tours run year-round.

The Henhouse

100%
(1)
Cabin · Sleeps 6 · 2 bedrooms · 3 beds · 1 toilet
Beautifully restored from a hand-built turn-of-the-century chicken house, the Henhouse is a private cabin offering the perfect cozy retreat for couples, families with children, or friends. Peaceful light-filled rooms, original wood floors and ceilings, barn doors, local artwork, and antique furnishings recall the Henhouse’s origins as a farm building. The king bedroom is quiet and elegant, with a four-poster bed and windows looking out on a stream and woods. The sunny bunk room boasts a queen bed on the bottom and a twin on the top, plenty of space for clothes and toys, and an assortment of classic games and books. The Great Room, stretching the length of the Henhouse, has the original low blown-glass windows plus clerestory windows along the roofline that give a beautiful view of the pond. The Great Room hosts a comfortable sitting area, dining area with antique table and dresser, and reading nook with an excellent assortment of classic (and fun!) books for children and grown-ups—as well as more games, toys, a braided rug, and welcoming beanbag chairs for younger readers. Around the corner is a full kitchen, well stocked with dishes, cooking equipment, Keurig coffee maker, and everything you need to fix a full breakfast or casual dinner. Or add breakfast at the B&B to your online booking, and walk through the woods for a gourmet morning meal. (Dinners and teas can also be booked at checkou!) A full bath, closet for hanging clothes, and washer-dryer make the Henhouse the perfect place for a multi-night stay or a fun family trip. Next, to the Henhouse, our fishing pond (complete with dock and outdoor fireplace) offers guests the chance to fish, canoe, or just sit next to the fire and birdwatch. The Henhouse’s full private deck is the perfect place to eat an outdoor meal overlooking the water or to just relax with a book. You might be visited by our flock of Angora goats, or glimpse our ducks exploring the nearby waters. Take a walk around the farm and see the sheep, horses, pigs, chickens, and mini-cows as well! The Henhouse sleeps 4-5 but can host up to 6 guests with our complimentary inflatable mattresses (with linens!) placed in the Great Room. Please contact Innkeepers if a high chair is needed. The Henhouse can be reserved by giving us a call, or online through our Bed & Breakfast booking website: https://www.historicpeacehill.com/peacehillbb
